  1. I attached the ears, and I have to fix them so they fit better...I'm having trouble with the one ear. they arent screwed on tight but I still need to fix this one... I know for a fact I have to fix this one...it's not really fitting the way I'd like. any suggestions?
  2. ok i wasn't sure because i've seen them both ways
  3. I didn't screw them on yet...I wanted to clean up my edges a little...I did notice a small gap. I just wanted to make sure it was normal. I'll probably clamp them on tomorrow when I work on my helmet again. I'll post pictures when I do that.
  4. I started trimming down the ears, but when i line them up there's still a small gap between the ear and helmet...is this normal? Or should I fill the gap? Also as for the mic tips, I've seen some painted just all black, and I've seen some where the tip of the mic tips (and possible the mesh as well) is white.. Which is more acceptable? thanks for the help!
  5. A day or two after I cut everything out I started to put it together. This is where I had A LOT of trouble.. My brow line seems low but I'm actually ok with it... Let me know what you guys think! On a side note..WHO IS GOING TO CELEBRATION VII NEXT MONTH??!! These came in and I'm so stoked!
  6. Hey guys, I finally decided to get underway with my ATA TK build. I'm very nervous and cautious with every cut and I keep overthinking everything. It's taking me forever to make any cut but I don't see that necessarily as a bad thing, I'm just very critical I decided to start with spray painting the inside black and I started cutting out the eyes and teeth.. I then proceeded to trim the sides and bottom of the front and back parts of the helmet.. Let me know what you think! Any and all help is welcomed!!!
  7. Hey guys, I've had my kit for a little while, but I'm having trouble finding time to assemble it. I have everything to build it and I, should have, all the parts. Working 3 jobs, 7 days a week is obviously time consuming and I just cant seem to get around to finish my build (I've only started my tk bucket). I'd love if someone could help a fella out with building it, either helping me or just doing it for me. I'll pay with cash, beer, food, etc.....whichever you prefer. I'm also a photographer so I'd be willing to take family photos, do a photo shoot with you and your gear, or anything. I live right outside Philly, i'll gladly drop it off to you, if you live within an hour or so (basically all throughout Jersey, Philly area, Delaware, etc.) I hope to hear back from someone, I'm trying to get this done by the time Star Wars Celebration hits. What I need built: - ATA TK kit - doopy doos e-11 - Scout Trooper kit (not the bucket) Thank You, Paul Kensey

  9. i tried to register awhile ago and i haven't heard anything from them...
  10. Hey troopers, I've been doing my research and I think I'm finally ready to start my build. I have (what I hope to be) everything I need to start my ATA build, from paints and tools to hardware (except for the the elastic straps, which I'll be purchasing soon). All I need is a place to start my build, I have no room in my tiny house. I'm from South Jersey (Williamstown area) and I'm looking to see if anyone would be able to help with my build. I've taken a bunch of notes and read through a lot of peoples builds, I just dont wanna mess anything up -_____- So if anyone could help or if they know of anything that will help please let me know. I'm even will to pay/bring food and beer lol thanks -Paul
  11. looks like I'm going to be heading to Joann fabrics on friday
  12. That's awesome, a little confused with it all but hopefully I'll figure it out
  13. Hey everyone, I've been doing some research as to where to get the elastics for my ata kit. I purchased strapping brackets from Mr. No Stripes and I'm trying to figure out the rest of the straps. I know people are getting everything from strapworks but I don't know exactly what to get from there (size and length). If anyone could help as to what to get from strapworks or if anyone knows where I can purchase elastics from anyone or anywhere else. Thank you
  14. I just ordered it so I don't know if it came with a cast hengstler. I have a friend that does a lot of metal work so i'll try to work with him and get him to build me different parts to make it better
