  1. QUESTION: how deep is that oven? what will you be forming that requires THAT much depth? ABS?? i heard ABS needs around 6"-8" for forming... looks VERY NICE!
  2. cool! an AP or TE/TE2 bucket sounds great, but i can't seem to find them for $200-$250 like i used to on eBay. maybe it's a better market at around halloween? cool, 12.5 is nice!
  3. alright, thanks! Murray1134, thanks for the kind words... this bucket is CRAZY cheap! Stormtrooper TK-..., thanks for the pic! after looking at some lovely comparison picson this site, i've found out that this helmet is %100 FULL_SCALE, as opposed to too big (FX) or too small (Rubie's). BingoBongo275, i have to agree with you on that one! these things are cheap and (fairly) accurate. it appears unanimous. yes all across the board!
  4. that's WAY cool. i love helmet/armor build threads. just love them to little tiny plastic pieces... BTW, is it a preference thing to fill/smooth the bumps on the bumpy cap? or is that the cool thing to do? LOL i know the filling of the gaps on the ears is a preference thing, but i don't know about the bumpy cap thing... if it were up to me (which it's not... ), i would keep all the bumps and gaps. so was it a preference thing, smitty?
  5. i've seen a lot of folks buying and modding these things left and right. they are CHEAP, and they look GOOD when they're done! however, IS IT WORTH IT?? P.S. on a side note, what is the max dimensions from ear to ear (the bottom, straight across), because if it's in the ballpark of 12", i'm going to buy and mod on of these! thanks all.
  6. mmm... copenhagen boots.... mmm LOL
  7. cool. really cool! cant wait to see more!!
  8. you'd be right, i just use a 5 HP shop vac... don't have to money for a pump... yet.
  9. AWESOME. everytime i look at this thread, RT armor looks better and better. much better than FX.
  10. i say the CHEST. in the helmet, you WILL get feedback, no matter WHAT YOU USE. i have a large speker in my chest, and it works perfect, zero feedback, and easy to put in and take out.
  11. i bought those for my first suit... the latex is cheap, and therefore holes, tears, and cracks appeared all over them when i wore them for an extended period. then i bought cloth gloves, didn't like them because i wasn't going for an ESB look, and then i just switched over to the $5 gloves at home depot. conclusion, not worth it...
  12. i use a single hole platform. it works MUCH better than a multi-hole set-up, and is MUCH easier. just go on the tk560 boards and see that folks have done over there.
  13. cool! another TJ machine. you forming styrene, ABS, PETE...? looks good!
  14. i cut the butt, that's it. plus, it's kinda custom sculpt, just perfect for me and my tallness.
  15. that's amazing work. i like the idea of the filler, it extends the barrel JUST enough!
  16. i can sit, no problem: i sat down on a mini chopper, too...
  17. nope. i don't believe it.
  18. ok. everything is installed and weathered. looks very nice! installed, not weathered... WEATHERED:
  19. thanks, i should be able to get everything installed tonight, so i can show you some pics of everything put together. when i test fitted everything, it looked like it would be awesome! pics to come soon!
  20. ok... i started with some scrap syrene. ABS will also work, of course. because i was doing this for a KENNER/HASBRO type e-11, i made the "top" of the T 13cm long, by 1 cm wide. for the other part of the T, i cut out another piece the same size. i then shaved and rounded the corners off, and test-fitted the pieces. i then used a hot melt glue gun to glue the two pieces together. be sure to use a VERY thin bead of hot melt glue on the bottom of the t-track, to minimize blobbing. once the two pieces were held together (almost instanly), i put the nozzel of the hot melt glue glun to the corners of where i just glued, and ran a bead down the sides of each t-tracks, creating an even, nearly seamless bond. some pics: i will be putting the T-tracks here... primed T-tracks after priming, i used rustoleum gloss black to piant it. after it dries, i will install, and weather to match my e-11. as of now, i'm waiting for paint to dry... i hope people will find this usefull. i will probably end up posting more pics, and maybe a video, if need be. enjoy...
  21. DONT GET HAIRCELL ABS!!! IT SHOWS THROUGH, NO MATTER WHAT. don't waste your money.
  22. LOL, yup. i have foam in nearly all my pieces. except the chest, up by the pecs. i should really put some there... 6'5", 125 lbs. i'm also kinda young for all this... in theory, i should get bigger with age...
  23. oops. shutting up... i just heard "no strips" and thought... never mind...
  24. every time i look at this topic, i learn more and more. it's pretty cool history, here.
