YAY! another vacuformer. i form my stuff out of pretty thin styrene, 1/6" stuff for armor. what's nice about that is i can reproduce FINE detail. and 1/6" styrene is MUCH tougher that you would think. sure you can jump on an ABS chestplate and run it over with a car and it'll spring back (I'VE DONE IT.... ), but when it comes down to it, the lighter the armor the better, and plus i can always fix or reform any problem piece. ABS is just plain toxic and annoying to form. that's why i dont form it anymore, that and i cant fine smooth and glossy for ABS, just haircell. keep us posted.

question... line 8 states: "Also accepted are fan sculpts that are similar in size and proportion." this interests me, because i was under the impression that fan sculpts may not be allowed in the 501st in the first place, let alone the elite standards... I'M CONFUSED...

that's a VERY laughable suit!!!!!! from the sounds of it, the whole thing is BLOW MOLDED VINYL!!! that's pathetic. so who's the poor guy who's going to buy one of these, post pics, and tell us how aweful this is?? i'll bet they would buy it, recast it, and sell it as an armor kit with a decent helmet (recast from a good helmet, of course). THAT might be worth buying, something vacuformed in some guy's garage out of ABS or HIPS, with a better helmet. THIS is just a JOKE. the 501st has NOTHING to worry about when it comes to this suit. can't compete with something cheaper...

OH no... hey i was going to say the trooper coming down the ramp is too tall to be luke. note that the chestplate is regulate size as opposed to the CUSTOM-TRIMMED SHORTER chestplate for the short mark hamill... i think i spent too much time looking at screencaps and such...

gotta see this vid... BTW, THAT'S the SFS? you put tube stripes on it... or did the studio put those on? i cant recognize it as the SFS trooper with tube stripes...

i like to use this site for reference: www.tk1536.com VERY good for sandtrooper suits, and a VERY impressive clone commander suit. he also has a good stormtrooper armor set, too.

i know what you mean. they smell like COPENHAGEN!! <_< jeez, they smell bad. then it fades and starts to smell like regular leather boots....
