  1. TK-1636, Michael "Highway" Culp, also assisted me with my TK build (ATA Works ANH Stunt). I would not have joined the 501st without his promise to help fit and assemble virtually all aspects of my armor. In addition, he paid great attention to the details and helped me qualifiy for EIB and Centurion. He clearly has a passion for Star Wars armor and lives the 'Troopers helping Troopers' code! He taught me numerous techniques I have applied to other costumes and have further passed along while helping others. Thanks for all your hours of help Mike!
  2. Wow. Congratulations. That is great! Proud to be a fellow Centurion!
  3. Awesome! Thank you! Thank you all for your help! I think the kit looks great and it is a result of all the great work the Detachment has done. What an incredible resource. I'm off to intimidate the unruly! Long live the Empire!
  4. Thanks again for your time, but I'm not going to make my armor look worse to achieve Centurion status. I easily trimmed the knee belt corners more but lowering the back riveted sides down 3/4 of an inch and patching the old holes with ABS paste (not my favorite medium; I notice a little color change from the acetone and know I can't make it look like new) is just not worth it to me. I might check to see if I can get just a new ATA knee belt in the same ABS color and replace it someday. Perhaps drop box height and other details should be made official requirements for Centurion, then interested people will know what criteria to shoot for in the first place. Thanks again for your efforts and I still enjoyed making my armor! Long live the Detachment.
  5. Thank you. The helmet is all hand painted. Lines were done with Trooperbay stencils (lots of cleanup with toothpick on bleed-throughs).
  6. Thank you for your comments and consideration. I am of the no-strap camp, but will consider it again. I do think moving the knee belt down a bit would look better, but I'll probably have to get a new one as I won't like the look of the patched old holes. A huge thanks to Mike/TK-1636 for all his help and wisdom in assembling it! Back to my post!
  7. Now that there a a couple of us from the Dune Sea Garrison, is there a place we should upload our logo (other EI's have their logo..). Should this be posted in Tech Center instead? Please let me know if there is anything I have to do.
  8. Updated original post! Please let me know if that wasn't what you wanted. Awaiting orders.

  10. I setup the throat mic and it worked great with the iComm. After rewiring the jack for the throat mic, the only two problems I had/have is controlling the volume of the static burst compared to the microphone and the VOX of the iComm when moving my head too much with the throat mic under the neck seal. The system worked great until I had the neck seal rubbing the throat mic every time I moved and it was thinking I was starting to talk.. thus, I had to use the PTT feature and then all was fine using the throat mic under the neck seal..
  11. It is an honor. Thank you and thanks for the comments, I will get to work on improving my kit!
