  1. Looking really nice, Jonas! I noticed that you have a bit of E-6000 seepage under the cover strip. Not to worry, this is to be expected. This is super easy to remove, just carefully cut along the cover strip edge with a razor and them rub off the excess dried glue with your thumb.

  5. Thanks JustJoseph63 I appreciate your suggestions. The thigh photo I just posted is after I removed the back cover strip and trimmed the thighs down. I am thinking I will probably take off some more of that return edge around the top but they fit much better now. Here is a more recent photo. Please tell me what you think. My new concern is that my butt plate seems wider than my derriere and hangs out a little. Still scratching my head on whether to just eat more to correct that or something else. Pretty sure the Dr. will tell me the latter.

  6. JRDF One Walk 2019 They lent us a snake- First Troop as a TK! Learned a lot about walking and why leg trimming is important. Also what that sniper plate angle means in terms of sneaking under the thigh. Will impact how I tune up the armor moving towards L2/L3.

  9. Well, hope you all are finally enjoying The Mandalorian, it's getting exciting. We still haven't had our episode air yet so we can't say anything but we got to see a few more episodes last night at the premier and you are going to love what's coming next week. Can't wait for you to see more so we can start working on some cool new costumes.

  11. Awesome job. I also forgot that I added Velcro to the tops of the boots, front and back, where the little pull tabs are. I then added Velcro to the inside of the calves, front and back. This prevents the calves from riding up. Mine never move So far in the package I have: Leather strip for holster Aluminum strip for TD Rivets, various sizes. I have lots of these left over Helmet fans, two types. These are just the fans. You will need to do some wiring for a power source, but at least you have these. I won't need them I checked you shopping list and didn't see any of the following. Question: Do you need any of this stuff?: Sticky Velcro in black and white. (can you find industrial strength near you?) Line 20 or 24 snaps Chicago screws 2" White elastic strapping for shoulders. Thin white elastic string to tie down the shoulder strap.

  15. Looks a lot better, Scott! If I could make a few more suggestions (mostly strapping issues), they would be as follows: 1. It looks like you trimmed all the return edge off the bottoms of your shoulder bells (AWESOME), but the left one seems a bit pinched at the bottom, causing it to ride out from the bicep. This is what is causing the gap between the bell and the chest plate. The right gap (and the ones in the back) are PERFECT! 2. If you look at the outside bottoms of the biceps, (top blue line) you can see that they are uneven. I would lower the right one (or raise the left one) to even them out. 3. That lower bicep is also causing the forearm to sit higher. Same deal. You should have a closer symmetry on both sides. 4. Although certainly passable at Basic approval, your ABS belt should ideally sit just a little higher. 5. The posterior plate looks good from a rear view, but it still juts out a bit in the back... you should try tightening the strapping. 6. Unless they are bothering you or making a clicking noise when you walk, the backs of the thigh tops look good.. 7. When suiting up, check the alignment on the backs of the calves. The left one is ideal but the right is off a hair and that point can snag your under suit. Now for some positive things!! 1. Your cover strip alignment (forearms/biceps-thighs/calves) is among the best I've seen! 2. Same goes for the back/kidney/posterior plate. 3. One of the most common items we see are drop boxes not positioned correctly, but you nailed it! Just a few tweaks here and there, Scott and you will have one fine set of armor, and once you receive your official 501st TK I.D.#, I would like to see you apply for your Expert Infantry badge! Hope this helps, and always feel free to hit us up with any questions.

  16. Since the EI/Centurion certificates have no designation (Hero, Stunt, etc.) only one is issued per trooper, sir. Besides, if you got one for each approval you'd run out of wall space!

  17. Hi Joseph, Sorry to hear this. Out of interest, where did you hear that it has a “voice changer”? As per the demo, it has perhaps a little filtering to make it sound like a CB radio, but I’m not aware of any voice changer features. I’d contact them if you only get 4 TK sentences - I don’t use the samples, however, it has loads of them that can be triggered by the optional remote. I don’t use this - I just put on my bad American accent and off I go. ;-) Best wishes Dan

  19. This wasn’t aimed at you, more of a general reminder. It was possibly a bit course as I’ve been spoilt multiple times today before I posted that. Long wait. Some regions are next year. But various sea captains are sailing at the moment nullifying some of that.

  21. Found my copy this morning, had it in a download photobucket files folder. One of the funniest images I've seen in my time here. Not just the fact that many are wearing the pauldrons, it's also the fact they are wearing them on the wrong sides

  24. Holy Cow Brother. Thank you so much for all of the awesome input. Will definitely get on all of it asap. I am in the middle of another job with different armor. hahaha Jousting armor. As soon as I am done I will get on this asap. As far as the DLT, I already weathered it and will be doing the brown stock next. As far as this armor goes, no this is not my HWT. I have that one almost done. This is just my back up suit that I wanted approved as well, because you guys have an insane attention to detail that I appreciate. So I will be getting on all of these changes as soon as possible. Thank you for everything. As far as my status, I don't care about status. I just like to do the best that I can, and I always like a communal input when it comes to this kind of knowledge. So I appreciate everything from our entire FISD community. The Thigh plate is going to be the only tough one for me to modify only because of the Glue. So I need to think about how I am going to go about that. So I may ask some grace on that if it is at risk of damaging it. I want to take this on Hero Status as well as my back up. As far as the HWT, I am almost done with it and just waiting on my pack. I am doing extra weathering on that one. I had it extremely weathered, and I mean extreme, but I took it back a thousand percent. It's more than light scuff, but I am keeping it a bit more heavy weathered for my own work related purposes. So that is a whole other suit I will be submitting. Again, thank you and the entire team for always helping and being so encouraging. Means a lot and I send everyone my absolute gratituge. Love the 501st and its members and FISD is an honor. Thank you my brothers and sisters. Ardeshir R.
