  1. That thread was started on 23 Apr 2015, which is before the movie's release. A quick glance in this thread shows that rubber and cloth gaskets are discussed/ordered.
  2. Given the above posts, it seems clear that there is no discussion around "recasting" to be had. I suggest it be moved to a different area of the forums so that it does not cause any damage to Teresa's business, as it is the one that appeared to have been accused. I also suggest it be renamed to "Imperial Gaskets Complaint" to more accurately reflect Wyatt's issue. Regarding the search terms, well, that's just how search engines work. Use of the terms "imperial" and "gaskets" appear to me to be completely fair use. If one enters the search terms "imperial gaskets" with the quotation marks, all search results include the two words side-by-side. At a quick glance, all the search results are referring to Wyatt and Rhonda's business. Complaints to admins should not be in another seller's thread.
  3. Wow I'm impressed at your reshaping that back! It's even big for me and I'm definitely bigger than you! Though you will have an ab and TD to fit under the chest/back. I find I have a lot of extra room on the sides but less so on the front/back of my FOTI.
  4. Nice to see you had fun! Just wanted to suggest you secure the dropboxes with glue or velcro to ensure they stay in place aligned with the ends of the ABS belt!
  5. Agreed with everyone else, basic should be an easy pass. I would suggest you reglue your shoulder straps a little further down on your chest plate. You'll see you have lots covering the back plate and typically you'll want the big bump plus a few of the small bumps on the actual chest plate. Also keep an eye out for that sniper knee locking in/getting pressure from your left thigh. Some foam pushing it forward may be helpful.
  6. Okay, having trouble picturing what you're describing. What vendor is this kit from? Again, I don't recognize it. Regarding shimming, perhaps it would be best to get a DO to speak to that for L2/L3 certification. Paging @justjoseph63
  7. You should also request 501st Stormtrooper status here: If you tried posting in the request subforum, you may have been unable to do so since your profile is not set as 501st TK.
  8. Could you perhaps show a photo of what you mean by bunching up? Ideally, the kidney sits level. Right now, it's slanting downwards and I think that's making the butt plate overlap it on the sides. Sounds like you have enough straps but we can see the middle one stretching in that back photo. Here's a reference photo regarding trimming your shoulder straps. You'll see that there is just a bit of extra material around the large tab that sits on the chest plate:
  9. Good luck on your build! Post all the questions you want; we're here to help!
  10. Daniel's got you covered there! I would suggest that you keep return edge at least at the bottom of the chest plate, the tops of the shins, and where the back, kidney, and butt plates meet (it will keep them nice and butted up against each other).
  11. Can I ask which vendor this kit is from? I don't recognize it. Regarding fitting your torso, you may need to shim even further if you want to close the gap on the sides. Can you wear the ab/cod any higher? Then the chest plate would sit a bit higher and not leave as much black showing once you have your undersuit on. I think you may need to add some strapping to the butt plate at the sides/tighten the strap in the middle. You also have a lot of extra flashing around the shoulder straps where they're glued onto the chest plate. I would recommend removing them and trimming those down and then regluing.
  12. Apologies, I had assumed that the changes discussed several months ago had been pushed to the published CRL.
  13. You should use an external image hosting site for your images. Here's a quick tutorial on using imgur.
  14. Looks so good! So cool to see the backpack on too!
  15. Hmm so no kidney rivets at all. Should be quick and easy to remove from CRL. The sniper knee rivet issue is interesting. There are potentially ESB suits that have rivets? And the placement of these rivets has changed between ESB and ROTJ?
  16. Hi folks, I was looking at the Centurion requirements for ROTJ and I'm just trying to clarify three things: CRL model appears to be wearing boots with white soles. This is not listed anywhere in the text. Is there a requirement for white or black boots? Sniper plate - CRL says one pop style rivet, but my understanding is that it's one on each side. One of the various shin photos in the CRL shows this. Kidney plate rivets - can't find a good reference photo.
  17. Are you referring to an elastic strap from cod to butt plate? It may be too tight. It's really just there to stop the butt plate or the cod from flaring out.
  18. I think that if you were to secure the cod to the ab again, it will prevent it from tucking in between your legs. You can see in your "pulled down" photo that it's tilting forward. Attaching it to your ab plate (e.g. gluing the pieces together) will keep it vertical and may prevent this discomfort.
  19. Not sure if the photo you posted was your intended final trimming, but you will need to remove some more off the ABS belt. Should be less than that from the tops and bottoms of the boxes.
  20. In most cases, I wouldn't suggest shortening the forearms. If you ever did, you'd need to shorten from the wrist side, but because of the bumps, you'd need to trim a whole bump and that's a lot. I think just making the bicep-forearm strap a little longer will prevent them going into your biceps.
  21. Looks like an easy pass for basic to me! You could reshape the vocoder paint a little for accuracy. I would recommend pushing the screen in the mic tips in a little bit too. Good luck!
