  1. It's called a Hexagon Socket Head Cap Screw. thread width 6mm thread length 15mm Head width 9mm Style of of tool to tighten and loosen the screw with: allen wrench. Here is a pic of one of the screws from one of Sterlings MK4 9L2A3 that I own: ------------
  2. Can't wait to watch Mike... I got the popcorn and sodapop ready!! -------
  3. Actually that pic of the TK in the Lotus is not photoshopped. Here is a vid on youtube of it. There are a few pix out there that have been photoshopped together with Vader and the TK racing, and some other SW characters on motorcycles, scooters, and cars, as you can see below... As for whom the TK is or was...don't know
  4. Basically you are a good height for most of the accurate kits, ATA, AP, TM, Cap-W, TE2. The orginal screen used suits were cast off of an average size guy, 5'10" - 160 lbs. You might be able to do one of the above mentioned suits with maybe just a little more black showing. But I would contact the vendors and give them your size. They will be truthful with you. Also, most should offer the ESB setup. The ESB suits are just basically ANH with a few variations like the handplates, holster on the opposite side, some changes to the lid like stickered decals, black frown, the eyes cut out more and the blaster with different greeblies than the ANH. You can see Billys' easy diagram below: Keep us updated man.
  5. Hey David, Post some pix when you get it. Also, are you going to do a ESB TK? The new eFX - Stormtrooper Helmet Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Precision Cast Replica is going for $159.99USD out the door now, back a mounth ago I think it was at $145.00USD, and when they first came out they were going at the $120.00USD. If you don't mind me asking, did you get it at a better price than that? At C5, EFX was doing a giveaway/raffling off one ESB30thPC a day...man there was a lot of people for that. Stock photos from Elite Collectibles of the EFX Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Precision Cast Replica:
  6. Spot on Keith! please sir, may I have some more pix
  7. Great job man, you should post a vid of your e1l.
  8. Nathan (Runnriottt) calls out a SW character and the Episode number, then you post the movie line that you think Nathan is thinking of. Limit to two submissions. Nathan also ask "If you are a winner, please let others have a shot at it" Each winner gets 3 sets of free lenses. Right now the SW character and episode is: Han Solo. Episode 5. Here's the clue: "Think Han in sarcastic pain..."
  9. ATA and AP are both great kits. And should stand up for a lot of trooping. Either one of the materials has its' good and bad points. But, both materials are not really good for sitting. You will do major damage to the butt plate if you sit with it on. If you are going to sit with any armor (whether it's made from HIPS or ABS), then take the butt plate off. HIPS is easier to trim then ABS. But HIPS also will require painting to make it the right color tone of white, where AP's ABS kit does not.
  10. Use E-6000 to glue the front parts of the calf armor only, or you will not be able to get them on. Use industrial strength white velcro on the back of the calf armor. Use E-6000 on the biceps halves, forearm halves, and thigh halves to hold them together, also on the finishing strips. If you are getting an AM kit, then the way the AM armor is made ( over lapping one side to another) you don't have to have the finishing strips. But the finishing srips are accurate to the original screen used suits.
  11. CONGRATULATIONS Steve!!!
  12. CONGRATULATIONS BRIAN ON YOUR 2000TH POST!!! You are a top notch guy, helpful, knowledgeable and a true asset to the FISD! Here's to you my friend and to your 2000th post and your next 2000 post CHEERS!
  13. The red lines/marks look correct for trimming the forearms.
  14. Top notch illustration Billy
  15. That's what I am doing with my real Sterling. Like you, I am leaving it with that kicked around 30 odd years look as well Also, if it was pristine, I would feel like banging my head against something if it got a little ding or scatch to it.. That's what I love about the concept that Lucas had about the SW Universe (the lived in / used look)
  16. Brilliant Job Mark! Great detail, I love that you did not strip down the M38 and the Sterling and repaint them (keep it accurate to the originals) . Battle weathering is superior as well
  17. CONGRATS PEZ!! TOP NOTCH WORK!! GREAT PIX!!
  18. “Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.â€

  19. When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.

  20. Hey Matt, If you are looking for a quality/accurate T- tracks. Then look at tfx_studios on ebay. Top notch T-Tracks at a great price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLASTER-GUN-GRIP-STRIPS-star-wars-stormtrooper-graflex-/190448373619?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c579b8f73
  21. Brilliant work Pete... Brilliant photos! I give it 5 Star destroyers!
  22. Uh! Let me think about it... Absolutely man, go for it
  23. Ebay, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. You must be cautious. Like it was said before, Ebay is normally inferior recast. You will end up regretting the money that you spend on it, because you will end up spending more on trying to make it right. If you can't wait on Rob (RT-Mod), my next suggestion would be to go with an AM lite kit. AM is the next generation to the FX. AM has sharper and has more accurate detail than the FX, especially a recast of an FX. If you go with an AM lite kit and one of the more accurate helmets like TE2, AP, TM, ATA, Cap-W. (lite kit only means without the inaccurate lid and electronic/voice amp). The vendors that you find here will give you a good product and good service. Just understand that this is kind of their busy time of the year and this is just their hobby, not their full time job. Just keep contacting them, they will get to you.
  24. Happy Birthday Joey!!! Have a great time man!
  25. KA BLAM!!! ... Sorry that was the sound of my jaw hitting the floor when I saw it.. top notch job!
