1. RS are taking Brian Muirs work, and with his approval, copying it for authenticity so sake . Then they give full credit to Brian on their website and all advertising literature . Hardly recasting . They have also had approval and permission from Liz Moores son for their helmets , who again they credit on the website and in print . Hardly recasting .
Your one man crusade against RS is tiresome .
2. I built my RS Propmasters armor in five evenings , 3-5 hours an evening , I used superglue for speed , e6000 is a pointless pain . Just get stuck in !!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
3. RS have just moved to new premises , and have permanent office staff now , 2016 should sort all their communication problems.
Also remember, they are a small company working twelve hour days to keep on top of orders , not a multinational corporation with a call center .
4. Back in the day , everyone seemed to think mouth mesh was good .... I suppose on oversized FX helmets it helped hide the wearer . But these days we know it was never used in the movies , so it seems a bit of a pointless addition . I'm pretty sure at one stage it was required for garrison admission but not now ???
Maybe an armorer can shout up and clear up the question of mesh ...acceptable in 2016 or not ??
5. It seems to me that the huge rush to order and pay for the Anavos armour is dumbing down our hobby tremendously . We have spent the last few years with screen accurate armour available ( ss skunky, RS Propmasters ) and we are rushing lemming like into non screen accurate tat , mainly because of the cheap price . Anavos is setting our hobby back years , we might as well all dig out our ancient FX suits and give up on screen accurate all together . This forum is better than Anavos. 6. Excellent price, was it cut or just internally welded ? Might I ask where you got it , do they have more ?
7. Really ? This isn't going to end well . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
8. This only applies if you are in the uk I suppose .... But as you've had it a year , and have had time to save up a little since buying it , why not post it back to them and ask them to build it for you ? They have a nice young lady who works full time making helmets, I'm. Sure they could fit it into their hectic schedule . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
9. RS build suits every day of the week , they know what they are doing . But if you feel adventurous , and are willing to do research here on this very forum , it's not so hard to build your own .
And , as I said in another thread, RS have a free shipping offer on for orders placed over the holiday period ( Christmas 2015 )
I built my arm or in five evenings , flushing to get it finished for an event , however I had a built helmet with my kit .
10. First you need to tell us which country you live in . FO armour is rare at the moment .
11. Also, remember that RS have free worldwide shipping over the 2015 holiday period .
12.

This is me in RS , 80 kilos, 5 ft 9 .
13. I was talking to the guys at RS the other week and they mentioned they had just done a run of 15 suits for a new start up garrison in Asia , I can't remember where , Malaysia maybe , and they had experienced NO fitting problems . Plus, with RS you get screen accurate , and if you go for the full kit, you get belt, gun, boots,.... Nothing else to buy / source .
14. The chances of anyone noticing the stain is small , don't risk damaging the gloves, live with it .
15. I was under the impression that the pins were removed from the movie props ? If so, why are people worrying about making them ?
16. As RS Propmasters are a " proper " company , they are at work every day , so a phone call is all that is needed . They are at the workshop every weekday . They have an excellent customer service reputation , and are only a phone call away at any time ...who could wish for more ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
17. Sory GeordieTrooper ..youve lost me , I thought you meant the stitching around the top of the sole ...what do you mean ?
18. Discount supermarket " Aldi " have chelsea boots in at the moment , at £ 14.99. (as of 11/11/2011) Theyre in black or brown , all adult sizes. They are a little broad in the toe area to be good Starwars replicas , but theyre cheap and available and better than the ones you cant buy Usually Aldi only keep a product on their shelves untill stock rums out , a couple of weeks at the most , so if you want a pair , be quick. Lets face it , at £14.99 theyre cheap enough just to practice painting white . -------
19. Fantastic suit , one day I hope to own one of these creations, untill I do Ill just have to drool over the TM suits that are featured here . Well done.
20. Does no one here recognise 1980s carpet underlay ? Thats what the shoulder straps in the photo posted in this thread are made of .
21. I wonder how far we will go for authenticity ? Im a size 9 , but Im not having plastic surgery on my feet just for these boots ...
22. Unaltered DVD ??????????? You have a DVD ccopy of the original theatrical release ? .. If it hads the words "a hew hope " on the title scroll , you dont .
23. Happy birthday matey , great to see other Troopers in their "more experienced" decade ... Are we the only two ?
