  1. Greetings from Oklahoma.. I've been a costume/prop builder for a while now. I've built costumes and helmets from Boba Fett to Judge Dredd and even the Rocketeer.. And I've always wanted to have the armor for a ANH Stormtrooper.. I look forward to learning all the tips and tricks..

  4. Hello, Troopers! On behalf of the Command staff I am proud to announce that we have a new member of the team! Chemi (TK 30173) from the Spanish Garrison will be moving from his position of Imperial Attache to Deputy Deployment Officer. As a Centurion level TK (and one heck of a nice guy) he will be working with Mario and I and using his TK expertise to approve costumes at the higher levels. I'm sure he will be a great addition to the Staff, so please join me in welcoming him to his new rank! Way to go, Chemi, and I look forward to working with you, mi hermano!

  5. I'm sorry not being clear. It's to be careful not to remove the ridges. As the crl states: CRL L3 Any mobility cuts on back of piece do not go past raised ridges.

  6. Those mobility cuts are the truth. Definite help when walking around in this kit.

  8. Good call on that. I just noticed they have quite a few bad reviews on their Etsy page because of slow shipping/no shipping/no communication. What a shame.

  9. Personally as a GML I would not be able to approve the belt, I would take a look at some of the how to belts threads and perhaps have a go at making a new one. As long as your velcro is not seen from the outside you will be fine. You may find you may be better swapping to elastic and clips as the originals had. Generally basic photos requested are: Front Back Side Side Action Helmet off But some GML's may ask for more detail images if there is something they would like to check. Using a neutral background wall, sheet or tarpaulin (not black or white, or brick or garden) helps your GWL when it's time to edit then upload your approved images for the roster You could also take advantage of our Pre Approval Area, a good way to get some feedback before applying through your GML.

  10. Good information Jason, I think we can suspend them from the list until we get some positive feedback again. Please note. I have amended the listing on page 1 of this thread with the following Please Note HeadShotProps is temporarily suspended as a recommended vendor, until they are back to normal and gain positive feedback from our members. HeadShotProps Armor, Helmet https://www.etsy.com/listing/830810037/rogue-one-stormtrooper-armor-kit?ref=shop_home_feat_4 The armor is vacuum formed and looks very similar to 850AW, although the TD looks better in the pics than the 850AW TD. The helmet looks to be a nice pull, this helmet is roto cast with greebles.

  11. The name "Remnant" according to LFL sources comes after ROTJ and the start of the New Republic so wouldn't cover R1 or Solo. Perhaps you could split some CRL's into 2 versions like other detachments do, example: Stormtrooper: Anthology - Rogue One / Solo / Mandalorian Version 1 - Clean Version 2 - Weathered Stormtrooper: Incinerator Mandalorian Stormtrooper: Artillery Mandalorian

  12. Well.... After speaking with several others and having to file a grievence against them myself via paypal, I think Head Shot Props needs to be removed from this list of vendors. Or at least a warning needs to be posted. I haven't spoken to anyone that has gotten an order from them in a while. One person told me they were purposely strung along in order to miss the 180 day time frame to file a complaint through PayPal. Thankfully, I kept messaging them nearly daily until I simply asked for an answer: will you be shipping out my helmet, yes or no. A week went by with no answer and so I escalated it. They eventually gave me my money back with no explanation. I was lucky. Some people have been waiting months and have gotten nothing and heard nothing. The first excuse was something to the effect of "Well.... the pandemic hit us hard. But I'll get a really nice helmet cast for you." Anyway..... it's unfortunate because there are so few vendors for R1TK armor. I'd avoid this one at all cost if I were you.

  13. Hey folks, I’m calling this JMC E-11 kit FINISHED.... (well, for now, at least) [emoji6] Yes, there are a few areas where I could go to town on parts, replace this, change that, however, this project was initially to see how the JMC E-11 kit (now known as ā€œKit 1ā€) was on delivery, how the parts went together, any feedback on how the production models of these could be improved. The only real additional part I’ve added is the scope rail (which I had already). I’ll do a summary video soon, covering various parts that I haven’t yet documented, however, my conclusion about this kit is that it is TRULY EXCELLENT!!! As I’ve said throughout, easy to work with, very well made and supplied by Marc at TroopaCoola, and an excellent final product with impeccable service. Get your order in today... [emoji6] Thanks for following the build. :-) Dan

  14. Yup, already have elastics, that morning I switched out my straps for the lengthier ones (left side), ultimately led to a back droop. I'm back to using the old ones (right)

  15. Some other references of the mobility cuts Also you may want to bend those shoulder straps down a the back, you can add some elastic if you haven't already

  16. I swear I was thinking the same thing. My TK feels so much more sturdier compared to this TX. Thanks for the heads up on the shoulder bells.

  17. Hi Gretchen!!! Normally a white elastic helps a lot to keep the shoulder straps down(100% accurate).

  18. Sorry to hear brother. I will say this the Anovos black is much easier to crack then the white for some reason, weird I know but both my shoulder covers have cracked yet the white Anovos are perfectly fine

  20. It is pretty large. The accuracy of the ab plate is a concern, as well as the TD is completely wrong, the ammo belt needs replacing, and the legs are cut weird in the back. The customer wants me to build it to meet 501st basic approval standards.

  21. To be honest, that doesn't look bad to me. Many builds out there do not have a textured surface at all - but this one has. Looking forward to your next update.

  23. Ah yeah..... I see what you mean. When I taped my ab part around me and walked up the stairs in my house, it definitely seems like pieces would be hitting each other if I had my thigh parts on. From the pictures it looks like there would be some stress on that lower part if it's too rigid. That's helpful. I looked through some of the build threads but no one really mentioned them. I saw one other person asking what that area was for but then ended up leaving most of it. I think I have a good idea of what I want to do then. Thank you so much everyone for the input and help.

  27. Sadly the results came out more like test 1. I can try again with another coat but worried it will not look good. The problem was also the wind which probably caused the paint spray to dust more and not evenly coat the tube. It requires a good thick 3 layers I think. oh well live and learn. I will let it dry fully and do a little weathering. I left some of the smaller attached parts masked off because I feared this paint would hide too much of the details. I might try giving them a light coat. Once I get all that settled I will spray it again with a nice even coat of black paint. Then weather again. yes this VHT paint stinks a lot. My family not happy about it

  28. How does that work? Do you spray the liner and press on the fabric when it's still wet or something?

  29. I have discussed this costume with the Spec Ops detachment leader, and can confirm they are not pursuing this costume. Their current focus is on another character seen in Mandalorian and several specialized characters from recent comics. Looks like it is up to us to create this trooper and build a CRL to suit, but I can see distinct colour differences in the screen grab and the toy version so lets get hold of the production paint codes for accuracy rather than guess work on the screen colour which will be wrong. This may well spur on further investigation for any interested in this character. Can I suggest if anyone wants to become the CRL model, that you make a very detailed build thread containing your research, and as you are nearing completion we nut out the the CRL specifics to submit to the LMO team.
