  1. "you can clearly see bumpyness in the film, not just as much as we see from the copies made." Vern - can you post those shots? I looked at all the hi-def caps I have and while I saw chips, scuffs, and bad paint, could not find any bumps like one sees on an ATA or TE2. Maybe my eyes aren't as good, but it would be nice to at least see the pix you're seeing.
  2. Awesome Julie - you pull the Juno off really well.
  3. Or, removing the padding under them first and see how that goes?
  4. Wow, some excellent attention to detail - love the little things like the ammo belt
  5. Excellent screen grab! Looks far better than the action figure. It used to be the only home for a TK once it yellowed or couldn't take a shine was the sandtrooper. Now there are three great options: Incinerator, Commander, and Sky Trooper. Looks like the hardest party may be getting the boots to match that gray.
  6. Brian - Mason/Tom are still workong on those sections and they haven't been opened up yet. I'll let Mason chime in on when they'll be ready.
  7. OK, this seems a really strange post in that we're only 57% of the way to the mythical 300, but I say to you that this is perfectly achievable. Think about it this way: -- if just 1 out of 10 Legion TK's went EI this year, we'd exceed the goal. -- if every EI helped one other Legion TK to go EI this year, we'd exceed the goal Why are we doing this? In the end it's about pride in our costuming. Stormtroopers are the backbone of the Legion yet in some respects are lagging behind other costumes in getting members upgraded. I'd like to challenge each and every one of our EI's to help a fellow trooper step up. If you look at the requirements even helping that out of the box FX trooper has never been easier. So, what are you waiting for troops? Vader's invitation? :vader: Troop on!
  8. Congrats Simon! Not only for being #172 but also #24 of the UKG. A few more of you lads and 20% of all EI will be UKG On a more personal note - it's great to see people who've been in the Legion awhile going for their EIB. You look fantastic!
  9. Correct - this is what we see on the ICN/TKC as well: ROTJ body with ANH Stunt helmet (which is as you pointed out). Unlike ICN/TKC though, this has the snowie handplates.
  10. So far it looks like: 1. Take an ROTJ trooper 2. Paint it 3. Add TI chest box/hoses 4. Add a pack Done!
  11. This is the pix referenced on the Legion boards: Bet if Mason wasn't up to his ears in work already he'd have this done. ;-) Hats off to Makazie Squad for diving in - can't wait to see what they come up with.
  12. Understood, but all previous 23 UKG EI removed them from their submission pix. As a reminder these costumes base is the same as the Legion, and the Legion CRL process does not allow the UKG brand on their official pix either. This is something done post-approval by the UKG as a local custom.
  13. Works for me at least. I'm sure Mason will want to weigh in.
  14. Sure enough. Can we presume the snaps are there on all suits? Just wondering as it seems at times I can spot them, at times not, but then my screen caps may not be high def enough.
  15. I got the above via PM, and thought it worthwhile sharing my reply. I hope this helps make this more understandable - in the end since we are all volunteers, the only real way we can say "thank you!" to our members for their measurable and selfless contributions to the members of this detachment and it's mission is via pulblic kudos. It's also good to remember that you don't have to be an "old timer" to qualify. Here was their second question: And my thoughts on this: In the end, it all comes back to one of the first posts I ever wrote "Why a Stormtrooper Detachment?" (http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=20), and our appreciation for those who go above and beyond in contributing to this mission.

  16. Agreed on both counts. I was about to suggest you head on down to the flight deck to welcome Lord Vader to the Death Star as you have a beautiful suit and you look fantastic, but alas the holster should only be affixed with two rivets.
  17. Turned out it was a permissions setting on the custom field - e.g. admins could see it but not anyone else. The reason for is that I had initially set it up the same way as EI, e.g. I had a bit field for showing the badge and a hidden date field for recording the date. However as that was redundant I just swapped it out to use the date instead, which of course then hid the field from everyone. Serves me right for doing some things very sleep deprived. Kudos for Mason (dashrazor) for hopping in and catching this - I'm abashed =:-0
  18. Good point Brian. I think you can still get away with it on the backs as you say by using or not using velcro to secure the backs. There still is the velcro attaching the chest-back - you can see it here: Some looseness here in the back here where the velcro detached?: Also, it's hard to tell but I didn't see any evidence of the front crotch snap in all the screen caps I have - so maybe it's there, maybe not.
  19. I'll take a look at work too. I'm seeing it fine on IE9 and FF4, but perhaps the html is not quite right for IE8/FF3.6.
  20. I've rebuilt all the site's cache - can you guys try again?
  21. Strange - I'm seeing it on both browsers I'm using. Maybe yours is caching?
  22. Expert Infantry Badge - one award per EI costume Stars indicate multiple awards, e.g. Expert Infantry Badge (2nd Award) Expert Infantry Badge (3rd Award) Centurion Badge - one award regardless of number of Centurion costumes FISD Achievement Medal (aka Merit Award) -> Given for exemplary service to, or outstanding achievement for, FISD. Tradition holds that persons currently serving on staff cannot be granted Achievement Medals (else it can become too self-serving). Thus if you see a staff member with an Achievement Medal, they've all earned them prior to joining staff. To date only two people have ever earned a second medal, and no one has earned a third. 1st Award Stars indicate multiple awards, e.g. 2nd Award 3rd Award FISD Service Medal (aka Service Award) -> Awarded for every *full year* a person has served on staff/IPM duty. 1st Award Stars indicate multiple awards, e.g. 2nd Award 3rd Award Having a page that explains them all is a great idea
  23. Strange - I see it. Who do you feel is missing it?
