  2. For some reason this photo doesn't seem to have uploaded ...try two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Ok, after a delay, my good buddy Paul allowed me access to his workshop for some kitted up, socially distanced photos . Thanks Paul . We're in full lockdown again here in the UK so getting new photos has been a bit of a faf. Since my EI applications, I've completely renewed my elastics and I think it has made a huge improvement to comfort and fit . Me trying to look hopeful ....and in glasses to see the photos as Paul took them . And helmeted . Arms up .... And in action Detail shots to follow . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. link to my e.i.b. Thread Rob Taylor , Rob.T. Forum name . TK 42057 United Kingdom Garrison height 5 ft10 weight 79 kilos armour RS Propmasters helmet RS Propmasters blaster RS Propmasters boots I.B aplication for Centurian
  5. Although my armour is a fair few years old, and has been trooped endlessly , I was inspired to apply for " expert infantryman" status by the march to 100 campaign recently . So I thought it only right to support the Centurian march to 500 . Im going to go over to tapatalk now, so that I can upload the requested photos and details. Thanks guys.
  6. They aren't Newey snaps , those haven't been made for decades . Why not just get in touch with RS and ask for a couple of new snaps ? Although to be honest, modifying the crotch strap won't help your problem at all , it really doesn't do anything .
  7. I notice you are using rubber gloves . I thought that fabric ( silk like ) gloves were worn in e.s.b. And that the hand plates had fake stitching on them . But i may be wrong .
  8. RS props use super glue to build their armour ( c.a. Glue) sand the glue areas down with medium sandpaper until smooth and re glue using whatever you prefer . But for speed use super glue .
  9. Use tapatalk for updating your build diary uploading photos , it does all the hard work for you . Use your usual browser to read the forums .
  10. I'm 5 ft 9 1/2 and have, over the years met most of the surviving actors who were stormtrooper s in the original movie . Non were shorter than me , but again non were much taller .
  11. Well done trooper . One nearer the 1000 and a great set of armour .
  12. Thanks for everyone's help and advice . I'm proud to support the legion and glad of the support of fellow members . I will go for centurion , and ive got quite a tick list of upgrades for that . This has been a great experience , again thanks to all who helped . I was mainly spurred on to go for E.I. By the march to 1000 , and I'm glad I've managed to get in to help get closer to that figure .
  13. Cheers Firedog , here's a second photo of the snap as it had a bit of residual paint on it, which I've scraped off . Also ...my sniper plate which I keep forgetting to post close up photos of . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. i haven't painted the right hand single snap as I seem to remember it's not painted on the original suits .is that correct or does it need paint also ?
  15. There's a few photos I missed out . And looking at my armour to take these photos proved that I needed a bit of paint touching up ! First the six rivets down the left side of the body . As you can see...plenty worn away paint , so after a little touch up .... Next was the knee rivets, again they needed new paint . And the insides also And finally a photo of the snap under the right arm . I think that's my photos done...sorry for the delays guys ! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. How am I doing guys ? Anything else I need to do ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Next those gnashers . I've scraped off the edge paint , and touched it up . What do you think ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. That pesky chip gmrhodes noticed , and to be honest it's always bugged me . So a tiny dab of white filler and hay presto . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. That TD issue . I've re drilled the holes and re positioned the ally brackets . I've filled the old holes with silver two part epoxy . When sat in the " on the belt" position the old holes are invisible . The photos above were taken outside in strong sunlight . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Next is the TD . I've taken it to pieces and painted the screw heads satin black enamel . Tomorrow I'll attack the alloy brackets . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Next that dMn butt plate . My thigh suspenders have two poppers , Ive dropped them to the second popper . This lowers the thighs a tad , and gives more clearance . When trooping I always use the lower popper , but I thought for the photos I'd use the higher one ...doh . The other problem was that the elastic holding the butt to the backplate had lost its elasticity due to age and fatigue . Replacing the elastic holds everything in a better position . Sorry about the mirror photos , I was home alone . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
