Its still above the top of the eyes so it should be ok. No issue for basic approval, check in with our Deployment offices if you wish to go for Centurion level approval. @Chemi @TKSpartan Keep up the solid work Tim.

Should I stick with Elastic loops or go to Snaps?
Sly11 replied to Zinfer's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
In time brackets can crack out of your armour due to the small amount of material they have to go through. Snap plates and snaps with elastic are very durable, easy to replace and i always carry a few spares with me on troops. Double snaps is the way to go in case a single snap fails, at least you still have the other to hold things together and keep you in the game. I've successfully used snaps and elastic now for 9 years with only one failure which I was able to fix on troop in a matter of minutes. -
With many of the FO TK kits you need to glue and paint as well as fill in seams etc. ABS paste is certainly a way to reduce or avoid in some cases, the need to use other bonding and filling agents which require painting over. Generally you need to keep all your scrap cut offs from trimming your armour, and use some acetone to melt down the ABS pieces to create ABS paste which is either the same colour as your armour or only a touch off it. Here is a Link to the thread on ABS paste, have a look and experiment with some scraps to see how it can work. Of course it will require sanding after applied to give the smooth finish, then some polishing to buff it up to a good shine.

The ears are looking great, what a great fit. The only thing to me is they are still a bit thick and could be trimmed down some more but follow those trim lines as that is going to be a very nice fit to the helmet. Probably only 2 - 3 mm more off at most, that way they sit around the RS original and the Lucas archive helmet ear thickness.

TK-21103 Requesting ANH (Stunt) EIB Status [RWA] (1062)
Sly11 replied to Sean PK's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Congratulations on your Expert Infantry approval Sean, great work sir. -
I think most of what I have to say has already bee posted above. There can be bad eggs in any group that don't necessarily portray the ideal roll model for a club, and we are not free or exempt from that. There are more good eggs in the 501st carton than bad that is for sure, but there are many many elements and opinions that can occur to have some one say you are all bad because of x or y or z. Something we do here on FISD is take pride in making sure our forum community is supported, we have a friendly environment and give plenty of reason for people to come visit us here and see what we do and how we assist in making dreams come true and changing peoples lives. We don't tolerate bulling, we don't allow politics as a general topic or anything really that can divide our members, we focus on uniting our massive family in a positive way and this is part of the reason why we have the most active forums in the legion. It's not just what people experience out on the street, it is what they experience on all avenues, like our social media platforms etc, and that is why we also don't tolerate the above mention things anywhere. We are the same where ever you visit FISD and can only hope those who are our members do the same when out on a troop or meeting the public face to face.

TK 26476 reporting for duty

Congratulations Marcel, One of us! one of us!! -
To also further clarify the EIB and Centurion, you assemble your armour to Centurion level from the outset if you intend to apply for centurion. You simply need to apply for EI first, so the deployment team can assist you in making any adjustments or fine tuning before you then apply for centurion. The aim of this is indeed to get you looking as good as you possibly can for that final approval to Centurion. Hope that makes sense for you, but we are all here for you every step of the way.

The spacing looks good as long as you have sufficient flexibility, well, as good as you can in TK armour lol. Definitely follow what Glen suggested above, things start to move a little once you are fully kitted up, and you will soon know what needs repositioning and adjustment.

Exploded views are very cool, helmets looks fantastic.

Everything is looking good so far, keep up the great work.

Pyro's Imperial Armored Commando WIP
Sly11 replied to Pyro's topic in Imperial Commando Build Threads
based on a screen cap, it certainly looks like a fabric belt Jarred. Also from the front they seem to sit quite twisted and crooked at times which also backs up a softer material for the belt. -
Welcome to FISD Alex! Looks like you made a great purchase, RS is very nice armour indeed and i am sure you will not be disappointed. When your BBB ( Big brown box) arrives, pleas don't forget to make a build thread, ask plenty of questions and of course we love photos. Looking forward to your build

Back to you Jarred and apologies for the minor derail of your thread. Great work on the blaster, always a bit of clean up but I'm sure you will erase the print lines and have a cracking finished product. -

Interesting you say that about the snout, I agree and may have said those very words a few times. Tread Speeder Driver/trooper rode something even if it was 50+% FOTK -
This is correct, detachments all look at new costumes for viability, an LMO asked if we were putting a case forward so clearly the LMO team are/were discussing new costumes. Alos correct on the appeal to take a costume onboard that resides in another detachment. It takes both DL's to agree along with the members who own the costume to enact a change of detachment,I wont say it doesn't happen because it has in the past. Pre my time as DL the detachment agreed to pass the Sky Trooper over to another detachment. I spoke with staff by starting a thread as I wasn't sure they were for us but did see some similarities in their action. As staff started to put hings together the story looked more reasonable so I submitted, and to be perfectly honest, didn't think we would get the votes. The LMO team vote on all things to do with costumes with majority directing their decision, not me, not other detachments, not a sole individual. One could only assume other detachments also put a proposal together, I totally assumed there would be at least a couple that would fight it out, not us in the race necessarily. For transparency, I will share what the staff put together, the images they gathered, and the written information they provided. These are screen capped so they are not edited. Aside form the standard gathering of various screen shots (these are now in our gallery so you can check them out at leisure, I added a section of the script which shows how the Mandalorians referred to those troopers I am the conduit to the LMO office so felt their work should be submitted, rather than dismissing it. Again we still believed it would go elsewhere. Below is the imagery and verbiage from the proposal put together in staff area. This is what went through on the proposal, there are a few pages of the discussions but this being the info used is the most important My closing taken from the email sent to the LMO team These troops have acted in the exact same fashion as the First order troops have in the sequel trilogies. Capturing the enemy with improved accuracy of shot like they did for Phasma. You will also notice almost the same shins as the first order TK and the identical boots. Armour covers most of their bodies, what, no butt plate LOL. We see no special operation other than to defend their leader, standard TK behavior and on mass, standard TK protocol, with accessories, again standard for various TK’s I can continue to gather more details as we have numerous staff working on the information capture but I think what we have presented here already shows well the direction we are heading. This is a Stormtrooper at heart and action. As always thanks for your time and consideration Kind regards Andrew Franke TK11469 (Sly11) FISD Detachment Leader Email response from one of the LMO team. Remember, this was not one LMO's decision, this was a vote by all LMO's, Michael was the one to deliver the news of the results of the Poll they ran and majority ruled.

authenticprops vs. rspropmasters differences?
Sly11 replied to 55544's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Hi Ethan AP is cast from a modified RoTJ set of armour and cleaned up to remove a lot of lumps and bumps. Some parts are duplicates as the suit was not complete that it was cast from, Biceps identical left and right as are the fore arms and shoulder bells too if i remember correctly. AP is durable, I have had mine for over 8 years and still troop in it so no issues there, and you can build it to centurion level. RS is indeed cast of an ANH suit which they own. It is a warts and all version as the Stunt buckets were painted white, so the pulls certainly reflect paint runs etc. It;s still the closest you can get in reproduction. it also was not a complete kit so they have sculpted parts to replace those that were missing. Go check out the build threads and look for RS or AP in the titles, that will show you the differences as we have loads and loads of images on the forums of both kits. To be honest, both are great kits, so you cant go wrong sticking with either. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/
