  1. The wait for BBB Day is excruciating. I should be able to hit the ground running once it arrives. Here are most of the supplies/tools I've gathered, thanks to the "Supply List for Your OT TK Build" thread. I am ordering boots from Imperial when they open up again this Friday. Really terrified excited to get started!

  2. Hello there! I've been looking around the forums for a while now and finally say "Hello". I'm 30 years old, form Germany and trying to figure out what to do, to achieve my goal . I would love to make a TLJ stormtrooper, but don't have any experience to do so. So many shops to choose from and pros/cons for each one of them. After some research I decided to order: Armor kit from KBprops Boots and gloves from IB Undersuit and Neck-seal from stormtrooperundersuit Missing (found no shop so far): Gaskets Belt F-11D Blaster Still looking and researching how to get a proper FO-TK and happy for any advice and tips greetings, Ian

  3. Hi all! Although I'm fully aware that I still need to finish my first build (based on a DoopyDoo's kit), I finally managed to obtain some really cool parts for another build: the legendary Phoenix Props E11 kit with aluminum pipe a fully functional aluminum replica folding stock from Warmachine Paintball the excellent T-jay's completion kit, including aluminum scope rail and a real Hengstler 400 counter First of all a picture of the aluminum parts (including a self-made trigger guard): 20200203_223055 This is the unfolded folding stock: 20200203_223528 Here are all resin parts, drying after the initial washing: 20191223_145354 Note that some of these (folding stock, Hengstler counter, trigger guard, power cylinders, etc.) will be replaced by more accurate parts. My first more elaborate job on this build was adding details to the 3D printed power cylinders. Here I am cutting the "resistors": 20200202_162359 And here's the result after lots of fiddling (Obviously it still needs to be painted black) 20200202_232144 20200202_232205 That's it for now, cheers mates!

  4. Wow, with all the parts you've sourced, this will most definitely be a quality build - power cylinders look good! Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk

  7. Really you want your boots on for this one, they can make a huge difference with how the shins sit. Over all not looking bad, left thigh could come down a little. Many of us add some foam behind the sniper plate to help push it forwards so it doesn't hit the thigh

  8. Hello and welcome there are some great builds around to follow, here are a couple that may be of help. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/47872-ear-troubles/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27375-howto-draw-an-approximate-ear-trim-line-with-no-gaps/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29238-my-helmet-ear-tutorial/

  9. What's really great about your thorough investment in tools and consumables is that you'll use all of that on your next costumes and beyond (and there are always more costumes.) In fact, looking at my workbench most of the original stuff I bought for my TK is still there being used on the reg. -Eric

  10. Testfit for the legs! Thoughts?

  11. Hello all! Very exciting times! Dad and I have moved on to do some strapping. We have finished doing the most of the armour except the legs. We thought it would be better to size them once a majority of the torso is done so they don't look to big or too little in comparison to the torso. Nothing worse than it looking out of proportion! Here are photos of the ab and kidney plate joined. I put my under belt on to better simulate what it'd be like once the over belt is on it. We have yet to paint the rivets white, and yes there is a third one under the belt. It could use some touch ups, but looks very good imo!!

  12. Yes, the shoulder straps, knee plate, ab buttons and hand plates were supplied by me from my old set of moulds. The left bicep and forearm, main ammo belt, thigh ammo strap, drop boxes and belt rivet covers were sculpted by Rob. He did sculpt the missing inner parts to the shins but has gone back to using doubled up parts. The sculpted shin parts are why Anovos have funky shins.

  14. Regarding the black/brown debate. I don't know much about this strapping but having worked a lot with photography, I can say it is very hard to determine dark colours. Black - and near black - are the hardest to determine IMO. Various materials will catch light differently and because of the very non-reflective nature of black (hence... black) the interaction of the material with various light sources can greatly alter how we (or the camera) perceive said black. That combined with the fact that some black material does fade to a brown colour with use (sweat and sun are awful) also doesn't help. So, unless these straps can be observed in person, I would say that black is our best bet right now - with brown being possible but less probable. My two cents.

  19. Thanks to this thread, I've started amassing all the tools, supplies, etc. This was today's haul. Twelve magnets have been ordered, too. Dremel, mineral spirits, hammer, vise grips, etc. are all things I fortunately already own. Note the 1/4" wide white elastic--aiming for Centurion already! It sounds like the AP kit comes with snaps, rivets, and screws, so I am holding off on those to see what I end up with on BBB Day. Off to a good start!
