  1. ------------- this is what a TK boot needs to look like. a 501st GML willl not approve boots with weird shapes and seams. the 501 is about accuracy, not the CRL the CRL does not describe the full details... the GML team knows what a proper boot needs to look, the 501 does not approve boots that don't conform to the screen used format.
  2. ok. there is one standard TK boot and NONE of the examples fit. this is not a place where we allow substandard materials and design go away from accuracy. none of these boots will clear GML standards. who's gonna wear slippers on a DT? death troopers don wear em? why would you?: no way I''d wear short slippers and call em DT
  3. those boots will not be approved with a standard TK the seams in front are not approved. throw them in the bin.
  4. glad to see troopers sharing the angelus leather paint method that I suggested in 2010... good deal!!
  5. ok... someone copy pasted TK info into the MQ CRL. first off the undersuit is not black. I won't go on a rant.... clean this up .please?
  6. he gave the link... GO GO GO!
  7. he has the same idea as me
  8. adding the foam liner from TB and a chin strap you raise the helmet above the chest, allow movement and keep the lid in place you have to tilt the lid down a bit/ by ilfting up the helmet from the top of your head, you can turn it, and by tilting your eyeline down you can see.
  9. foam can raise the lid on your head, chinstrap can hold it in place.
  10. my understanding is that some actors had this area cut out in the film.
  11. I'm getting ready to draw red lines on your photos. back in a sec.
  12. FOREARMS: remove the return at the cup part of the elbow. make sure there is no return at the front of the wrist only the back of the elbow has a slight return. where cover strips meet there is no return edge. cut coverstrips at an angle flush at the elbow. you don't want them 90 degrees. BICEPS: on the biceps make the coverstrips flush and not poking out. no return edge on top or bottom. return edge is at the bicep muscle cutout on each side and near the "thumbprint" and shows a return at the top of the bicep near the tricep region.
  13. just a simple thing... and you fixed it... was just a permissions issue with extended staff... thanks for that brother...
  14. I'm on a PC using the grey FISD skin and there is no buttons besides EDIT multiquote and quote. the report button is not visible?
  15. only thing I wonder about is the thigh belt location for the cap rivets the location is incorrect. mike can you explain why you moved the location? thanks in advance.
  16. hello, I was reading the newsletter post about the report button, yet I can't seem to find it on the skin? is it a permissions issue with extended staff? not that I needed the button, but since I don't see it I was wondering.
  17. I like how the armor looks old and lived in. you can clearly see it as wear and tear. most sci fi was put down for not having a lived in look, so that's part of the joy of lucas' vision... I like how the armor has dirt, and flaws on it. some troopers look like they have orange or tan splotches from combat on them... not blood, but this tan stuff... almost looks like makeup. I like the "carbon scoring" from action. then there's the clean white contrast on the death star where troopers only endure endless drills. and no combat. I don't like production mistakes, like bad paint or broken parts. that's film making. so in a way I'm part screen accurate, and part ideal? if I do a deathstar version it will shine and almost GLOW with light.
  18. LOL I guess being so positive may be arrogant after all !!! ::waves hand:: " EFX Will sell ABS hero helmets, there is no try, only DO!" maybe that will work, as long as he doesn't fly and carry a chance cube.
  19. i am not special... I just believe that if enough people ask, then they will offer the product. there are many people who can put interest in a project like that. thanks for the negative waves there buddy, yet that will not stop those of us who simply ask GINO and efx to help out, and my bet is that if enough people ask for a product it will happen.
  20. I am willing to bet that if I want a hero ABS from efx that they will sell one to me. MTFBWY
  21. There are 2 versions of the EFX hero helmet. glass and formed ABS I want the ABS formed version. done deal.
  22. if you run a rivet though the back of the snap it helps hold them to the snap plate
  23. I love the look of this project... from start to finish the RMQCC is a stellar work and I applaud the detachment idea wholeheartedly! AMAZING WORK! BRAVO!
  24. returns on the chest and AB crack when the armor is flexed the wrong direction. the return on the lower chest plate really can't be removed and my AP armor has a crack in the chest return, and a crack in the top abdomen return. I used e6000 and some white fabric to hold it together.
