  1. That looks outstanding!!!
  2. Same here welcome back to the fold!
  3. Charging $2 for shipping on a pair of gloves is right at perfect. Nomex gloves are a little heavier than what you have and it costs me around $1.50 plus an envelope to mail them to a destination in the USA.
  4. Perfectly executed! Well done!
  5. You should get an interest list going and go clean them out if enuff people respond.
  6. I would say that everything you have done has been a big improvement! Good Job!
  7. Sick is the term used when " good" just isnt good enuff to describe it
  8. Rock on Billy Boy!!!!
  9. I highly recommend Scott's chrome tube stripes to accect those lens. They look absolutely sick together!
  10. Depending on the impedance rating of the microphone its should be just a simple coaxial cut and splice. Cut the mic of the end of the respirator amp wire, then cut the plug off the end of the headset mic wire. Then splice the headset wire to the amp wire. If the impedance of the two match ($5 says it will) its should work like a charm.
  11. Did you say Barbecue? If the headset wears comfortably under your helmet I wouldn't mess with a wireless rig at all. Less components to fail and less batteries to deal with.
  12. Gorilla glue or a strong 2 part epoxy are my personal favorites. Super glue has no flex to it and will fracture alot easier than a glue that dries with more elasticity such as gorilla glue.
  13. If youre going with a headset, I would not use the wireless kit. The wireless kit is good when you have the electronics mounted in your helmet, but if you use a headset it would be just as simple to have the wire ran inside of the neckseal. Just my 2 cents
  14. Heck, host a GA garrison get together and I'll show up with my tools.
  15. I have got one too but I havent done anything with it. I'm still running the Wal mart toy in my rig but i want to swap that out since this unit has a volume control.
  16. Is there an output jack on the receiver? And if so let me get a pic of that. You may need to sync the frequencies of the receiver and transmitter. There should be either a switch or a potentiometer adjustment for that which will look like a small screw adjustment knob on the transmitter or receiver.
  17. Good to see you around again Nate. Still waiting on those darned blast doors to open!
  18. Good Job Terrell!
  19. Mine is mounted behind the chest plate with the speaker facing into my chest.
  20. I am currently using the Wal mart voice changer and it works well, in some setups you can experience feedback issues. A better option is the SCOTT repirator voice amp found on Ebay for $10 because it has a volume control which can be used to eliminate the feedback quite easily if you encounter it.
  21. Ive been wanting to build one of those myself. Looks great Alex!
  22. My kidney plate is scratched all to hell from my TD clips, but he belt covers the scratches so I'm good with it.
  23. Theres a thread on relevance of members ID number. Mines TK-2052 20 = T 5 =E 2 = 2 What can I say, Im a TE2 fanboy!
  24. The $10 unit that goes in the SCOTT respirators are an excellent choice (Another kudo to Dan S. for locating those) much better than the WalMart rig. And all the choices seem like a better route than the kids toy in question.
  25. Glue in the front Velcro in the back *applicable to thighs and shins everything else is slip on.
