Cease and Desist Letter (If needed, a translation copy of this document can be sent in Huttese) Dear Mr. Set for Stun We are the proprietors of all copyright in a literary/artistic/musical work entitled "the one who took down the Rebel leader Princess Leia Organa-Skywalker-Solo". That is unfortunate and sad that the Doctors cannot do any surgical procedure to remove Devan's brain tumor And very cool of the members of the Bloodfin, Midsouth, and the Ohio Garrisons' to do that for him. I will keep Devan and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Is this Matt-TE-thank you if so
RogueTrooper replied to tk7713gra30's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Matt Gauthier. There is probably not anymore that I can say about him that hasn't already been said here before, that wouldn't be redundant. I think when it comes to Matt, it is a very sad tale that someone could become so self important over some plastic. He has actually cut his own throat by doing the things that he has done to the community that has supported him. I think in his own mind he is God like. Since he was allowed to go to Lucas archives and was allowed to hold and view the original props, this somehow made him feel as though he is better than the averge person. Also, he felt that since he had moulds that came off of original props, that he was superior to everyone else. Taking all this into consideration, he got quite the "big head" and felt that he could do no wrong. On a side bar, I know that someone would say this is speculation, but just watching his video, gives the impression that the man has some problems/issues other than just pretentious delusions of grandeur(and I am not talking about his bi-polar illness). He speculated that he had done an average of 30 suits a month over a 10 year period = 3600 suits (if each suit sold for $700.00 USD, not counting S & H). Anyone can do the math. That equals $2,520,000.00 USD......this is over and above his real job salary. Now if you look at his house in the video, it does not appear to be a mansion, but a very modest , older home. Since he works out of his kitchen and does not appear to have a shop that he rents or invested money to build, but to quote him a "ghettofied" way of making suits, where then did all this money go, if you get my drift. No you don't have to have elaborate equipment to thermoform, but if you strive to do better then you are looking to invest and upgrade your equipment and methods of operating. Also, if you are buying product that is color tone matched and authentic to the original props that can cost you more (special order), but a lot of what Matt was doing was in HIPS, which is relatively inexpensive. I am no cheerleader for this man. He burned me, as well, a couple of years back, and believe me, the scar does not heal. I did get my money back from him and got him in some legal trouble. On a high note about Matt, he did provide some information that has helped us to go forward with more accurate props. But that is about all I can say nice about him. There is a Latin term "caveat emptor" or buyer beware. We will all do well to keep this in mind when dealing with wolves dressed in sheeps clothing. -
I would go up to a finer grit sandpaper. It will give you a smoother surface for the primer. My advice is to work yourself up to 400 to 600 grit. You may even want to look into wet or dry sandpaper (It can be purchased at automotive stores, Wal-Mart and some home improvement stores). Find the dark grey primer, Rustoleum or Krylon, aerosol paint. The dark grey is much better than trying to use the typical light grey primer. With the dark grey, you wil be able to see more of the flaws because of the contrast of the tone of the dark grey primer. After priming, look at the gun out in daylight instead of under indoor/man made lighting. You will be able to see more of the flaws by taking the gun outside. For best results, wipe down the gun with a tack cloth before priming or painting it. Tack cloth can be purchased at any home improvement store or where ever paint is sold. My opinion on the actual Sterling/E11's that were used in the movies is that they had more of a satin to flat look to the black, instead of the bright glossy finish that you might see on a "Baby Grand Piano". So just look for blacks in a satin finish. Just take your time when prepping and painting. You will see a better results at the end. Little tips: Hang the gun/E11 from something instead of laying it flat when you are painting. This way you get a more even coat all the way around the gun. Follow the directions on the paint can as to weather and temperature. Temperature, moisture, etc., will affect the end result of your paint job. Work in an open, well ventilated area. If you get a paint run or make a mistake while painting, don't panic. Wait until it dries and then you can fix the oops much easier. Keep us updated and throw some pix up when you can.

AM (A.K.A. Tupperware and RT-Mod are made to accommodate the big and tall. The more acurate size armor (ATA, TE2, AP, Cap-W, TM, ect...) were made for a man (5'10" about 160LBS.) but I have seen some that are 6'1" wearing the more acurate size (but with a bit more of the black undersuit showing up between the armor parts). Also, here are some pix from RT-Mod's site. RT's armor is on the right.----------

VT is not one of the vendors from here. VT stuff, is a recast of the TE/TE2 line. I know some people on here, after buying the VT, then compared it to TE2, or AP and found that it was not the same qualty and some had regrets of purchasing the VT product. Here is a review of the VT 2010 lid: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=11918&st=0&p=147018&hl=vt%20helmet&fromsearch=1entry147018 Also, ABS80 is having a sale on his lid kits (B grade) Here is the link: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=13598&pid=164559&st=0entry164559

I thought of a small emergency medical kit, such as band aids, some type of antiseptic, and headache/pain relief tablets. You will need the headache tablets if you are wearing the bubble lenses. Ha, Ha.... When trooping (having your armor on) your vision will be obstructed when wearing your helmet. Make sure to look forward several feet (possibly 10 feet) in front of you to make sure you don’t step off of something or trip over something . But if you do make a mis-step and fall, please refer to the small medical emergency kit that was suggested above. Some type of hand and foot powder (Gold Bond) to help keep your boots and gloves dry and cool. Travel Pouch Neck Wallet, they are relatively inexpensive (starting at a couple of bucks) on the internet. One thing I would suggest is to have Zap-A-Gap and Zip Kicker in the repair kit. Since it is a industrial super glue that will instantly repair or fill in any damage done to the armor, especially when you spray it with the Zip Kicker. Maybe suggest some type of snacks (Energy or trail bars, cookies, etc.) so if someone does forget to eat before trooping, they can grab a quick snack so they won’t be trooping on an empty stomach. Especially if they are hyper or hypo glycemic. When you have this disorder it hits quickly and sometime makes you jittery and dis-oriented. .

Too short to be a stormtrooper?
RogueTrooper replied to Necron's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
You can try one of the more screen accurate size kits, like ATA, TE2, AP... but you will have to do a lot of trimming to make the armor fit her. Or may I suggest this... Shadow Scout, this way your wife still gets to have the black armor style like the Shadow Trooper, but with the Biker scout armor that will fit her better. --------------- Or maybe one of these....... Boushh,(Leia's bounty Hunter disguise in Jabba's Palace): ----------- Mara Jade (Emperor's Hand): 501st CRL ------- Imperial Officer: --------- ----------- Tie Pilot: -------- Imperial Navy trooper: -------- Deathstar gunner: -------- AT-ST driver: ------- -------- Anyone of these that I mentioned above might work better for her. My .02¢ BTW, let us know what she ends up going with... -

My ANH ATA Build[*ATA]
RogueTrooper replied to TK-4088's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I hate to put another thing on the list, but you have got a little too much material on your butt plate and back piece Return edge / tumble line. You should trim these areas back about a 3/16" to 1/4" or back to where the shadow line is. -
Basically you only quoted a part of what I said. "You never know what you are going to get when it comes to product on Ebay. 99.99% of the time, it is going to be inferior recast or someones broken/disgarded rubble of stuff." Brand new AM Full kit: $660.00 USD/ £412.GBP Brand new AM Lite kit: $512.00 USD / £319.GBP Buying a pig in a poke e.g. something off of eBay... may cost you more to rework, repair, replace, etc.... Building your own suit from beginning to end the way you want it... priceless!!! Caveat emptor! Latin for "buyer beware"

Applied for new job...at Intergalactic Headquarters
RogueTrooper replied to tigger68's topic in Off Topic
Sorry that you didn't get the position, Tiffanie. In life, there is a reason for everything. You may not see it now, but you will later. Don't get discouraged, just when you least expect it, something that is just right for you will come along and hit you.... It may even be that job in Hawaii that you wanted.
