I leave my shoulder bells connected to the upper torso setup, which I put on in one piece , then my arms are free to place my biceps and then forearms .
I have my forearms free because they come off first to enable me to get my lid off easily .

Yeh, why not talk to them before attacking them on the Internet .
It looks like you will have to have the top of the thighs trimmed , this will lose the return edge unfortunately . Also the bottom of the shins can be trimmed upwards .
There's only so much can be done and retain screen accuracy . It's a compromise I'm afraid .
-
Sorry I missed you . The thighs are difficult to adjust ... They are a fixed length and that's it . The rear lips of the thigh and calf can be cut away ...check screen caps.
Raising your leg to get up a six inch step is something many short troopers have trouble with .
I'm sure you will overcome this with careful trimming , remember to check screen accuracy before cutting . There are loads of photos in the files on this site .

Yes. A balaclava is required for UKG trooping . There is no " basic" approval over here , it's E.I level . And rightly so . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

More confusion ..on my part . The BikerScout Project is a charity group set up with Disney/ lucasfilm to produce 45 custom biker scout helmets for display and auction at Celebration in London this June . All proceeds are to the make a wish foundation charity .RS are sponsoring the project by donating 50 BikerScout helmets , and taking part in the builds . The deadline for helmets is now , and on Saturday several helmets will be being collected from RS studio for transport to London / Disney . Everyone should hunt out and " like" the biker scout project on Facebook . Also, many helmets are to be revealed over the next week . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I didn't think any of the screen used blasters had the metal prongs ? I may be wrong . I never got them on mine .

No no .... I'm just a customer ! The Rob you have been mailing is the boss there ( the R in RS ) not me .
Saturday mornings there are usually a few employees working ( depends on workload) and Rob the boss and Si the other boss will be in , plus myself and a few mates / customers / biker scout helmet contributors .
Saturday is better for chatting , as people are more relaxed and the bosses aren't cracking the whip, over the employees quite so hard !!!!
Plus you get a free factory tour !!! And you never know, the vac former might be working ...a fabulous sight .

You should be wearing a balaclava anyway , isn't it part of your garrisons rules ?
-
There will be a few of us there on Saturday morning ( troopers that is ) but not many staff . Friday you will get to meet all the workers .

Not a bad choice to have to make !
Saturday you will get sneak advanced previews of several biker scout helmet member helmets.

Where to Buy First Order TK Armour In The UK?
Rob .T . replied to darthaldernu's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
You can join the UKG forum as a public member , you just will have restricted access until you become a full member with a cleared costume . Public access gives you enough access to ask general questions. -
Where to Buy First Order TK Armour In The UK?
Rob .T . replied to darthaldernu's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Why not register at the UKG website forum and ask the question there ? Although, I don't think anyone makes it in the uk yet . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Lumps and bumps on (i.e) RS helmets
Rob .T . replied to humperdingle's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Never .
Like it or not , most of the public just see a person in white plastic armour . They have no idea weather we wear FX or RS .
Good quality screen accurate armour is for your own pride and accomplishment . Wear it and know it's right .
Another point is that from more than a couple of inches away , the screen accurate bumps aren't noticeable anyway . -
The U.K. G will have a table there that will be manned most of the time ( I think , not finalised yet ) also there will be tables from other costuming groups . The "biker scout helmet project " charity build group will have a display , and most of the people manning that display will be ukg members . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Ab/kidney Plate Reshape help
Rob .T . replied to ComradeDave's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Like everyone has told you , if you trim the return edge down to screen accurate , it will allow front and rear to bend far easier , and the belt will pull it around you and shape it to your body . It's the return edge that is keeping your armour solid and inflexible . -
There will be many 501st members at celebration , from all corners of the globe . The UKG will be there in force . Having whet your appetite, I'm afraid to have to let you down , as all the meet ups and in event events are only accessible from the members only areas of the relevant web sites . Remember Kev , real stirlings are a no no for public events , the U.K. Garrison sensibly doesn't allow them . Great for the display cabinet however .

Cheap helmet Decals
Rob .T . replied to The Anonymous Egyptian's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Surely the decals come with the helmet ?
Every manufacturer of helmet has slightly different shapes where the decals fit , so one set won't fit every helmet .
Only empire strikes back helmets had decals , a new hope we're fully hand painted . -
RS do a new run of screen accurate helmets , not sure if they do the armour , but probably do.

ANOVOS build question - rear leg trimming
Rob .T . replied to BadBatch's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
If you are planning this cut , I would suggest checking the screen grabs from Star Wars , and checking out how they did it for the screen used armour , that way , if you copy the screen used costumes, there can be no issues with clearance at any level .
If in doubt ...check the movie ! -
Or simply give RS a call , they'll post a full fitting kit out to you . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Making Latex Handguards
Rob .T . replied to TK 22686's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Ok, then we'll have to agree to differ then . My educated opinion is that Anavos recast RS Propmasters suit , or they reworked every aspect to exactly imitate the RS suit for some reason . -

And that's the official 501st stance on Anavos Ot armour now is it ?
If so, that's fine , delete my comments from this thread and we'll move along . -

And the forearms ? Ab buttons ? Shins ? And this original suit belongs to ? This is old ground . We don't need to go over it again . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
