  1. uh oh, another one! nice work. maybe i should paint mine someday.... GO BROWNS... LOL
  2. don't use any of those, go with a wal-mart voice changer and micro speakers. cheap, and gets the job done. FEEDBACKLESS, and SELF-CONTAINED! that's what i did... the fans are also running... you can hear them....
  3. yes, use the mic in came with, the crappier the mic, the better! but don't buy another mic, whatever you do!
  4. hey matt, your kitchen looks like mine!! NICE ARMOR, SIR!
  5. i like the idea of the chinswitch, and i like this concept. the problem is, finding a walkie talkie set-up that's cheap, and has a LONG range that will (preferrably) fit into your bucket. tough stuff....
  6. here's what i did... ------- used some micro-speakers (same model as Stomper's), and stuffed them into my aereators, sealed the back with foam-and-glue-filled easter eggs. ZERO FEEDBACK, and pretty loud! best method out there, in my opinion...
  7. added to my favorites... i form HIPS for a few reasons: 1. i have a shop vac that is bad at vacuum forming armor 2. it's lighter for armor. why form thicker stuff, when the armor will just get heavier? 3. SHAPER DETAILING. and that's what we all want, right? now ABS can be SUPER SHARP (ie, TM armor, the new Laws helmet, etc.), but the stuff is toxic and expensive to form. GO HIPS!
  8. YES BUY THE WAL MART VOICE CHANGER! i bought one of those, put it in my bucket with a pair of small speakers. FEEDBACKLESS< PERFECT SYSTEM!! my amplifier after modifications
  9. can't see the pics at school, but i'm sure it looks nice!
  10. YES I WOULD TOTALLY BUY ONE OF THOSE TE BUCKET FROM YOU!! please...
  11. about your constuction problem... E6000 should do the trick, or hot melt glue. nice work, BTW
  12. dude, nice! very quick build, and it looks very nice!
  13. NICE! (i mean your hair...) oh, and the suit's pretty cool. LOL seroiusly, looks VERY nice!
  14. what you want is a high vac set-up that pulls STRONG and SLOWLY, this way, you get little to no webbing effects... GO WITH A VACUUM-PUMP! shops vacs are AWEFUL at pulling plastic!! i'm on those boards too. VERY helpful with vacuum-forming...
  15. thanks guys... hey man, you know what i mean....... not your thread.... you know what i meant, the one with you in it a lot.... the mic picks up SOME noise from the fans. but the mic is close enough to the mic so that i can seal the mic with my lip to stop the noise... i gotta go to bed...
  16. alright, here we go: nothing special here. just took the box apart, and glued the bits inside. the batteries don't tilt my bucket back too much, but this is because i have lots of foam in it... the front. i put the micro speakers in my aerators, on the outside of the helmet, and behind the areas where the aerators go, i glued easter egg parts packed tight with foam. ZERO FEEDBACK. frontal view on the outside... blends right in, i love it! no foam or anything in the aerators, but this is a good idea for those stuck on feedback. I also have a youtube video uploading a sample of the sounds from this thing. a few notes... You REALLY have to pack and seap EVERYTHING with foam. also, be sure that any potential vibration in the system is eliminted. Wire the speakers in parallel. this is what i did, and from my experience with 2-speaker set-ups, parallel is just fine. Use a mic with LOTS of distortion. i mean LOTS. the crappier, the better! the one i have makes the static burst VERY easy to do! I kept the multi-positional switch, just to mess with people during halloween, etc. you can replace this with a simple on/off switch by doing some very simple re-wiring. just take the wires on one end of the mult-position switch, ans solder them to one end of the 2-position switch. then, take the other end of wires on the multi-switch, and put them on the other end of the switch. JUST BE SURE TO GET A SWITCH WITH TWO ROWS OF METAL PRONGS! any, questions, just refer to this forum the info is around here somewhere... Seal with a good glue/epoxy. you don't want this stuff falling apart on you. i used hot melt glue, on of my favorites out there... Read up on Smitty's "Deal of the Day" topic. helped me out a TON! Just waiting on that vid. will post when i have it up! enjoy!
  17. alright, will have pics in this weekend. this is a nice setup, i'm amazed!
  18. very nice! i capped mine off with easter eggs, and packed the inside with dense foam, and glued it on. ZERO feedback. the better ones are supertrooper's speakers, methinks. these DO FIT IN SCREEN ACCURATE AEREATORS... YaY!
  19. COOL! niceley done. if you need handplates, they are all over THE bay... if you want them cheaper, i can arrange something, too.
  20. WOW!!!!!!!!!! What a SETUP!!! no feedback, SUPER loud, sounds good, and it's going to look good, too. will post vids and pics soon. THIS WORKS WELL!! totally recommend this for anyone with a walmart amp. thanks all for the guidence.
