I would wager that there are far more people buying TKs from Anovos that are not trooping than are, plenty of people buy them for cosplaying or to put in their mancaves/theater rooms.

I placed my pre-order way back in 2016 (I think?) and have been waiting patiently. There are other kits out there but they are not as accurate (softer details, hand sculpts etc.) so I've been waiting it out. I fully expect them to delay these kits as they have been sending emails on several products recently - sounds like something happened overseas and they are having to start over here in the USA. I've stopped worrying about it, I have my ANH TK to troop in, when I get an actual shipping notice from ANOVOS I'll go order the rest of the stuff I need and start building, hopefully before Episode IX. And I fully agree with Clint. Be careful though, if a bunch of people start complaining Disney could also just pull their license and then nobody gets anything ever (paranoid maybe, yes, but possible).

That reply makes it sound like they're bumping everything, though. I know they've bumped most of the helmets.

I have an Anovos one. It’s decent, getting a little worn out now, and dye still bleeds 6 months in. Will probably replace it with one from Darman or one of the other vendors here on FISD.

Are you planning to stay HWT? Those can take some weathering so you could dirty up the bucket a bit to match. Otherwise if you plan to convert the HWT to a clean TK you could paint it or try a product called retrobright if the plastic has yellowed, but you'll need quite a bit (meant for for LEGO, old consoles, PC cases etc., not so much full-body armor) and there is some elbow grease required. Or... Live with it. I am getting a Hero bucket for my Anovos TK and I'm resigned that the plastics wont match 100%.

Coming together quite nicely. Really want to get one of those vests, but need armor first!

If they are indeed pushed to July of next year I foresee a lot of cancellations. (I'll hold out until it ships or Anovos goes under, though!)

Is that any different than say, Thor's suit changing every single film if only so the costume designers can 'put their stamp on things' as well? Just the way Hollywood works now, I suppose.

Was the "like" functionality intentionally removed? It is MIA so if that isn't the case, it's another bug.

Yep, everyone I know who has used automotive paint has had their finish hold up quite a bit longer (and it looks better IMO).

RS is darker than AP, at least the samples I have. Probably “good enough” if you must mix and match the two.

I hope you decide to tough it out, if only so I'm not the only Reno-area FOTK. That said, if they delay it much past early 2019 - and I can't get it built in time for Episode IX - I'd probably cancel too.

Details look pretty good. A shame the forward grip is non-functional.
