  1. I had no luck with plyers, I found most wouldn't close all the way around, I did find a way to make the snaps hold better with the tools supplied and a screwdriver http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28934-howto-make-snaps-hold/
  2. Hello and welcome aboard, it's a brave man to ask questions, a silly man who doesn't , good luck with the build
  3. Congratulations trooper
  4. Oh happy day, my Big Brown Bag arrived, thank you once again Joseph for running this competition, I'm one happy Stormtrooper
  5. May be useful -----------
  6. Hello and welcome aboard trooper
  7. Good luck you have a lot of work ahead of you
  8. Have a look at Tony's thread, should find it helpful http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-fotk-build-thread-tk-10116/
  9. I have been using standard black rubber gloves
  10. Nice work
  11. Nice work so far, I found using a sliver based paint really helps to fill in left over lines in 3D printed parts, just apply a few thick coats allowing tor dry in between, easy to sand too.
  12. Yes I believe it's 5 posts minimum
  13. Looking forward to the progress and photos
  14. Congrats and welcome aboard trooper
  15. Have you asked over at Pathfinders http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?act=home, they are looking after shoretroopers
  16. Great work team
  17. You could try some auto cutting polish on it, may work.
  18. I glued in place then used automotive bondo (filler), sanded then primer.
  19. Preparing to be grandfathered and I don't even have kids or grandkids
  20. I had some spray paint handy so used that for a better coating, primer grey followed by a gloss clear
  21. Me too
  22. Love a BBB, as Caleb said Spec Ops look after the Shadow Trooper, you may want to head over there. Here's the CRl http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_shadow_stormtrooper
  23. Says item no longer available so I think that answers the question . eBay or as we call it evilbay is a very big miss for armor, you can from time to time find the odd accessory but really stay away and use these forums
  24. I use a similar tip to your second image but it is rounded on the end and seems to get into the corners quite well. ------- For the cutting disc I use a thin diamond disc, works great with ABS and doesn't melt as much as other cutting discs do. --------
  25. I'd suggest trying another Aker microphone first, I don't have any issues with feedback using the standard microphone and a balaclava.
