  1. Some feedback for adjustments: Your right shin closes incorrectly. The strip with velcro should close right over left for the right shin. Your left shin closure strip appears to go over onto the ridge, unlike the right shin. This needs to be cut down, assuming I'm interpreting what I see in this photo correctly. Your right bicep is rotating. Do you have a strap from shoulder bell to bicep? Your shoulder bells are sitting at different levels. This is probably just a strap adjustment. From the back view, your thighs look like they are sitting at different levels as well. Another dressing adjustment, most likely. Your brow trim is arching, more TD-style. I would suggest ensuring that this sits nice and straight across. Your butt plate is flaring out at the sides. Would recommend a hot water bath to bring this in. Your drop boxes are not staying aligned with the edges of teh ABS belt. Though this is a Centurion requirement, it's pretty easy to just add some glue/velcro to keep these in place. Lots of small fixes but they will help improve your overall look!
  2. Your belt height looks fine in the front, just high in the back. I think you're on the right track and you've identified most of the things that still require some tweaks. Your forearms look very close to your biceps - just be sure that you can move around okay. Regading your shoulder bells, yes, ideally they should sit closer to the shoulder bridges and the chest plate. In most cases, this just needs a shorter strap. You may also need some or all of the return edge from the bottom of the shoulder bells. You should also fix the teeth paint so that it matches screen references. Right now the paint does not come out far enough to the top and bottom of the frown.
  3. I would ask your GML what their opinion on this is. My opinion is that you are wearing the ab/cod and kidney/butt too high. I'm also unsure on whether joining the cod and butt plate would be allowed as well.
  4. Congrats! Don't forget to request 501st Stormtrooper access:
  5. Congrats and welcome to the Legion! Nice photo.
  6. Hello and welcome to the FISD! You may find this spreadsheet organized by @sharkbait to be useful:
  7. Lower the back plate as far as you can and then decide. You may just have to live with some gap (which isn't the end of the world). Not sure if an AM back plate or kidney might be bigger and fill that gap. Probably easier than shimming. Whites won't be a perfect match, but you could paint.
  8. Agreed with Glen's comments. I'm not quite as well versed in FOTKs, but based on my knowledge, you shouldn't have issues with basic!
  9. Yeah, the back plate definitely looks quite high. Can't see the top of the back plate in the side photo and the back photo is taken from a bit of a lower angle, but I'm guessing that the tabs of the back plate are kind of just poking into you. Bending these up should help. Keep in mind that the shoulde bridges need to reach the back plate so you may not be able to close this gap completely. Normally, if people are taller than 6', I recommend going with a vendor that makes larger kits (i.e. AM or RT-Mod).
  10. Ear trimming trick. Drill the screw holes in the ears. Mount the ears on the bucket sans ears with the long ends facing out. Slide the ear on the screws to check fit. This way, you're always checking the ear in the same position and not tilting in one direction or the other. Hope that little tip helps!
  11. I don't recall every seeing anyone extend the tabs of the back plate before. Can we see a photo of this on your body? Is it possible that your kidney and butt plate are sitting too low? That's a pretty large gap right now.
  12. Belt position looks good to me. I would wear the thighs a little higher if you could, but then again, you don't want too big a gap at the knee.
  13. Edit: Just saw your other thread. May be best to only post your questions in one thread to avoid duplication. Are you going to use a more typical cover strip size in the front?
  14. Spec Ops is a detachment within the 501st, so yes, the costume can be approved in the 501st. However, the costume is not part of the FISD. Spec Ops has its own forums, but you'll find lots of useful info here since the costumes are very very similar between shadowtroopers and TKs. You can find your local unit here: https://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php And lastly, mods, can we move this to an appropriate subforum? This is not a TFA TK build thread.
