Where to buy replacement helmet vocoder?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area.  My helmet has the vocoder as a separate piece.  It is not molded into the faceplate.  It is missing and I cannot find a replacement.  Could someone point me in the right direction?

Hiya.

The only maker I know of that supplies a separate vocoder with their helmets is SDS on their Battle Spec. I’d perhaps try them. :-)

Or Jim Tripon in the Phillipines, but for his Rogue One style helmets... still might work. Odd that it's a separate piece tho... What make is the helmet?

Unless it's an old FX style helmet, stat also came with a separate vocoder piece.

A picture would help us identify the helmet if you don't know yourself.

Thanks for the info gentlemen.  I've reached out to each of Jim Tripon and SDS for help.  I purchased this suit on eBay in April 2005.  It's been in a box, unassembled (other than the helmet), for the last fourteen years.  Finally put it together.

Thats a very OLD FX which unfortunately is not 501st approvable, also the grey regtangle caps are seperate pieces as opposed to molded on ears like movie originals.

Stormtrooper armour has moved along quite a bit since this helmet and armour were around . Unfortunately , I fear you are going to have to forget it and buy a complete new set up if you are planning 501 st membership .

Sorry to be brutal , sometimes it's just cruel to be kind .

I am disappointed that i won't be able to join in on all the 501st fun, but am grateful to have the community as a resource.  Nice to know the manufacturer of my suit.  I'm also thrilled to have a life-size stormtrooper standing next to my television. Thanks for the help.  This story has a happy ending.  My brother-in-law will be able to 3-D print the needed parts at his school.
