  1. Ive got Evilboys setup in my bucket and I find it works well. I have the 2 fans pointed at my lenses for anti-fog and for air circulation. I have homemade setups for my chest and back plates to help me keep cool, and the ladies like it because my kit has a slight vibration. Just sayin.
  2. Can you get the shoulder straps lined up over the back plate, and have the white elastics retain them while you are wearing your armor? They really look like they are fighting for alignment. The staps are mis-aligned in all the pictures where you are wearing the armor.
  3. Looking Good! I like your idea for mounting the lenses. AP is awesome!
  4. For me, getting my armour to hang correctly (correct gaps etc) on me was my greatest challenge. Not that it was hard; I had to make adjustments and learned a lot. Worth it in the end. For your list ... Get yourself some rare earth magnets, a variety of clamps, and some painters tape. You'll use them all when gluing things together.
  5. Congrats! That is some Shiny armor!
  6. Hey Jamie, I've seen troopers with and without fan kits. I think it depends on a few things .. (1) Are you a "hot" person, that gets warm easy, and (2) how large is your head opening in the bottom of the helmet(how much fresh air/ventilation can you get)? I run the Evilboy fan set-up in my TK bucket. I found it very hot in there without it. The fans keep me cool and help prevent my lenses from fogging up. I wear glasses in my bucket too. My helmet retains a bit of heat because I kept my helmet opening (for slipping my head in and out) as small as possible, and I have the mesh behind the teeth. I don't wear a balaclava, but do wear a headband. There are a few other threads on this topic on FISD & I'd search them out. You'll find great pics of peoples set-ups if interested. Hope this helps.
  7. Absolutely Killer. Looks Awesome!
  8. Nice looking Kit! A few suggestions from what I see. Bring your shoulder bells closer to the shoulder straps and towards the front. Restrain and/or heat bend your butt plate for a better fit. Reduce your back/kidney gap. And if you're going for Centurion, your side rivets (ab and kidney plates) , and cod rivet should be split rivets. Good Luck!
  9. A little heat, and if you want, you could add a firm strap towards the outside edge.
  10. Nice Looking Build!
  11. Looks Good. A few suggestings ... Raise your right thigh (as already mentioned), bring your forarms closer to your biceps, and restrain your butt plate somehow. Other than that, It fits you great.
  12. Switching to white velcro will help disguise the opening. Are you using "Industrial Strength" velcro, or regular? The Industrial Strength has more pulling power and should keep the joint closed and tight.
  13. Congrats! Do you have any updated pics?
  14. Nice! Welcome to the 501st!
  15. 3 pairs of scissors! Now you're just showing off. Nice Start!
  16. Welcome! I think I can read your excitement! And, yes, Mark's new upgraded armor kit makes it a lot easier to attain Centurion level, so you're in great shape! You've already got a build thread, so you're already on your way.
  17. Oh, and an icomm.
  18. It's the Aker from voice booster.
  19. Congratulations & Welcome to the ranks!
  20. Nice looking build! As mentioned beore, I'd bring your shoulder bells closer to your shoulder straps. I'd also bring your forearms up closer to your biceps. Is there a way you could get your right leg ammo belt to sit level? Something look odd about it, but maybe it's just the picture.
  21. Sweet! Thank You!
