That's a great question Ryan. For EIB we've really not made a point of having a finishing strip in the back, and while one would think Centurion would have it we've not crafted language yet that would cover it, though I suspect we will at some point in the future. As for velcro vs. glue - as Brian said this is your call - we don't enforce it either way but would agree it looks far better glued. The advantage of velcro is you can do a few troops to validate the trimming before permanently gluing shut, but someone else pointed out that they just use a less permanent glue or glue in just a few spots for the first few troops to allow easier de-bonding for re-trimming, then fully glue once they are 100% confident of the fit. This seems to make more sense to me, really.

Looking great Charlie - I'm sure Mason will review this soon. Would be great to see more EI in Garrison Titan. -
TK-6778 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status
Daetrin replied to Muppet-Trooper's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Just wondering if these changes were made? Seems you're very close. -
No. There are still some questions as to the origins of your armor. Please post pix of untrimmed parts. Others on the staff will request additional photos shortly.

TK9415 requesting ANH Stunt EI status[176][AM]
Daetrin replied to C HERM's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Looking great! You going for the Centurion as well? You look fantastic did a super job on that AM. -
Wow, we've hit a bit of a dry spell - not even cracked 200 yet. What's the holdup folks? What can we do to get this back on track? Free drinks?

Rego's Incinerator (pic heavy)
Daetrin replied to Rego's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
It's coming along great! I think tapering the left thigh a bit will enhance the look. As for the thigh pouch - while it will need to be removed for acceptance pictures it's a neat piece for non-canon events. I'd say go for the door trim while you're at it - Mason found a very cheap source and would add that extra flair of accuracy for little investment. Might as well if you're going to invert the ab plate -
Mathias/Joey - can you please list some thoughts on how to make it better? The 2010 ESB theme was only meant to run that single year and then be replaced in January 2011, so we're a bit behind It will never come back, but we can move forward.

Yup. Pretty much every kit can be done for every costume. It's just how you assemble & paint it wth regards for 501st standards. If you want to go EI or Centurion, then some kits lend themselves to this costume better than others, e.g. JoeR's ROTJ will be easier out of the box than say an AM.

Site is back on for now. FYI that we'll be moving content soon and will have no links posted as well.

Hmm - yeah I hit that too. I'm checking the new ACP but haven't found the setting yet. I'll keep digging - not sure how it changed on the upgrade.

TK-7987 requesting ESB Centurion Status[13][TM*]

How did I miss this thread? Congrats Daniel!! -
Rob - there is no need to apologize for anything. You're doing the right thing and let's not make a mountain out of a molehill. If you have any further questions, just shoot me a PM. Remember that there is no "station" - all 501st members are equals. Not like there's a class system or anything...

Also, if there is a question on branding you can contact RipCode via PM here or the Legion boards. As one of the Legion MBO's they'd be able to explain exactly what would be appropriate/allowable under 501st guidelines.

To be clear, I didn't say it was "all good". I said that in certain circumstances with numerous disclaimers there's a place where it "could" be OK. At the end of the day I see this as a local garrison issue to resolve, not an FISD issue, as every garrison is a wee bit different.

Did you reset them on your profile? I ask in that I get them after I reset my watched topics/threads, and now it works for every new post I reply to.
-
Yup, I needed to do that so I can get a request out to Site5 to see what the CPU usage is with it off. I'll turn it back on once I get a reply from them, e.g. I'm trying to get a baseline. I also want to run a traffic report. I'm hoping later today I'll turn it back on.

My understanding is it comes down to are you representing yourself as a 501st member? If you do an event where you are representing yourself as a 501st member then handing out 501st material such as FISD or Legion flyers is no problem. If you are attending an event as a private person - e.g. a non-garrison event - then you cannot identify yourself as a Legion member, though it may be OK to hand out 501st material as long as you make it clear you are not representing the Legion. Case in point - I did a charity event over the summer that was off the books, and in no way did we advertise ourselves as members of the 501st or Garrison Titan. There was no Legion merch on display, no advertising using Legion or FISD branding, etc. Just a sign that said "have a picture taken with a stormtrooper for charity". When my bucket was off (yes, in other parts of the Legion we're allowed to take buckets off during breaks, and as this wasn't a Legion event I didn't have to follow that rule regardless) and people asked questions, when asked I would answer questions about the Legion and now to join and would hand out my trading card, but I also started out saying I was there as a private person in a private capacity to ensure that base was covered. I think if you ensure that you preface conversations that way and aren't otherwise advertising your attendence as a Legion member of on behalf of the Legion you're fine.

Tom (RogueTrooper), Mason (Dashrazor), Lucas (ZeroRoom), Aaron (Synaptyx), and Matt (Shooter) all deserve the kudos on this. All worked very hard to create what you see and it came together under a very tight deadline. They say there is no "I" in team, and I'm grateful for having such dedicated troopers on staff.

That was the July you replied to ;-)
