  1. Thanks man I appreciate that. I hate just posting. I always feel I am going to tick someone off. I know that those Bass Amsterdam are cheaper but I have read more bad reviews then good reviews on them. Will the boots I mentioned pass? If they are passible I don't care if they cost a little more as long as they are good. A yes or no answer is what I would like.
  2. Sorry about posting the same thing on multiple pages. I look at it as the wider the audience you ask the more likely you are to get the right answer.....not that a lot of people are wrong.....I am just going to shut up now and stop digging myself a hole.
  3. Hey everyone. I want to start on my greaves and my friend said I should get my boots first. I found some that I like but I am not sure that they are acceptable. This is my first set of armor and I want it to be perfect for acceptance into the 501st. Here is a link to the boots. Any help would be great. Thanks. http://www.amazon.com/Calvin-Klein-Mens-Galen-Dress/dp/B007RBFRBM/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_6
  4. I am building a TX and came across a post that someone permanently attached their thermal detonator clips to the armor instead of hooking it on their belt. Is that allowed? Can I do that to my TX? How and where do you permanently attach them? What do you use? Any help would be great. Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the tip Splinter I will keep that in mind.
  6. I am currently building my first costume which happens to be a TX or Blackhole trooper. Incase anyone is unsure what that is, it is a black storm trooper and is assigned to the Spec. Ops. site. Other than the color I can not find many differences. Some of the guys here in Ft. Wayne have been helping me assemble the armor but I still have a ways to go and my next obstacle is my bucket. I have been looking at the FISD and the Spec. Ops. site and have seen quite a few buckets but I want one that is already assembled and needs nothing. Though if I need to add padding and electronics that's not a big deal. I do not want to build one and do not know how to build one. I am unsure weather a TK bucket would work or if I need to stick to the TX. I do not know all the differences between the two buckets even though I have been reading and researching as much as I can. I would also like some Ideas on the manufacturer I should order from if I need to order a brand new one as opposed to a used one. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be a big help. Thanks. Sith_Lord117 p.s. my armor is extremely shiny and is made from black abs and I would like a bucket that goes with it, but if it needs painted that is ok. p.p.s. if anyone has a bucket that they would be willing to sell that would work let me know. p.p.p.s. I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to put this article or the sale area or where so if it is not in the right spot can the command staff put it in the correct area and let me know? Thanks again
  7. I just received my box of AM shadow trooper armor and I have no idea how to put it together. How do I trim it? What kind of glue can I use on ABS without damaging it? Can I use tape or clamps instead of Earth magnets or are those needed? How do I measure it? What is it classified as? ANH,ESB,ROTJ, Stunt, Hero????? I have so many questions and I know next to nothing about any of this. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!
  8. Could someone tell me what the standard weapons are for the average Shadow trooper? I would really appreciate it.
  9. I am a noob and was looking at another thread "various types of armor and where to find them" and made my own list from that as to what would work for me. I was going to get in touch with AM and ask them if they could make me a complete suit just my size and ready out of the box, when I found this thread. now I don't know what to do. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I am a noob and I was trying to decide between Storm Trooper or Clone Trooper but this is exactly what I wanted and needed. Thanks for all the info, great thread!!! ps. the Clones are not near as helpful!
