  1. That is a nicely packaged kit! Now the fun begins!
  2. Congratulations Stein ... #197!
  3. Thanks Andrew for reviewing my application so quickly. I appreciate your level of scrutinization and attention to detail. It really ensures that the elite group of FISD Centurions are all on par with eachother, and on the highest standard. I'll shorten my shoulder bell straps and fill my shim joints in the coming week, and then take some new pictures. I beleive my shin cover strip widths may be a little thinner than 20mm. For me, I know it was tough to get a consistant reveal against the ridge line on the shins while maintaining things looking "straight". That along with sanding everything probably made them below spec.. I'll measure them and let you know. Thanks,B.

  5. Another option is to cut your screws shorter and put some acorn nuts on the ends --------------
  6. Hey Tyler, I'd recommend hand sanding all of your edges prior to painting. Your edges are looking a little rough. Your kit will look a ton better with cleaner edges. Just a suggestion. And yes, as Khazid said, you'll have to sand down the crackling paint areas. De-grease. and possibly even prime for better adhesion.
  7. Donation Sent! Thank you!
  8. Congrats! Good job on tuning up your kit!
  9. Wow. Fast Progress!
  10. Looking good. Once the ears are in place, you'll be able to see what shape of head opening you've got at the bottom of the helmet. You can then shape that opening to fit your head, and make it look pretty too. Also, the black S-trim at the bottom does smooth things out.
  11. Not a silly question! Most of us glue some screen (window/door screening) behind the frown/teeth. It makes it harder to see the trooper underneath. Some of us also paint the inside of the helmet black to reduce the amount of relected light in there too.
  12. Should be an easy pass. Looks Great!
  13. Hey Hank, I was looking at your pics again and I noticed you butt plate is popping up. Too many squats I guess. I suggest adding some extra straps ( that are a little more rigid) between your kidney and butt plates to keep them inline. I had the same problem with mine. Feel free to check out my build or EI threads for my strapping pics. I ended up with 2 large straps secured by industial velcro. Looks much better now.
  14. Yup, line up the center box and round out the bottom corners. Try using the pipe diameter of the thermal detonator. Check out an AP Expert Infantry or Centurion approved thread. Great pictures there.
  15. A few suggestions from what I see. You should add some strapping between you chest and ab to prevent future popping and to retain the correct alignment. I'd also look at bringing your shoulder bells closer to your shoulder straps (shortening the straps). To me, your firearms are hanging a little low and ... how is the fit on you ... are they too large? They might be ok if brought closer to your elbows. Looking Good!
  16. Hey Comfy, Have a look at the CRL's for basic guidance and then jump over and have a good look at an approved Centurion post. There's lots of great pictures and details to be found. As for your forearms. No return edges on them. They might fit better toegther once they're trimmed. Looking good!
  17. Congratulations!
  18. Looking Good Trooper!! Welcome back!
  19. I would steer away from this particular kit. On top of what wingnut said, it's already been (poorly) fitted and trimmed to someone, and it's highly unlikely that you'd be able to recover what's been done, to those thighs particularly. There are a couple full kits available in the "For Sale or Trade" section, and you can always build from a reputable supplier.
