Looks the business

Looking forward to seeing your BBB photos Good luck with the build.

Great decision. ATA is a little thicker than most, I find a dremel really handy for trimming. Here is a great helmet tutorial to study for when it arrives. Last I heard ATA was waiting for a shipment of ABS so hopefully the wait isn't too long. Looking forward to seeing some BBB photos in the not too distant future

Nice work, a few tweaks and you should be good to go

2 of my concerns when applying any type of coating is one any color bleed as this has happened to some in the past and the other is build up of sweat, it's amazing how much liquid you can find in armor pieces after a really hot troop. Nice work getting that coating off. What ever you fix on one side best to do the same on the other. I find RS also suffers from a lot of stress cracking, going over the armor and slightly bending in places that you would normally move is a good way of testing for any pre cracking.

Rogue Kenobi's ANH TK (stunt) RS Props Build
gmrhodes13 replied to Brevon Solla's topic in ANH Build Threads
Really depends what fans you have, what power used and placement, I only use one at a time as I find it's enough and I have no issues with hearing, I actually did fit a hearing assist system but found it picked up too much background noise at large events so I ended up taking it out. -

Hello there... from Fort Collins, CO
gmrhodes13 replied to Brevon Solla's topic in New Member Introductions
Hello and welcome aboard, RS is molded from an original set of armor so is accurate in size and dimension. The average size of the actors in ANH was between 5'9" - 6 foot tall A great resource thread can be found here Good luck with the research and hope to see a build thread from you soon. -
Once you start strapping things will hold in place better, the shoulder bells look a little big in the front photo but if you check the back photo you have quite a lot of black showing, strapping should bring this in. If you do need to trim the bells the originals had a slight curve to them. A few references for sizing.

My first ANH TK Build-Assistance Welcome! (ATA)
gmrhodes13 replied to Phat Rob's topic in ANH Build Threads
Just make sure the fall of your tube stripes are from the top falling forward. Notice they shouldn't go over the crease line You may also want to look at the spacing of your stripes in the traps, the are a spaced a little differently -
Short trooper - thigh armour mobility modification

The only issue with trimming down the shins is you then bring the thigh down over the knee which could interfere with the knee bending. -
Short trooper - thigh armour mobility modification
gmrhodes13 replied to TrickyT81's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
You may be able to bring your ab/cod up a bit, if you compare Luke and the gap between his chest and ab plate and yours. If not you should be able to trim the tops of thighs without much issue, although I would let the DO's comment whether they would be acceptable for higher level clearance as to shape/return edge, @justjoseph63, @TKSpartan, @Chemi Here's a couple of shorter trooper builds, from memory I think most have higher clearance, could be some reference material for you as to what they modified https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38416-crickets-rs-stunt-build-for-the-vertically-challenged/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38842-fragarocks-rs-stunt-build-not-to-scale/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42868-sha-shas-wtf-anh-stunt-build-complete/ -

I don't know, I'm just pointing out the differences, whether they are included or not is up to yourself and the membership. I agree -

A little feedback ANH Stunt sniper knee plate

Getting close, nice work

That's quite a fastidious approach but if it works for you go for it

I'm a bit wary of buying off ebay, without hands on its hard to see any hidden issues like cracking or yellowing, personally I would just purchase new from from RS, start from fresh and know exactly what you have. There could also be an issue of the color not matching armor, they can yellow over time and even RS comment the plastics from one year can be a different shad to other years.
-
Nice work. Could you also add a sniper plate image from the front, I'm sure the DO's will like one of those. When taking your photos just be aware of positioning of pieces, hard to do while wearing, having a mirror close by can help. Shoulder straps could come down a little at the back. Also your belt hoops are not quite straight. And drop box not quite aligned with end of the belt Good luck with approval

A lot of work adding electronics into blasters not made for them, looks like you are winning the fight, nice work

Looks like you have a few more issues with your helmet. Top trap decal not positioned correctly, too high and side gap, also cheek trap a little off angle Rear trap decal lifting and looks to have a large air bubble, or it may be the photo Brow trim should be cut straight or a slight angle Fall of tube stripes should be from top forward (a bit hard to see in your images), also a pencil width from cheeks, brow trim appears to be dipping in the center. Rim of mic tips should be white Also vocoder sides could match Paint should not be on gums Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. Ear paint reference Bottom ear screw doesn't look correct, not sure if it's painted either, hard to make out in image Thigh ammo strip too long Belt overhang could be trimmed. Shoulder straps are a little long, could trim off large tab. Back plate overlapping kidney Detonator too long Thigh cover strips should be straight, no gap in center of lower ridge also Holster mounted too far back Drop box elastic a little too long. Add some foam behind sniper knee plate to hold it away from thigh, at the moment it appears under the thigh Large ab plate looks to be on an angle Brow trim height is normally a little higher, the low brow is more a Hero look Shoulder bells could be brought in more towards the shoulder straps Looks like you have writing on the back of your undersuit which will have to be covered/removed or blackened Photos are a little grainy, there may be other items bit a little hard to make out, I'm viewing on phone as computer is having a meltdown, make sure you take high resolution images in a well lit area. A bit of a list but nothing too hard to rectify, good luck
