  1. I like it! Am debating making this change myself. Give us a report if you go for it.
  2. Uh oh will have to edit again, LOL; In Vern's pic, there is much more of gap in the thighs to ab in some than in others. Definitely safe to go for it!
  3. In Vern's pic, it looks like more are trimmed down than not, almost 2 to 1. Definitely safe to go for it!
  4. Nice job! Agree with above comments; your forearms look to have some extra room in them but no biggie. Good luck!
  5. That really does look good. You've inspired me to redo my stock!
  6. Wow- just awesome! Both updates look fantastic.
  7. Some great options! How do the HQOs get fitted into the scope? The jewelers are nice and thick to lay in your drilled hole, but the thinner ones it looks like they would be tricky to glue and not get it on the lens.
  8. Wow you are really nailing the painting! Watch the spacing though on that left tube stripe. Should be pencil's width away from the main lid.
  9. Sure did, I only changed a bit the order of how I ran the couplings. 1 inch for the barrell, 1/2 for the tripod.
  10. Dang. Those babies must be like pulling a spring together!
  11. Couple of pieces of 1/2 inch pvc, couple of angle ends, couple of caps, couple of plugs. About 4 bucks in parts.
  12. Those magnets are not near as strong as the smaller circular ones you can find. That makes a huge difference also. The nickel sized round ones you can barely pull apart.
  13. Yea those are getting pretty wide; even the 2 inch ones. Any way to add a kidney like shim to the thigh backs, that you could then ABS paste or plastic putty and paint the seam? You could then use much smaller coverstrips on the front and back. Its a bit of work though, and you would probably need some more plastic.
  14. Got her painted and weathered; need some brown I guess for the stock, it looked too clean so I had to make due for now. Will get some armor'd up pics next troop; certainly will not have to be shy about handing this off to fans or kiddo's who want the weapon pic, can't wait to have some fun with it!
  15. Have you tried wrapping the tape around the entire piece a couple of times? Apply your glue and then wrap around the middle with tape good and tight; you should hopefully then be able to get your clamps and magnets in place on the parts without the tape, so you can check the alignment.
  16. I have the ind. velcro on the military style padding kit in my lid; works great; no fails yet!
  17. Nice work! All is see is your butt piece is flaring out a bit; could heat bend it in some or add some straps holding in to the cod piece.
  18. Plastic or the latex/rubber ones? Plastic, with elastic bands that are glued to the plastic and wrap around your hands. Latex/rubber, with the super glue that has an activator pen with it that goes on both surfaces first. Be sure not to put the glue too close to the edges- it will run out and look horrible on the rubber.
