MakeNoiseMan[TK]
Congrats Chris!! Looking forward to suiting up with you soon! The only thing my inexperienced eye can spot is that you may want to trim a little off your shoulder bridges. I'm pretty sure removing the last, extra-thick tab is screen-canon. Great work! :-D

I think I would like to as they seem long on me, but we'll see what the experts say. My goal is Centurion and I built it to those specs.
gmrhodes13[Staff]
Nice work, nothing big for a hold up for basic, for improvements for higher levels: If you haven't done so yet I'd advise adding a little foam behind your shin with the sniper plate, it will help hold it away from your thigh (having some in the back of the thigh can also help) Drop boxes should align with the end of the plastic belt. Match forearm spacing, you may notice they are a little off Screw in helmet ears seem to be pulling the ears in, may be a little tight, too tight and they may even pull through Thighs are at different heights, can notice this more on the back photo I know the DO's ideally are looking for the ear screws to align with the trap Could loose the big tab on the back of your shoulder straps as they are a little long Vocoder painted section is normally flat at the top, you have a high spot in the middle, yours also appears to taper outward from top to bottom. You may also find if you can lift up your ab/cod section a little it would give you more room around the thighs and knees. I would also recommend loosing the extra material on the belt, normally they stop before the end of the TD Good luck and hope to see you approved soon
msouza[TK]
Like gmrodes has stated, the belt box alignment is off a bit and that could just be an adjustment after suiting up and some foam to keep the sniper knee from going under your thigh. and Adjust your strapping on your thighs to make them as close in height as you can. Digz Graavz[TK]
Thanks for the tips. I've adjusted a bit of the paint on the vocoder. I don't think I can do anything about the screw angle really, but I can back off the ones that are bit tight. Maybe I took the "countersunk" a bit too much to heart Sniper knee foam - good call. Drop boxes I will solidify their placement, The thighs I will take a look at. Tonight was the first full fitting of the suit after 100% assembly so I figured there would be a few tweaks. I'll also take a look at the belt. Keep 'em coming! Edited February 12, 2019 by Digz Graavz

justjoseph63[Staff]
Looking SHARP, Chris! It looks to me like basic approval is in the bag, and you have been given some great advice for when you are ready to head for level 3 (hint hint). I would echo Glen's suggestion and remove the extra large tab at the rear of you shoulder bridges. Also, it may be the lighting, (and not that it matters for basic) but are the insides of your hovi-tips white?
Digz Graavz[TK]
LOL yeah Mark (AP) even emailed me and told me to cut off the shoulder tabs (done). I also recontoured them a bit. I recontoured the butt plate as well, as it sat well below the codpiece and I didn't like the stress it was putting on the straps, and how it looked. Here are the mic tips as they exist now, straight from AP: I'm looking at moving the earpiece screws too. I'll post about that in my build thread. gmrhodes13[Staff]
White inside correct, just paint the rim white and you are set
Digz Graavz[TK]
Paint's fresh but you get the idea I'll probably do a bit of minor touch up.

lucnak[TK]
The shin closure cover strips should stop at the ridge. Hard to say if it's an angle issue, but it appears that they are partially overlapping the ridge, so a small item to address. However, I don't think anything will hold you back for basic! You'll have a TKID in no time (once the DB unlocks)!
Sly11[Admin]
Definitely a solid build and easy basic approval. The guys have given you some great advice so if you are looking to go for a higher accuracy level like Expert infantry and centurion, they will have you on the right path. Great work trooper
Digz Graavz[TK]
Cover strips were a bit strange for me, as some references have them covering and I like that look so that there's not a visible seam::

They stop below the raised ridge, even when that area hasn't been cut away.

Got my GML email and he just requested a few clearer pics and a good action shot. I figured I'd take the Centurion list while I was at it.
