  1. Been using some AA 3.7v 2400ma batteries, twice the power of a normal AA battery and still fits in battery holders, also great for upgraded E-11's needing higher than 3 volts.
  2. I left some on mine, got skinny arms so bites aren't an issue
  3. ATA and AP have the same problem, there is a EIB AP with notches in this thread
  4. Research is a big part of the journey, looking forward to the build
  5. When you put it against the other pieces you will see that it will only go one way, the wrong way it doesn't sit properly
  6. Epoxy glue will sometimes soften if you use a heat gun, try that first and if not you've Dday as a fall back
  7. I've made a few in the last few months, pretty much used the French Garrisons drawings and it works fine
  8. DSS TROOP REPORT Day 1 EVENT: Royal Show - Foxtel / Disney Promotion LOCATION: Claremont Showgrounds LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: indoors TROOPERS: Ken - Zander - TK4748 Michael - Chivo - TK4582 Glen - gmrhodes13 - TK85421 Wrangler Liz - Liz - 13310 A helping hand from Corrine REPORT DAY 1: After a long walk from Claremont oval we met up with Ken at gate two, then contacted Mark from Foxtel who promptly arrived and got us into the show. After a briefing of what would be required from us we viewed the change area, sadly it was lacking in space, we retreated and confiscated two disabled / baby changing rooms, a line began to grow as we feverously changed. After apologising for the hold up we headed back to the Foxtel stand while Corrine who was at the show for a look around and Liz ferried back our bags. Mark had erected a Star Wars Rebels backdrop which we quickly had some photos taken in front off before the crowds grew. Liz had been given some Star Wars Rebels badges to hand out to younglings, these quickly ran out, then she was given crayons and football key rings to give out. Time went past quite quickly and soon it was 1pm, Liz managed to organise with show officials a changing area which Corrine ferried troopers and bags too one by one. Liz also managed to secure an area in the admin building for our bags to be left so we could have a look around the show, (who says we don't need wranglers). Once these where stored we bid Ken goodbye as he had to purchase show bags for his younglings and the rest of us headed back to the Foxtel stand for a post troop chat with Mark. Feedback was very good and overhaul he was very happy with everything. Mission complete we went in search of sustenance and a look around the show. INJURIES: none CASUALTIES:: none ARMOR REPAIRS: one holster snap HAPPY PEOPLE: everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: a few scared younglings MISSION STATUS: Day 1 complete, bring on Day 2 TK85421 out. A few pics from today DSS TROOP REPORT Day 2 EVENT: Royal Show - Foxtel / Disney Promotion LOCATION: Claremont Showgrounds LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: indoors TROOPERS: Ken - Zander - TK4748 Mark - TK671 - TK671 Glen - gmrhodes13 - TK85421 Wrangler Liz - Liz - 13310 REPORT DAY 2: An easier start to day 2, the ladies at the admin centre gave us clearance to change in their storeroom area where we stored our bags on the previous day which stoped the need to ferry bags around after we changed. After kitting up we made a quick walk through the morning crowds to the Foxtel boot, Liz mentioned to Mark an idea of moving the backdrop to the side of their area to give them some more room, this worked out a treat. As the previous day the morning seemed to drag but then the crowd picked up and we didn't seem to stop and then it was 1pm, we headed back through the crowds which was quite a bit bigger than the day before, many in the crowd having to get selfies on the go as we where not going to stop as we would never be able to get gong again. Mission complete we bid Mark and Ken goodbye and went back to the Foxtel booth for a post troop chat, on the way I checked my emails and notice one from Wendy our Disney contact, she mentioned it was late noticed but wanted to cancel our troop today as Foxtel had mentioned their quota was down on the previous day and thought it was because of our attendance, unfortunately I had not been on the internet since earlier in the morning and didn't see the email until the afternoon. I apologised to Mark for the mix up and said he should have mentioned it when we first appeared, BUT apparently our presence their today did help, their numbers where up and remarked how many people had shown them photos taken with us while they where signing up for Foxtel. Mark was very pleased with our effort and is looking forward to our return on Thursday. With that we bid him goodbye and hit the showgrounds again. A slightly warmer day and the crowds down compared to Monday. Mark from Foxtel decided they need to do a push on Saturday to try beat their records so more staff have been called in and troopers are not required as space will be a premium, he has added another hour to our Day 4 troop on Friday. INJURIES: None CASUALTIES: None ARMOR REPAIRS: One bell snap HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: A youngling with the loudest scream I have ever heard MISSION STATUS: Day 3 complete, bring on final Day 4 our finale TK85421 out. DSS TROOP REPORT Day 4 Final Day EVENT: Royal Show - Foxtel / Disney Promotion LOCATION: Claremont Showgrounds LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: indoors TROOPERS: Brett - Synkro - 22552 Michael - Chivo - TK4582 Glen - gmrhodes13 - TK85421 Wrangler Liz - Liz - 13310 A helping hand from Missy REPORT DAY 4: Pretty old hands at this gig now, even the ladies in the admin centre don't bat an eyelid when they see us in their office getting changed http://forum.501tag.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif/>/>/>/>. After getting into our armor we presented the ladies with an appreciation certificate and a box of chocolates for all of their help with allocating a changing area and a secure location to store our bags, they were very sad to hear it was our last day at the show. Back to the Foxtel stand for the last time, a few pics with Mark and his crew before we started then the crowds soon increased. As previous days it started slow but soon picked up, many younglings happy to get photo's with troopers and just the odd one or two with screams of horror once they came around the corner. Liz handed out more Foxtel memorabilia, this time it was star shaped fridge magnet clips, Missy lent a hands as the crowds increased. Like previous days these didn't last long and it was back on to stickers once again, kids just love free stuff http://forum.501tag.com/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif/>/>/>/> A longer troop today with an extra hour but it still seemed to go quite quickly, 2pm came and before heading back to get changed Chivo and I went to the channel 9 tent to do some news reading and sit in the Big Brother chair, we also had a few photo's taken some of Perth's past Block contestants Matt and Kim. A few more photo's taken and a quick retreat to the admin building as the crowds started to grow. After changing we headed back for a final chat with Mark and his crew, they where very happy with our attendance this week and hope they will be seeing us at other event in the not too distant future. Time to hit the show grounds one last time (yes Liz curly potato http://forum.501tag.com/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif/>/>) First time I've been to the Perth Royal Show 4 times in one week, as Austin Powers would say "and I'm done" INJURIES: None CASUALTIES: None ARMOR REPAIRS: None HAPPY PEOPLE: Everyone UNHAPPY PEOPLE: A few younglings once again.
