  2. When I started the process of building my ANH Stunt TK I regretted not spending the extra to get the kit fully trimmed up front, or even fully built; however, nearing the completion of the build I found myself becoming more than a little nostalgic for this part of the journey that was ending. I’ll have to relive the journey vicariously by following other trooper’s new builds, because my wife will kill me if I attempt to start another. Shout Outs: - Thanks again to the following troopers for being welcoming, supportive and providing great threads to learn from: Willeywonka, Wook1138, Neb Sgird, gmrhodes13, TheSwede, Lucnak, Hollowbodies, FencingCorvetteTrooper, CableGuy, Pretzel, CoatHanger, JenEcho, Suspend, ABS80, Ukswrath, Commander Gree, Thumpy, Magni, Sgt Garand, Frank75139, Tolo, TK-34288, 68Brick, Zarlon, Steaditrooper, Shanester, Ninjamove, jethroskull, Pyrates. 4. Oh yeah. That wasn’t working too. We disabled it until we can figure out how we broke it. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. It looks as if you should be in good shape for EI, brother especially with all the things you changed/fixed. I would definitely adjust the belt length and make sure the left calf isn't twisted. Really nice job on the fixes... now that's dedication! Don't forget, you will have to have your FISD clearance before you apply, though. This can sometimes take a few days, so be patient.

  11. No kidding, I can't wait to start on that and wear pieces without tape. lol When I was doing the ab/kidney test fits, I taped on the chest and back plates and wore the arms and my helmet. Looked like a very disheveled trooper, but it felt great!

  12. Just as Tino says, scopes were all brass painted black. As for the top t track, that may have been slightly shifted to the left due to the casting mold or the actual prop track being slightly to the left as it was casted.

  13. Scope: The whole body was made from brass and then covered with black paint. The brass is only visible on both sides of the rear foot and because of wear and tear. Counter: Yes, the housing with the window was grey, while the metal socket was cadmium plated (closest color would be brass or gold). The small connector block was black or sometimes grey. Here you can find some references.

  15. Looking good, Taylor. [emoji1303] Just a little thing - if you’re going for the usual 15mm coverstrips on the forearms, I’d suggest you consider taking more excess from the front to create the correct “ridge” look at the front. As per the below pic, the ridge sits only a couple/few mm either side of the coverstrip. If you were to put a 15mm coverstrip up to yours, it looks like the ridge would be quite large. It looks like you have plenty of room to play with, so any excess that needs removing to fit these parts to your arms can be trimmed from around the back. As the front is the main part that people will look at, personally I’d prioritise the front of the arms over the back. Best wishes Dan :-)

  17. Wasn't able to update for quite some time, since the forums were down. Anyway, I got some work done yesterday and took a break today. I cut out the last of the forearms and cut the knee plate. I also marked where to cut on the shoulder pads(there are some light blue marks on there). First test fit for one of my forearms, and boy is it huge! Looks like I've got a looot of trimming to do! Just gotta figure out where exactly. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

  18. awesome as always! Keep it up. What kind of saw do you use to cut in your main lines? Reciprocating? Or do you cut them really rough and sand them in...

  20. Ok. That was painful. The forum now resides on a new and better web server. I suspect you'll some performance improvement right away. If you experience something weird, diffusely bad, or an error. Please post here in this thread. Be sure to copy and paste or screen capture any error messages with the description of the problem. Tapatalk isn't working yet but we'll get to that in the next day. Thank you all for your patience. -Eric and Mathias

  22. After some weeks without time and some troops i was able to go on with my blaster. The folding stock was the goal of the day, but it at the end it did not went as expected :-(, but have a look yourself . For seperating the different parts from each i used carving tools from the set you can see in my first post. It took quite a while to get to that resulot so don't get mad if it takes a while until you are satified with the result ;-). To work on the tiny holes, i used a tiny milling cutter from the Dremel. --- To get rid of the resin inside of the folding stock, to insert Tinos aluminium tube, i used normal sized milling cutter with the Dremel. --- After achiving this, i was very excited to get the folding stock attached to the riffle. Obviously i was not careful enough and the drill jammed and the folding stock broke in two pieces :-(. --- After having a talk to Tino, i glued it together with the glue of his pack :-), thanks again for the help. Hopefully it will last very long ;-).
