L2A3 Sterling Conversion

It was fairly simple to get the parts moving again.

And with that you go 5 years in jail if the wrong person read this.

https://www.egun.de/market/help.php?topic=Anforderungen%20an%20Dekowaffen

Who's to say it was decommissioned in Germany? Is there a deac certificate from Germany with it?

How are they deactivated in Germany? Do they still have all the moving parts over there?

I wonder how many different methods there are for deacs?

Well i hope it is. If not.. than it's illegal here ;-)

In germany is just one method allowed, if it's not this... it's illegal.

And the Sterling is a special case. As the barrel is shorter as 60cm,cause of this it has to be handled as a pistole and not as a rifle.

So there is a complete different kind of deactivation.

But it not want to derail the thread here... let's look what Derrek is building out of it.

No problem!

5mm Tall, and 19mm long... but only 13mm of that is showing when the bolt is forward.

This is what it looks like with the firing pin in:

Super thanks for posting the measurements and the photo . Start working on that tomorrow.

Can't wait to see this sterling take form into a true TK blaster. Great work so far.

Very nice, this came together wonderfully!

Naturally I would love to get my own sterling convert, but it will have to wait a bit until the funding is more available! I'm pretty tied up in other things and have dreams of doing more! So the slush fund needs to build back up before I can think about a sterling convert!

You could say it was screen used and get 38k for it! 'Hahaha'

I'm going to be taking some notes from your topic here. I have a deactivated Sterling as well; but the barrel was cut in half. I will have to degree all the parts as well. I will need advice on where to get/make power cells, t-track, what type of scope to get, and where to get a counter.

Heya, I would be happy to help. There are quite a few here who have done the conversion and I know that between all of us, we can help you out.

Thank you Andy,

Putting your power cylinders on it is like icing on a cake.

It's the only part on a E-11, that is hard to find...

Still needs to decide one should put a Big Eagle loge Hengstler  counter on it, or small eagle....

What would you do ?
