  1. Well my journey with Anovos has come to an end and I will continue to follow this thread and wish you all the best outcome. Let’s just say we have reached an agreement that was satisfactory to both parties involved and that is all I am permitted to say on the matter.

  3. UPDATE. I had a brainwave this morning! I remembered I had some liquid rubber left over from when I spot repaired and assembled my FOTK rubber gaskets. Works a treat when applying...should be a good result when I spray the topcoat (hopefully).

  4. Phwoar!! [emoji39] I’m now using a standard camera tripod (adapter with a coat hanger and some foam) as a mannequin for my TK build. Helpful to see how things sit. Must now finish the legs. So far, I’ve only glued the coverstrips at the front of the thighs. Need to get on to the shins next. :-)

  6. Nice little paint area there, I have space between the sheds and house so I normally make a tarpaulin booth, sides, roof and floor, takes some time setting up but well worth keeping the overspray at bay. A good tip to find imperfections is to give a very fine mist coat of black over your spray putty/primer, when you wet sand it will leave areas of black were there are any imperfections or pinholes Nice work

  7. I had to adjust my setup so I could prime these 4 pieces. I put them each on a box and used that to move it in and out of there. I'd spray one, then switch it with another, and again, until I got them all, then wait a few minutes before hitting them from another angle. It took just over an hour but they're coated! I see a few rough spots, holes, and scratches. I'll wet sand to 400 tomorrow and putty fill again. After that, I took some putty to the barrel. I don't know what happened with this piece, but I had to fill A LOT!! I took a new approach, based on my extensive experience of puttying 5 pieces lol. I'd just rub the putty around with my Play-doh knife to spread it across the imperfections but not leave too much to sand later.

  12. Some TKs wear cotton liner gloves inside their rubber ones, and others just wear nomex gloves instead of the rubber ones. Rubber gloves, at least for ANH, are required for higher levels of approval, but once you pass the approval, you can wear what you want at troops. Some wear cooler options. Others swear by rubber all the way, and pour our sweat at the end of troops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I love that sound the dropboxes make while walking. For me it belongs to every kind of armor.

  17. I love the sound of armour clanking in the morning lol. It's an endearing fact of life, embrace it, we all have the same issue and its sounds great when you are marching along in a group of other TK's. If it is giving you troubles with walking it may needs some minor tweaks and trimming, so my suggestion is to suit up and have some photos taken so we can check your alignment, spacing and offer some advice that might make a difference to your overall comfort.

  20. It is quite the feat what you've done here with the exposed bolt plate. I don't know anyone else besides myself who has attempted this mod - you have done it marvelously. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk
