Hi Barry, thank you for your EIB application. . Added to process line This Christmas holidays, we are all "busier" with "family reunions", so we know you can understand that it may take us a little longer than usual to process this request. Thanks for your patience.2 points

You should put this in the gallery for long term storage/accessibility.2 points

I am waiting on confirmation, and you could be well right. Hope to have more info soon, but with the holiday period, it may be a while.2 points

Hello. I am sorry they changed the design and you printed the wrong bases. I was not aware of the change until now. I can take a look at modifying the bases for 5 spokes. However, I don't have access to a new style bin to get the measurements of the wheels. Wheel diameter (without the "tire"), distance between spokes, and the spoke width, etc. It also looks like there's more of a lip on the tire portion and it extends out past the wheel, where the old style was more flush. Would you or anyone that has one of these new style bins be able to take some close up photos of the wheel and provide some measurements? Ex. Green = 7.23 in diameter rubber wheels (from the item description) Red = Yellow = Blue = Orange = Also, the total tire thickness and the depth of the lip between the tire and the wheel. Thank you!1 point

Outstanding armor and very impressive subtle modifications to make it fit you! I'll wish you luck with EIB even though I don't think you need it. You got this Barry!1 point

I did that run about 6 or 7 years ago, back when HWTs were getting popular. Anyone is welcome to re-use the design, but it would be cool if someone could come up with a new one (hint hint) . There are some insanely talented folks in this Detachment and I'd definitely be up to buy a few. BTW, the other patch was from a run done by Charles (Templar726) about 8 years ago.1 point

On the day before Winter Break, Santa always visits every classroom. I put on the armor, added a Black Series helmet and accompanied Santa on his two-hour tour. Everything held up well. My forearms are definitely too loose and too long, but I suspected that; they were the first thing I built. Everything else seemed good. The Rogue 1 pauldron is from Katarra8 on Etsy.1 point

Start with anything you feel is less scary Personally I would start with the legs, you will need these before you can do final strapping to the abdomen/chest areas but as I say it's entirely up to you were you start. Great thread here on return edges Many helpful threads can be found here Measure twice and cut once, and ask questions, there are no silly questions only silly mistakes from not asking a question Lots of members frequent these forums and are ready to lend a hand if needed. Good luck with the build1 point

This is really a hack for people who already have a helmet and are working on the next one. If you already have a helmet and are pleased with the way the ears look (even if there is still a gap), your next set of ears can come ridiculously close to perfect! 1. Tear a wide sheet of aluminum foil about square. Fold it several times (for rigidity) until it is a little larger than an ear cover with good margins. 2. Press the foil tightly around the ear cover on the existing helmet. Capture as much of the detail as possible, as this serves to index the position of the foil template on the new ear cover. 3. Take a narrow implement with a straight edge and really press the foil to the edges of the ear cover that mate with the helmet. Be careful not to tear or puncture the foil. The curve at the cheek tube may require a little extra persuasion to conform completely. 4. Press and shape a second time to ensure the foil did not shift. 5. Carefully remove the foil from the helmet and place it over the new ear cover. 6. Trace the trim line. 7. Be conservative and trim close to the outside of the line first. Make small adjustments as needed. 8. Rinse and repeat with the other side. 9. You should have little to no gap with the new set of ears. 10. You're welcome!1 point

I'd like to believe that it gives my thin-ish Anovos buckets just a tiny bit of extra strength and impact resistance without going too crazy. Plus, yea I like the texture and finish (it doesn't scratch, peel, or chip), and velcro/etc. still stick to it just fine. Been using it for several years with positive results.1 point

Here's my ESB bucket - a little strip of black 3M VHB-type tape between each tooth also works well!1 point

I have always used Plasti dip (available at Lowe's or Home Depot in the paint section) for the inside of my buckets. They have 2 kinds... the spray-on and the brush-on type. I personally used the spray. The smell is REALLY bad until it cures, but it holds up great. One hint, though: Whatever product you use be sure to lightly sand down and clean the surface well before applying it. This will help with adhesion.1 point

I used the Rustoleum knock-off of FlexSeal, LeakSeal for mine, turned out nice: It's rubber and has a rougher texture than Plastidip.1 point
