Looking forward to the BBB day and your build progress, the second time is much easier

Looking good. With the the sniper plate I had to pull mine across so I didn't trim all the return edge of the bottom front, I cut a notch into it so the coverstrip held the plate central.

DarthBiscuit's R1TK Build (Jimmiroquai kit)

Nice progress. I find velcro fails more times than elastic and snaps. You also want a little stretch/give for bending so I'd say stay with elastic. In stead of taking off a full front section can you just enlarge the oval area at the rear, again I would try on all your arm armor before trimming, just to check gaps -

Raindrop’s 4.5 AM ANH Stunt Build
gmrhodes13 replied to TheDecisiveRaindrop's topic in ANH Build Threads
Just watch the crimping the posts of the snaps, looks like the one in the image above isn't quite central. A good tip is to first hit the post with a philips head screwdriver, it will splay open the post a little so when you use the snap tool it will crush better. -
There's a great how to here

Off to a good start, you may want to move over to another image host like Imgur as your images are watermarked

NotRookie’s very slow R1TK build (Jimmi)

Added tape to the helmet can be a tedious task, especially when it won't conform to where you want it to go, nice work -

We don't always get everything right the first time, I did the same on my first build. -

TK-84881 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status (ATA) (474)
gmrhodes13 replied to Labaki's topic in Request Centurion Status
Nice work trooper, just a couple of suggestions. You have a gap to your shoulder bell on your right side, you want to match the left side. I would also advise to angle cut your cover strips at the tops on the forearms, you may find these catch and cause armor bites Belt is covering half the bottom button, should be just under Ideally there should be no large tab on the back of the shoulder straps Your ab button paint is a little larger, you could also trim the smaller plate a little more There should be ideally be a small amount of plastic on the end of the belt next to the cover button, bit hard to fix that one For screen accuracy the cod rivet should be brass You have a couple of bits of paint that is just on the gum, also a little wobbly in spots Vocoder paint is normally a little higher on the second steps Looks like you may have some weathering on your T tracks, as these were plastic there shouldn't be any weathering, same for the grip ATA TD's are very small, you could increase the size of the pipe if you could find some bigger end plates for closer screen accuarcy Could you also provide the following images: Both insides connectors thigh ammo strip rivets Close up side ab/kidney rivets Front sniper plate Left side connector thigh ammo strip rivet Once again the above are just suggestions before the DO's get to work Good luck with approval -

Correct, you will find many of the templates are an approximate size, always best to go with the visual references, nice work -
Requesting EIB but can't suit up due to surgery
gmrhodes13 replied to cuthbja's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Sorry to hear you underwent some surergy, as someone who has been having his fair share I know what that is like. Just looking through your previous application there was quite a few dressing issues so I would think a full kit up would be needed to see that these have been addressed, but that is a Deployment Officer decission. Previous application can be found here -
The BigJasoni's ROTK 3D Print Build Thread

I would suggest chatting with your GML (garrison membership liaison) it is ultimately him/her that will be approving your costume. I don't have a R1 myself and only been looking at some details and comparing so I'm no expert, as Andrew said Jeff is your best one for an opinion -
No original trilogy Stormtroopers wear pauldrons, it's only Sandtroopers that do. You can (with your garrisons approval) wear a pauldron at non cannon events, many troopers do. An oldie but a goodie

Hello and welcome aboard, looking forward to seeing your build, good luck

Nice to hear you've been doing your research, many don't unfortunately. When in doubt ask or check the Gallery sections, lots of great references there. Looking forward to seeing the progress, good luck
