  1. I´m talking about you when mentioning the illegel bootlegger. What should keep one of his friends from ordering a suit (or just asking old friends who might have ordered), then transmit your contact to Disney? Stepping on peoples toes as you did - Many people don´t like those redneck behaviour, no matter if he is guilty of the accused or not. With every sold armour you have now to be afraid to see your infos delivered to Disney. And in my eyes you too deserve that.
  2. Well, when a illegal bootlegger is going for such actions he shouldn´t wonder if someone isn´t pleased about it. If i were the accused, and i would have your contact info (if he bought your armor to copy it he will probably have it) ..... my next step would be to do whatever i can to put Disneys hounds on your "business".
  3. Or they just thought it wasn´t worth the hassle to be part in a witchhunt, just to bring some armor to the troopers.
  4. I wonder if that will still be true after R1? Or if the known Bothan spies will have to be replaced with human spies, when/if these new group gets and delivers the plans.
  5. No, it isn´t. No kit is. You can buy any expensive and accurate kit, if you build it not good enough ..... no approval. Buy another kit (or the same) and build it good ...... you can be approved.
  6. All your posting how accurate yours is ..... is no proof that it is more accurate. Without proof how you made accurate measurements of that shape, your statement is not worth anything.
  7. Well, you would say alot to sell your stuff - well fitting to the EFX team. Having seen things does not say your REPLICATION is better than another - or is your next argument they gifted you a piece frm a saber, blaster, whatever ..... that you handed to the extruding company, to enable them to make the dies for extruding? Having seen them, measured it (how did you do that to ensure measurement of that shape is completly accurate) is not neccessary better than when a professional works from pics. As usual a lot of hot air to muddy the water and impress the new and/or naives, but no proof.
  8. We never had more than your word for that - and your word is no good for many of us. Give us a believable proof where your stuff is better than Roys. That you never did speaks for itself.
  9. Accurate, but completely overpriced - Gino As accurate as Ginos but a way better price - Roy (http://wannawanga.com/shop/) Not completly as accurate as the 2 above, but still very nice and priced for budget builds - Marv Additional Todds costume (http://www.toddscostumes.com/costume-supplies/star-wars-prop-builders-supplies/) has some, but theirs i never have seen in real.
  10. I hope people are kind enough not to comment about anything costume related while the owner can hear them. Even i, and i REALLY dislike the bumps, am nice enough not to do so - not as long as we can be heard by the costumer.
  11. Me neither. But have a look at the black insert - it´s way more shiny than any of my Graflexes AND where the small hole inside is visible, there should be a big hole for a lightbulb going close to the opposite wall. And the little brass contact are like brand new. Also the red button seems to shiny, same for the glass eye. Clamp looks legit, the 2 body parts are maybe real. The missing rod/rivet/screw of the bunny ears would be a great help, it´s missing is not the best sign. Screw would be a clear sign for a replica, taking it out muddies the water. My guess would be parts of a vintage Graflex combined with replica parts to look like the real deal.
  12. Äh, no. One has no welded barrel, but it´s a old deac, old spec. The other barrels were welded in, so no change for a working one without criminal energy (each deac can be brought back into working condition with enough work, most of the time it´s just way easier to get a illegal gun from the black market - at least if you know where to search). These others not only have the deac certificate, they also were stamped by the governments controlling bureau (so called BKA Raute). I´m thinking to have the old ones barrel welded in, too. There should be no more trigger action. As the trigger mechanism is welded inside, it´s only the remaining loose play of the trigger and the parts inside that´s "working". Maybe half movement of a full working, not the real action between trigger and bolt. There is nowhere said the bolt has to be welded static, here in Germany. (Not checked the changes for now coming deacs due to the new law.)
  13. I still have a Anigrand SD on storage ...... if it wouldn´t be way to big (and my hangar dio is already to big to have it displayed) i would shameless steal your idea.
  14. I see nothing wrong with that - times are changing, go with or go under.
  15. Cool, the old Ertl kit has never been that nice looking.
  16. Which brings it back to the first part of my post. If owning a piece is all what´s needed (at least in UK the design is free for everyone due to being a "industrial design" iirr) to be OK to make copies and sell them ..... then everyone who buys a armor in UK can make as much copies and sell them for profit. As noone can claim the design for himself.
  17. Hmm, ethics ....... i wonder if LFL ever gave permission to make direct copies of the suits they made for the films. Using the design to make own stuff is one thing, pulling copies another. What leads me to - how got those suits, which are now in private hands, into private hands? Is there any proof they were sold by LFL (or given away)? Or did they just vanished from set or storage, to later pop up and being sold?
  18. I accept if someone pays the prices for it´s collection. If it is bought to make money it´s wrong. If someone wants to make money he should use his own skill to create the masters, not copying. I´ve not seen anything at propmaking i would consider hard (making stuff to sell, the time pressure when getting something done for filming is something different), not the mechanical production part. Making a design that fits to the story seems hard to me.
