  1. That's what it looks like to me. Where did you find the picture?
  2. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm trying out some of my "skills" (using the term rather loosely) on a Hasbro E-11 to get used to the cans.
  3. I work in retail, so I have a uniform polo. It's gray, not a bad color, I've had much worse. Black pants, black sneakers.
  4. I'm also budget conscious. So, I had a long time favorite, Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. I had to work today, and we have no microwave or anything like that so my options are limited.
  5. I really want to start on mine, but I'm a bit intimidated. Do you think it's possible to do it without painting? That is really my biggest weak point.
  6. The people on this board probably know more about TKs than the people at LFL. You think TKs are complex, you should check out the clone forums. Wow! It's like starting fresh all over again.
  7. The price isn't bad for an FX kit, however depending on your size you might want to look into one of the others. The price isn't that much more. However, if you do go with this, I would recommend changing out the helmet.
  8. They look okey to me, a little on the big side but not bad. Compare it here.. We have several makers of tube stripes here on the board, Scott M. has posted about making them before. I'd contact him, plus I believe a few others make them and sell on the 'bay.
  9. Impressive website setup, even more impressive collection. If only you could charge admission and create your own traveling showcase.
  10. I've always liked the straight, level and low look on the brow trim.
  11. It's worth it because it's a good bucket at a good price. The mods can be pretty simple or a complete tear down, there is a lot that can be done with it. Plus with your skills I think you could make one look amazing.
  12. Seems like you are about the same size as me. I have FX right now, and it fits good with only minor shims and adjustments. I'm looking to RT for my next suit, when the time comes.
  13. I did the $20 batting helmet. Works good, easy to pull out and install, nice and comfy with room to spare.
  14. A good piece of advice I found is to take a piece of cardboard, place it against your chest where your ab plate would sit and bend over. The cardboard should bend at the point where your body naturally bends, and thats where you want to cut. Also make sure the cut falls under your belt. There are several threads on here about the cod piece cut and a variety of ways to do it, do a search and see what looks the best for you.
  15. Well said, clear and to the point. I know the rules on not posting "want to buy" was difficult for me at first, and has been confusing for some people. This kind of helps clear that up a little, and gives some people wanting to go white an idea of what to expect.
  16. Cool idea for a showpiece. Just hope it doesn't get in your way while wearing.
  17. I'd say $1000, while being on the high side for an FX, is about right for a TK. Especially if it's your first time with anything on this level. But, it's only a small amount more to get into any of the other kits that are more accurate.
  18. Terrible, absolutely terrible. I think you need to send it to me for proper disposal Very sweet ride.
  19. That's too funny! Add an FISD logo and you would have 100's of orders, I'm sure of it. Great work!
  20. Its an old fashioned saying, but it's true "You get what you pay for". If the price is so low and it looks to good to be true, it probably is.
  21. I would love to do a clone, but those kits look like seriously difficult. I've got to build up my skills first. Maybe I'll wait until someone makes one of those Recon Scouts from the new movie.
  22. 5990 5 = May 99 = 1999 0 = Space filler May, 1999 was when I met my wife and our first date. Yes, our first real date was at the TPM premiere.
  23. All the more reason to not buy from Rubies.
