Good Looking Kit! A few suggestions, although they may not be required for EIB ... bring your shoulder bells in towards the shoulder straps, it looks like your back plate overlaps your kidney plate (maybe it's how you were standing and it's not an issue), your biceps could come down towards your forearms a bit, and it's hard to see because of the glossy paint, but are the screws on your TD a pan head common screw? The reflections look like there is a square socket in there (Robertson head). The screws should be common. Nice Job!

Great fit on your armor! Greg's comments are spot on. Nice Progress!

Rest in Peace Jennifer Riddle, TK-9496 (jnnfr72)
68Brick replied to captsafe66's topic in Announcements
So sad to hear. I never knew Jennifer personally, but only through the forums. She will be missed. Rest in Peace. Send our thoughts and prayers to her family. Also, as a trooping community, this hurts, because she was one of us. I hope that I will never experience this is in our own Garrison, but you never know what the future will bring. I hope we Troopers can all watch out for each other. We all need love, understanding, and care. If we see someone is in need, please listen. Make yourself available. And if need be, refer anyone in need to someone equipped to help most effectively, such as a doctor, community health centre, counselor, psychologist, social worker, minister, 24 hour help line, etc. Take care troopers, and keep your eyes open.♥ -

Nice job with the magnets and ABS paste! Once you've worked with it, it's really not that scary! -
TK-24271 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [TM] [542]

Congrats! Is there room in your thigh armor to add some foam on the ouside side of your leg? It will center the armor on your leg and align the thigh and shin pieces. -

Looks Good. Maybe a little more trimming in the eyes towards centre, and removing the sag in your ammo belt. -
TK-97491 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [Anovos][548]

Yup, I noticed the eyes need a little more trimming and the TD screws should be pan head common screws. Sort those out and trim your shin cover strip (it's going to poke you) and your TK will be looking sharp. Good Work! -

You'll have to revise you first post in this thread to say ... "Build starts on page 30" ! -
Looking good. A few recommentations ... heat bend your shoulder straps so they lay flat on you backplate, retain your buttplate with extra strapping and/or velcro, and possibly move your bicep-to-forearm straps to the front of your arm instead of the sides of your arms. It might make the straps a little less visible. You could shorten those straps too, to bring the forearm up a little and away from the hands. Get that girlfirend over and take some pics!

Practice on a scrap piece first for any heat application (iron, gun, or bath). -

Your forearm looks good. With any fitting, of any piece, it's recommended to try things on with your black undersuit on. It will give you a real reading on how things are fitting, and the ease of putting stuff on and off. With your bare arm, your forearm armor might look a little big, and it looks like your hand will pass through it easily. With a black sleve in there, it might be perfect. Just making sure you don't end up looking like you have popeye arms. You know? The sandpaper taped to a table is a great trick and will serve you well. Keep it up! -

I keep checking this thread to see if it's BBB day. This thread is really going to erupt once you've got some plastic in hand! Awesome conversations y'all. One more post for your count. -
Sentry's ANH Stunt Build [AP]

Looking good! Reducing the back to kidney gap will look better and aid your Centurion application. For your legs, try moving your thighs up and your shins down, then add some foam to the outside of your thighs to correct alignment (center the thigh armor on the leg), then check for sizing/trimming. If you need more room for movement, you can always cut out some room at the back of the knee. It's canon and help greatly. -
Awesome!

I haven't personally had this problem either, but I wanted to make the point that things may be impacting your lenses, so make 'em strong. -

I'd suggest mounting your lenses firmly, especially if you plan to be in the blast-a-trooper booth. The guns shoot hard and I have been hit in the eye. You don't want the lenses coming off and impacting your face or eyes. If you don't ever see youself in the booth, mount them however you want. -

Nice! If you've got some Goo-Gone, try it on the Under Armor logo. It might come off and save you from buying another undersuit. -

Armor pinch (or armor bites) happens to everyone. You won't know where you'll get bit until you're all kitted up and moving around for an hour plus. You might not even feel them happening until you undress and notice red marks, scrapes, or blood. The more you wear your armor (and the more you fine trim and/or pad it), the less bites you'll get. For me, I have foam strategically placed in my armor. Some for looks (making the armor sit right), and come for comfort. Ensuring all your armor peices have no rough edges or pointy bits/protrusions will lessen your chances of getting bit. Sand everything! Also, make sure your electronics are placed so they don't poke you. As for how often people troop, it's very dependant on the trooper and his/her personal life. Some troopers are out there every weekend ( ), and some you'll only see once a year. The longest I've spent in armour was 4 hours. I'm planning on attending longer events this year, and I wouldn't be suprised to see 6-8 hours coming up. -
Anyone tried a monitor in the helmet?
68Brick replied to hupspring's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
Maybe a cheap video baby monitor? I say cheap because the cheap ones are black and white and have a small screen. Making it run on 12volts or something...I don't know.
