Cheers Jesse. Yes, Amazon Prime is pretty speedy. :-) I’m quite an artistic person* so hoping that transfers to my blaster painting skills. ;-) * My family’s been passing around a virus around the house over the last few days (yuk) but all recovering now. Hopefully I can start to make further progress on my blaster soon. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I'm fit for duty and ready to serve the First Order! Approved on October 20, 2017 and did my first trooper on October 22, 2017. It was a blast. Many thanks go out to all that helped and guided me thru the build over the many months. A labor of love.1 point

Nerds, Toddo and I took a quick look tonight and we think this looks good to go. Because LMOs can't just green light a CRL without changing something, I made two edits. For the neckseal entry it wasn't clear that the balaclava was allowed in lieu of a neckseal. I changed it to: A black balaclava may be worn to conceal the wearer's neck instead of a neackseal. The other thing I did was made the blaster wording consistent with ESB, ANH and ROTJ E-11s. Which says this for L1: Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. I'll add it to the member database shortly and drop a note to Eric M's GML that he can be approved without delay. Nicely done TKs. -Eric1 point

They’re actually very good. Comfy too. Might be worth washing as I got dye bleed from mine after two troops. Quite annoying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

Thanks Jesse. I remembered that you acquired a Hengstler and spent quite a while looking at the pics from your thread. Very helpful to see so many angles of it. I actually got my Perspex from part of an old ruler - hopefully it’ll do the trick. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hengstler Counter numbers looking great, like mine and Tennant's! In my estimation, you've go the right font and dimensions as well. Have fun with your magazine mod, allot can be done on it - looking forward to your post1 point

Looking good so far, Jesse. The same procedure (except the washers) can be done to the other solid aluminum pin in the middle of the folding stock.1 point

Hehe. I like it. I always think of Tino as the Blaster Master - perhaps I’ll become “the surgeon”. ;-) Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Ahh, talent revealed - a steady hand on a pencil began first ahead of those surgeon hands on a blaster! Some tips from Adam Savage: Mask, Mask, Mask to make different paints, placed side-by-side pop, and also for adding accents: 'less, in most cases, is more' - have fun painting!!!!1 point

Got some more work done last night focusing on the FO Belt. Large Pouch - Added Velcro Then affixed the Cover Adhered the mounting to the rear of the other ammo pouches Belt - Punched holes in each of the layers Using Loctite 60sec, affixed the layers and clamped while they dry Made it all the way around and completed the overlap of the outer layer onto the buckle1 point

Looks awesome! In addition to the over-the-palm elastic on the clamshell hand plates, I also used industrial strength velcro to keep them in place. Works really well. It also allows you to remove the hand plates and put them on a glove more comfortable for trooping, like the nomex ones most people use. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

How exciting Dan! - That delivery was record speed by the way....Here's where the artistic part of the build really gets explored; looking forward to seeing your approach1 point

He got back to me and recommended I do exactly that. I’ll see how it works on Saturday.1 point

I am still breaking down the kit. Adding and removing grime from here and there. Hopefully it is looking more convincing as it progresses. Regarding the screen used suits it is interesting how the weathering pops in some lighting and looks more washed out in other shots. I am trying to find the right balance with the dirt and marks on the armour. It is a fine balance between heavy handed and not enough however these coastal defender stormtroopers are dirty buggers.1 point

A few more questions. Do you put this on over your head or step into it? Does it open a little at the back, and then you snap it shut? I need to take a little off of my Abdomen armour, but I wasn't sure if it would need to still fit over my shoulders or have my butt squeeze through. And that back plate is just glued to one side? Will the "slash" on the sides just get painted black? I sort of thought this might be elastic, but it looks like on your build and on Jimmi's it just gets painted? Thanks in advance.1 point

Welcome back Taylor and thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Thank you for making the updates suggested during your EIB application. Tony and i are pleased to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Congratulate and welcome to Centurion rank!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We have nothing to add here. Great job on your build. Time to head on out and make your garrison proud.1 point

Hi from Pennsylvania! My armor has recently been approved. I got the newer Anovos kit. My kit was completed in around two weeks, much thanks to my dad because i inconveniently got my wisdom teeth out the day after we got it[emoji58][emoji23]. I did buy a Rob Kittel belt and some MrNoStripes brackets, and i went to JoAnns for a chin strap and the fabric for the thigh system. I got my armor looked at at the last garisson bash and i got some awesome photos done by Marty Miller. Thanks to everyone for all the help! Just one more question...why does the armor make me look so tall[emoji23]? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Just thought I'd share this. I bought this book, Star Wars Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide before starting on my journey to the 501st as I enjoy background information that expands on the Star Wars Universe. It is a great account of the different arms of the Imperial Military, including the army, navy, and especially a great section on the Stormtroopers. There are handwritten comments from the Rebels, as this book is set up as a captured copy reviewed after the Battle of Endor, but overall it provides a great source for background on the Imperial Military organization. FYI, this is listed as a Legends book, so may not be considered canon. Costs $ 20 USD, published in 2015. It is a great reference and fun read! Jim1 point
