If I may suggest, post your build threads on the JRS forum and help others who may need it. I will when I build mine. Pass on the help received here. Just a thought.

This is what I went with: http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/bcg-mens-solid-compression-tight?repChildCatid=1334732 http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/bcg-mens-compression-long-sleeve-crew-neck-shirt?repChildCatid=1081029 Both are very comfortable and there's no external colors or markings. Not sure how it will be in the Florida summer but it was fine in the NY summers.

Outstanding! Congratulations and welcome to the 501st! -
I used an extra piece of ABS plastic and formed it to the shape of the cylinder, then riveted it in place

I over applied the weathering on the pack on my first try. Added some softening and black paint. Here's the final look. What do you guys think?

Wonderful job so far! I would agree on rotating the shoulders forward. I would suggest dropping the knees a bit so they rest more on the shins. Otherwise, they may get caught behind your shins from time to time. You may also want to raise you back plate so it comes up over your shoulders a little more, this may help close the gap between the back plate and kidney plate. Coming along nicely!

looks awesome!

OK, so I added the side pipe for a second time. The first time I cut it too short and it looked weird. I used a kool-aid top on the tumbler for whatever that thing is that goes on the bottom right corner. Painted it all up and submitted my pics. I'm glad to report that I'm now a Heavy Weapons Trooper!

Great job, Andrew! Looking forward to congratulating you when you're officially accepted as a member! -
Everyone is nervous before making their first cut. Like Steve said, research and take your time. Remove a little bit of plastic at a time, not one big cut. It's far easier to remove more than add some back.

Jen, I wouldn't shorten the ab piece any more. My suggestion for fitting is to size the pieces in this order: Ab Kidney Chest Back Fit the ab so the cod piece is comfortable in your crouch area ()if that's even possible ). Id also suggest trimming the cod piece a little more so it's not so pointy. With the ab piece in the correct position, fit the kidney plate. It's ok if the chest and back overlap a few inches over the ab and kidney. As long as you can move around, it should be fine. The shoulders and biceps look good. The forearms seem a little long. If you can bend them you're fine otherwise trim at the wrist. The thighs could be raised. They should almost be in your crouch. Can't really tell on the calves/shins from this angle. Remember, you can always cut more off but you can't add more on. Go slow. How tall are you?

Great job and congratulations! -
Thanks for the compliments! Quartermaster has some serious boxes and are worth it. Between an awesome vacation and juggling a few other projects, I hope to have this finished within the next week or two.

Here's the glue I used: http://www.tandyleather.com/en-usd/home/2532-01.aspx Great job on the trap! I carefully used a heatgun on the visor to help bend it. If you've never used one before, I'd be VERY careful. They can do a lot of damage. Try drilling the two holes for one side and mount it. Then pressed down in the middle and mark where the other two holes should be. Drill them and mount the lense. It should be good. Remember, you don' t want it to be totally flush. Gaps are ok.

They look great!

Jen 1 - In my opinion, the gaps you have are ok. 2 - Those are the same boots Kathi has but we decided to covered them because the side stitching was questionable. 3 - Great idea for doing the lenses! Remember to leave extra material and test fit it before cutting to your lines. You can always remove material but you can't add it back. 4 - I took the sharp corner route and taped the trapezoids. Follow the CRL when in doubt and look at other build threads. It's coming along nicely!
