I use cotton inner gloves, they soak up the sweat and stop your fingers pruning, I use a couple of pairs through a troop, nice not to have to put soggy ones back on after a break. Some use Nomex gloves and not the rubber gloves. From the DO: The Nomex type of gloves are 100% acceptable for Basic approval. but not for Expert Infantry and above,3 points

Thanks for the tips Glen and Adam. I was wondering if the clips may be a problem or even the strap pulled back through the buckle. I will kit up once my thighs are done and see how things sit.2 points

Good morning troopers. Gonna start the mad push to finishing this TK up. All snaps have been glued inside my limbs. I will show pictures later. I took the clamps and tape off my ab plates, here is what it ended up looking like. My plan today is to measure out the strapping for my arms and get them in. I want to start the straps on my thighs. Let’s see how far I can get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

He gave a basic reason why it's at 5.0 now. He said the only change was the color of the plastic between 4.5 and 5.0 but the rest of the changes up to 4.5 I'd love to know too!1 point

You might want to replace those clips with longer straps with snaps on the ends. I have double snap plates E6000'd into the inside of my thighs and snaps-on-straps velcro'd to my belt. The strap length is about 6" total to get the snaps a little farther down the armor and not have an end peeking out. Don't get me wrong though. Looks like a great belt! And some fine paint work. -edit- heh, Glen beat me to it.1 point

Nice work. Just make sure your clips aren't seen when worn, I tend to wear my belt a little higher so mine aren't seen, braces help with that1 point

Did some work on the ab buttons and made the belt for the thighs today.1 point

Nice work, you can find when you first start walking around and moving some adjustments need to be made. Almost there.1 point

Finished them. Took me out of my comfort zone a little bit, but managed to get them down. I’ll try fitting them after I run an errand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Cotton gloves are the best piece of advice I've ever gotten. Ten hours in 27°C, those inside my rubber gloves and not a single problem. Rubber ones ripping... well, mine ripped during my 15th troop. And not just ripping, but straight up falling apart. I could only complete the troop by plastering the inside of my rubber gloves with tape and praying. Curiously, it wasn't because of the armor snagging, but instead all around the handhuards the rubber gloves were ripping apart (about 7-8 rips per glove). Might have been because of the way the handguards were glued, putting too much stress onto the rubber, might have been low quality gloves, who knows. I do know that I'll carry my ABS handguards and a pair of replacement rubber gloves to future troops.1 point

Painted a rivet on my Ammo Knee. Once it’s pretty dry I’ll flip it and do the other side. Also, I started to make the inner connections. Did the back side so far. Next I’ll do my thighs, and work on the front. …..and I have my ab button plates gluing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Gotcha thank you, I’ve spent most of the day shoring things up and bending things to fit better as well. I decreased the curve of my shoulder straps to lift that up a bit and will possibly shorten my front elastics and lengthen the rear ones on the chest piece/back plate which may also bring my shoulder bells forward a bit1 point

Make sure you all are on a good multivitamin, extra vitamin D while you're on the low calorie diets!1 point

Hi Tommy, At first sight it looks like you could rise the Ab section and Thighs , but to give you a better help It would be great if you can post additional photos of both sides , back and inner strapping . Additional, I would strongly suggest to use a Photo host like Imgur to post your photos directly into your post. Here's a tutorial1 point

I have heard you can loose quite a bit of weight in the first week or two then this can start reducing, at first you are burning off the easy to get rid off fat. But in saying that it doesn't hurt to speak with your doctor, just to be on the safe side1 point

Although, as you may know, in the beginning it could possible to lost weight fast , as time goes, probably the losing weight takes longer. IMO, to be sure, is a good idea to check with the doctor. Hope everything turns well.1 point

I'm also a day late. Nice job @CountCunning Keep going with that weight loss!!! Initial sharp losses are to be expected. Newbie Gainz as they say. I've had similar early success and have had a lot of muscle mass return to my small frame. Expect the losses to slow as your body gets more used to the workouts and more efficient at doing what you're asking of it. I'm now at 15 days of working out. I've had a rest day here and there, including yesterday. But that's okay. Gotta have a rest day here and there. I've been going on a Heavy / cardio / heavy / cardio / heavy / rest schedule. I was supposed to have a heavy day yesterday, but had a rest day by accident due to holiday stuff. Today I woke up just craving the workout. I haven't felt that in sooo long. It felt good. And now, after having worked out, I would happily do more. I feel energized! Crohn's has subsided and seems in remission again. I'm eating bland stuff (thankfully protein shakes agree with me and keep me energized) but it's still nice to feel well. I trooped in the desert for nearly 3 hours on Sunday evening and didn't get tired. I was surprised we'd been out that long when I looked at the time. I even added a new kettlebell to the herd. More weight was needed.1 point

Alright, it's a day late, but here's my weekly update! Starting weight: 191 Goal weight: 150 Weight as of yesterday (04 July): 184 I was frankly pretty shocked at how much weight I'd lost in the week since starting my exercise plan. I haven't made very drastic changes to my lifestyle aside from now regularly exercising, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't bungle my weigh-in because I've always weighed myself at the same time of day wearing the same clothes each time. I'm considering bringing this up with my doctor because I'm not entirely sure if it's healthy to lose this much weight in such a short time period. If anyone has any advice, I'd very much appreciate it. I'm proud to have stuck to my plan, though, because forming new habits is difficult for me.1 point
