  1. might have gone with just a tad less chips! wheres my salsa!
  2. everything depends upon 2 factors one: your arm leg and torso size two: your film type when you measure your forearm at it's widest point, as well biceps and thighs and shins. if your arms are smaller than normal size it's best to simply make them screen accurate or just a tad smaller. making them too small might make them look funny? if you're too large for the part then you're going to need extra plastic added to the "back side" or "bottom" of the armor. the waist and hips section of the armor is where the belt size is important. most EIB submissions add extra plastic at the waist to make it larger if needed. if you're small like the original actors were then you probably will only add foam for comfort. ANH and ESB have slightly different fittings, while ROTJ has a completely different format for assembling the parts ROTJ requires that the arm and leg parts use the "overlap" format of putting together the arms and legs.
  3. I plan to offer kits where the trigger has a switch, and batteries are cast inside the handle. will be made in 2 halves, with all parts installed.
  4. I personally would not use the clear inner front barell. interesting but not my lil cup o tea!
  5. In some situations it might be better to put the board in 3 parts. power and sd card for one board, led and propagation on one board, sound amplifier and speaker connections on another board. I suggest considering placing the electronics in the front of the blaster, instead of the back. batteries can also fit inside the front, or even in the handle of the blaster itself. you could also consider making 2 areas for batteries. I'd also like to see a charging system for batteries.
  6. it's a common thing... does it bother you?
  7. that sounds like a mod that is not really needed. The T det actually helps to keep the belt together.
  8. you can also add foam to the front of the shin, this will push the sniper knee forward and give you some comfort.
  9. some would use a hall switch on a real sterling trigger group, since there's no room for a switch!
  10. don't be drastic. just put foam in the back of the thigh. cutting the top of the shin would be a mistake. also rotate the thighs outwards and pull them up as high as possible. troopers in the films are tight like this. photos will help. to make it fit better the first step is to have high thighs, then as a last resort you can cut off some at the bottom of both shin parts. most likely the position is wrong if it's hitting you kneecap!
  11. T/mc? without question I'd go for RS props. don't even bother with Tmc.
  12. I really appreciate the mention of my name in the list... it makes me feel all star wars... if you hve any questions along the way, ask before you glue. lot's of parts need placement identification and positioning.
  13. ab plate is one part? this is not AP armor forearms too low. back plate needs strapping adjustment detail shots missing
  14. I would put a shim on the 'back' of the armor. then apply the same width coverstrip. making it with just a coverstrip makes it look funny. it's best to shim from the inside, and then use a coverstrip that's the same usual size. works well. The back of the armor would be as the arm hangs the seam to the rear. you only need about 1/4" shim at the elbow, the regular coverstrip should cover the seam quite well. make the shim a long triangle with the widest point at the elbow. Then taper the forearm only on the back side. should be able to use the same coverstrip... if you remove everything carefully and polish up afterwards it should look fine. most people put the gloves on after the forearms.
  15. angelus leather paint. no prep. just paint and let dry.
  16. I'd prefer a simple circle with a line on it. a rotational device to adjust a parameter. an imperial cog would in my opinion go against the clean lines of the suit.
  17. when browsing a section of the forum and you press load more topics, it used to add page 2/3 ect with every press now it simply loads topics only from page one. and it does not load page 2, page 3 ect. so as you load more topics it's only stacking page one threads on top with each press! press page one threads load... press again.. more from page one.. and so on.
  18. only loads page one on top of itself 2012 skin firefox
  19. scope is not screen accurate. don't forget the inner front barrel nice build so far!
  20. they look like volume knobs with a line on em? love this thread!
  21. when in contact with metal it sure does!
  22. the RS props blaster formerly known as the "pugman" is an ESB resin cast from original screen used prop. for ESB I'd venture Centurion with no problem.
  23. it generates heat as a part of the cure process?
