  1. When building an RS helmet, always always start with the left side . Line the eye up with the forehead trap, and make the first hole . Use an ear nut n bolt to secure it , then work round to the right side . Don't fit the rivets until you are happy with the fit .
  2. I've just been reviewing my photos . I couldn't see a request for these two, but I thought you would need them . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  14. Ok, after a delay, my good buddy Paul allowed me access to his workshop for some kitted up, socially distanced photos . Thanks Paul . We're in full lockdown again here in the UK so getting new photos has been a bit of a faf. Since my EI applications, I've completely renewed my elastics and I think it has made a huge improvement to comfort and fit . Me trying to look hopeful ....and in glasses to see the photos as Paul took them . And helmeted . Arms up .... And in action Detail shots to follow . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. Although my armour is a fair few years old, and has been trooped endlessly , I was inspired to apply for " expert infantryman" status by the march to 100 campaign recently . So I thought it only right to support the Centurian march to 500 . Im going to go over to tapatalk now, so that I can upload the requested photos and details. Thanks guys.
  17. They aren't Newey snaps , those haven't been made for decades . Why not just get in touch with RS and ask for a couple of new snaps ? Although to be honest, modifying the crotch strap won't help your problem at all , it really doesn't do anything .
  18. I notice you are using rubber gloves . I thought that fabric ( silk like ) gloves were worn in e.s.b. And that the hand plates had fake stitching on them . But i may be wrong .
  19. RS props use super glue to build their armour ( c.a. Glue) sand the glue areas down with medium sandpaper until smooth and re glue using whatever you prefer . But for speed use super glue .
  20. Use tapatalk for updating your build diary uploading photos , it does all the hard work for you . Use your usual browser to read the forums .
  21. I'm 5 ft 9 1/2 and have, over the years met most of the surviving actors who were stormtrooper s in the original movie . Non were shorter than me , but again non were much taller .
  22. Well done trooper . One nearer the 1000 and a great set of armour .
  23. Thanks for everyone's help and advice . I'm proud to support the legion and glad of the support of fellow members . I will go for centurion , and ive got quite a tick list of upgrades for that . This has been a great experience , again thanks to all who helped . I was mainly spurred on to go for E.I. By the march to 1000 , and I'm glad I've managed to get in to help get closer to that figure .
  24. Cheers Firedog , here's a second photo of the snap as it had a bit of residual paint on it, which I've scraped off . Also ...my sniper plate which I keep forgetting to post close up photos of . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. i haven't painted the right hand single snap as I seem to remember it's not painted on the original suits .is that correct or does it need paint also ?
