  1. Yes, you should tighten the straps in teh middle and the back plate will kind of lean back and should sit flush with the kidney.
  2. 1. Yes you can remove the return from the elbow if it is helpful for fitting. 2. Not sure what you mean by "Straight side"...can you post a photo or something?
  3. Your bicep kind of looks like the parts may be upside down as in the bottom of each aligned with the top, though it might just be the photo. But yes, align the bottoms of the bicep as the top is mostly covered, as Rat said.
  4. At basic, most methods of attaching are fine. Elastic around the wrist and palm (or around the two middle fingers), velcro, glue.
  5. Your sniper plate is only a little off. I'm sure you'll get it in the perfect spot on your second try! Looking good. Only thing I can see from what you posted is to watch out for sniper knee lock. It will try and sneak in under the thigh, so some foam to push the knee forward and the thigh back may be helpful.
  6. Honestly, I am blown away by how you made this fit her! Incredible job. Everything looks good to me after the stuff you mentioned is done. Only thing I can see is the pull tabs of the boots sticking out of the shins, but that's a dressing issue.
  7. This is not a complete listing, but here are the big differences. Using ANH Stunt as the "default" as it's overwhelmingly the most common TK configuration. ESB: Black frown Handplates are different Holster on right side with loops, not screws RotJ: Kidney and butt plate must be one piece (this limits you in vendors) U-shaped gasket around chest, ab/cod, back, kidney/butt plates Black frown, oversprayed onto "gums" Hoslter on right side with screws Big ab button plate is upside down Shoulder bells sit a bit further off of biceps Handplates are different
  8. Hi Mark, Hopefully a moderator can move your thread over to the correct sub-forum under Request TK Pre-Approval. Moving on, here is some feedback. Regarding getting your basic approval: From what I can see here the only thing that will be an issue with basic approval is the rivets on the holster. Four rivets for Hero, two for Stunt. Your helmet is a Stunt so removing the upper rivets is the easiest way to address this. Depending on how the belt looks after you remove them, it is possible you may need a new canvas belt. Getting a sturdy one will help avoid those folds you can see in some Anovos canvas belts too. General suggestions to improve your overall look: Your thighs could definitely come up quite a bit. If you are able to wear them higher definitely do so. This not only looks better, but will give you greater mobility. I think that your biceps could be worn a little higher and your shoulder bells could come in a little closer to the biceps. There's some difference in how much black is showing between parts for both your arms. Your drop boxes could be secured to stay at the ends of the ABS belt (this is a higher level requirement but is easy to do). Your belt could also be worn just a little higher, overlapping the large button plate slightly. Your rivets on the left side of the ab and kidney are not aligning. Can't see how you've secured these with the shim, but ideally they should be lined up and not be staggered. Your right side closure of the ab and kdiney are not lining up in your photo of the side. Typically the top of the kidney and ab will line up though the shim may be making this difficult. You could remove some of the flashing from the eyes (Anovos is known for leaving a bit too much in there) and extend the frown a bit past the undrilled holes. I know these look like a lot of criticisms, but they are meant to be constructive and in a lot of cases, they are fairly easy. Great job on getting your shoulder bells touching the shoulder bridges and pretty minimal gap between the back plate and kidney plate. If you need more detailed suggestions on how to address something, let us know! We're here to help you look your best. Basic is just a small step away and then if you want to shoot for higher accuracy, we are ready to help you with that as well!
  9. The screws look correct, but the ideal placement of the slips will be touching the bottom of the control panel and touching the end caps. You'll need to paint the screws black as well.
  10. Welcome! Checking out @Cricket's various builds will definitely be helpful! I believe @shashachu has also sized a lot of her armour down, so take a look at her builds as well!
  11. Congrats on your approval! Don't forget to request 501st TK access once your member profile page is up.
  12. Hi Ryan, I think Dan covered most points that I spotted. The shins are definitely an issue that will hold you back. Can I ask why you used such a large strip in the back of the thighs? Looking at the small gap below, it doesn't appear that have been necessary, but obviously I don't know the full story here. I am surprised that you are having shin closure trouble since I am of a similar build with ATA and didn't have this issue at all. Only other thing that I would recommend is gluing your shoulder bridges a bit lower on the chest. Most people have around 3 small bumps in addition to the big bump glued to the chest plate, and your can see your straps coming down pretty low over the back plate.
  13. I am still catching up on here after taking a few days away but congrats!
  14. Stefan, I think you're good for basic, but some small recommendations to improve your overall look: When dressing, wear the belt a bit more level. For most, the bottom of the canvas belt meets the bottom of the kidney plate. The bottom screw of the ears of your helmet could be countersunk a little more so that it doesn't stick out (this was what Rat interpreted as an incorrect screw) You could remove some of the flashing in the eyes. Anovos is known for leaving a bit more than what's ideal. Your compression suit is partially showing at the edges of the shoulder bell, likely because it is too loose. It's hard to know based on photos because it just looks totally black, but that's typically what makes the edge of the shoulder bell at the chest look a bit wonky. Your shoulder bells are sitting a little far out at the shoulder straps and at the biceps. Without a closer photo, it's hard to recommend a solution, but in most cases, shortening the strap to the shoulder, removing return edge, tightening the elastic that wraps around the biceps, and/or using a hot water bath to have them follow the contour of the biceps can help. Lastly, I noticed the ridge on your biceps and your shoulder bells are not lining up as they usually naturally do. Do you have a strap from the bell to the bicep? That could help keep things aligned. These are all small things that will help ensure you look your best. If you want to take it a step further, you can take a look at L2 and L3 requirements. Good luck on your approval!
  15. Hi Darren, I would recommend you post your build thread in the appropriate subforum based on which costume you are building. That will ensure that people with the right knowledge can see your progress and advise you when you have questions!
