  1. Great job on the helmet! I removed the return edges on the elbow side of my forearms and biceps, mostly for comfort.
  2. And so it begins with one simple piece..... This is going to be a really slow build but at least it's begun.
  3. I love it! I guess I better hurry up with my HWT kit. I'd like one if I'm eligible.
  4. If you're going for Centurion, now's the time to submit pics and get feedback so nothing holds up your application. Your armor looks great! The TD clips could be closer to the end caps. It also looks like the tube stripes seem a little to far away from the helmet cheek. They should be about a pencils thickness away. Should have no problem obtaining EIB! Good luck!
  5. Congrats! Your armor looks great!
  6. Niice! Good luck and have fun!
  7. Great placement of the rivets and snap! If you're worried the chest armor isn't sitting flat on you, don't be. That's fine. Please post pics before trimming. - What kind of nonsense is this?! Make a proper seam on the front of the thighs and add shims in the back. If you want Centurion, then go for it, brother!
  8. My helmet hits my chest too. Not a big deal. The armor is looking great so far. Will you be adding shims between the ab and kidney plates? The ab buttons didn't come with the kit? You should be able to call the vendor for a set. "There is about 1/2 in gap between my body and the armor on the shoulder" - Can you take a pic of what you mean. I'm don't understand the issue. The TD looks good but I'm not sure of the belt clips. Here's a reference pic. The build is coming along nicely!
  9. Yeah, the ears are never fun. Good luck with them. I can't see what the issue is with the right eye. Can you take a close up shot? I'll throw a word of caution out about using heat on the helmet. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, it could get away from you in a hurry and the helmet is not something you want to take a chance with. Just my 2 cents
  10. Congratulations. Looking forward to seeing you over on the Centurion side!
  11. Dan, 0005 - I've used snaps made with ABS and with webbing. I preferred webbing as I never had issues with them popping off. ABS have come off before. Redforce on this forum sells a packet of webbing. 0006 - Tusken RTT gives some great advice on the extra ABS material. Great score on the storage bin!
  12. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion!
  13. Looks great so far! Yeah, acetone=bad. Symmetry? On stormtrooper armor? Surely you're new here There's nothing symmetrical about the armor. Don't worry about it. You're doing a great job!
  14. Gloss is ok, it all depends on how accurate you want to be. Helmet looks great so far!
  15. It keeps getting better and better!
  16. Welcome to the club! I trimmed mine too much, used it to get through 501 acceptance and EIB and then replaced it for Centurion. oopsies
  17. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion!
  18. Are you frickin' kidding me?! Dude, this thing is amazing!
  19. Coming along nicely
  20. Small gaps are acceptable. There are gaps in the movie helmets.
  21. Looks great!
  22. Luke, the armor looks awesome! My only suggestion would be to take down the weathering on your scope. Good luck!
