  1. Wow! Great job! The only thing I saw were the TD screws but you fixed them. Outstanding!
  2. I'm pretty sure the only way you can put the helmet on is sideways. I agree with Andrew, shoot for Centurion, it's easier than you think and absolutely worth it! And you have a ton of Troopers willing to help if needed.
  3. Dan, As you have noticed, there are many, many incredibly helpful Troopers here. They all have their own opinions on the best way to approach it, what to do first and so forth. So of course, I'll add my own advice. 1 - Use E6000 as your glue. You can still take apart what you've glued a month later if need be. 2 - Research. Read other peoples build threads, read the tutorials. There's a tremendous amount of info here (perhaps too much). 3 - You're going to be overwhelmed, we all were. As you can tell, you have a lot of Troopers here who want to see you succeed. 4 - Go slow, take your time. Patience is key. 5 - Most importantly, HAVE FUN! I'm looking forward to watching your armor come together.
  4. If you use E6000 to glue the shoulder bridges to the chest tabs, you'll be able to remove them when you swap out chest plates.
  5. Ordered mine from Imperial Boots. Although big, they're comfortable and customer service was great!
  6. The Dremmel is good at removing bulk material but not for fine work. Use a finer file to smooth out the edges. I used emory boards/nail files on mine. Take your time. It is frustrating but you will need to be patient. There's a lot of detail work on the helmet that you don't want to rush through. You're doing great so far!
  7. Looks sharp!
  8. Mike, here's a link for the placement of the rivets: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26886-split-rivet-placement/ My top ones were also too low which threw off the middle rivets as well. I just finished patching them today and hope to be finished tomorrow night after sanding and painting. Good luck!
  9. Your armor looks great and your kids are adorable! You need an occasion to wear it? Since when?
  10. It may look intimidating as a whole. If you view it piece by piece, it's not so bad. You'll do fine, Trooper. There's a ton of support here. Good luck!
  11. Looks great! I'm on the edge of doing a HWT too.
  12. And the fun begins! Take your time, research and ask questions. Good luck, Trooper!
  13. Wow, nice job! It looks really good overall and should allow you to receive basic approval. Are you asking for feedback to obtain EIB or Centurion? I'm assuming Centurion. In addition to the above, the shoulder bridges between the chest and back plates can be trimmed and perhaps angled better so they are on the back plate tabs more evenly. The elastic should loop around the back plate tabs and shoulder bridges. They look to boy looping the chest plate tabs instead. I also noticed the 4 button ab plate. The button plate should be trimmed and glued on. It seems like the entire piece was glued on.
  14. Well played, Walter. Well played. :-) And a hearty congratulations! You rocked this build!
  15. Great job, Walter! Truly well deserved. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion!
  16. Walter, great job! I love everything except for the fact that you can kneel in your armor! ;-) There were a few items I noticed. Your belt should be touching or slightly overlapping your ab buttons. In 2 of the pics, it seems a little low. On your right forearm, it seems the cover strip is either too narrow or the raised ridge is too wide. The last item, the end caps on your TD could be a little closer. I'm not sure if these will matter, but I figure I'd point them out. Excellent job on your build. I'm looking forward to congratulating you one more time!
  17. Yeah, I'm not liking you much any more either!
  18. Congratulations on Centurion!
  19. Great build! The only thing I noticed is your belt could be higher in the front. It should be touching or slightly overlapping your ab plate. You should make Centurion no problem!
  20. Congratulations and welcome to Centurion!
