Oh trust me you will be using some filler. I really wish I had the facilities to weld aluminum. I could have prolly dropped the weight of my scratchbuilds to under 3 pounds. Even with dang near all steel greeblies my scratchbuilds weighed about 4 pounds.

I welded my maghousings together so the little fold and tuck tabs on the template were not used in my case. There are 2 different templates for the mags and also for the folding stock. My recommendation is to see what template works best for you. If you want to save alot of time drop Stomper a line and get one of his maghousing/mag cast parts. They are simply peautiful pieces. I just installed one on my modded hasbro today. Keep us posted!

I linked to a ebay auction so you can see what wireless kit I got on ebay. Its the same as the Bolun kit but provided by a USA distributor so I dont have to wait a virtual eternity while it ships from Hong Kong.

I just ordered one of these and I got a wireless kit to go with it. I'll post up a tutorial in here on how to combine the two when they arrive so everybody can have a shot at making thiers wireless. -----------

All the belts posted have a hem along the top and bottom edge. I wouldnt think that they would hem leather.

It shouldnt crack. Youll prolly end up repainting the helmet too because I doubt you will find a perfect color match for the AP ABS. My recommendation is Rustoleum High Performance Enamel Gloss White. Good Luck!

The Campus prolly wont have any issues with the costumes but you should check with the University and additionally in light of events in recent years, blasters are most likely uninvited on campus.

Your undersuit shouldnt be supporting any weight at all. I use separate piece top and bottom cotton spandex blend. Nothing attaches to the under suit at all. I think I have about $30 wrapped up in my undersuit.

Scotts chrome tube stripes really set a TX helmet on the loose! Looks great man! What are you gonna use for the mirror lens? I found some great stuff that will do a set of lens for $25. I posted the link in a thread around here somewhere. --------

Nope those are mariachi boots. Not good enuff for the 501st. Cheapest acceptable TK boots you can find is CABoots.

Go with Stompers for the win! Keith's are very nice too, if not the best. I have a set of Keith's on my TE2 and they are str8 pimpin! Ive used Stompers tips on a couple of helmets too. Both are splended hovis!

I got my canvas belt from Gundamzeppelin and I have had no support problems with it at all. I could walk around with a scratch built blaster that weighed 4 pounds in mine all day long with now worries. My belt fastens in the back with velcro that GZ sewed onto the belt before it was shipped it. It holds together very well. Give him a shout out.

Star Fortress is total crap. Its a poorly done recast of a Don Post anyway. Avoid at all costs. Track down either the legitimate Don Post or get one of those beautiful kits offered by Dan Laws.

Here's one more color for ya. It what I used for my TX helmets. Several colors, I went with Silver. Pretty cheap. Only problem with these is that they are tempered or something because you cant heat them up enuff to do bubbles without damaging them. -----

The coolest rig ever was on my GF when it arrived but I changed it to rejoin it with the ab plate. I will change it back the next time I get the wild hair. The cod piece was attached to the belt. You just took your belt of and it was free willy time.
