46 year old ABS with zero yellowing, for a start you would have to call bullshit!. To note the sign does say Replica, so either this dude cant read or it is indeed BS lol. Think about it, if it was an original piece it would be left as is with little repair done to it. As a comparison consider the state of the RotJ armour kits when they bring one out to show on the rare occasion, not in great shape, and the Hero buckets that LFL have shown are very yellow as they were not painted like the Stunt helmets puled in khaki HDPE. Check out our gallery for LFL archive photos of several suits and you can see they all suffer the same discoloration and degradation. Standouts for Luke's armour, the forearm shape and build is way off, this is a replica build and an average one at best. Also take note of the Ab section, the ANH armour have a center line that does not line up top to bottom, on the cod it is offset to one side (the nature of a true hand sculpt. By RotJ they had cleaned these up as the molds were in poor condition so the center line was straight top to bottom. This is pulled from a RotJ maker so newer modified buck, not an ANH original so they didn't get that right either. Most ANH armour was trimmed leaving almost no return edges to the bulk of the suits specifically on the forearms, some of the thighs and shoulder bells, even biceps. Straight vs real off set center line/ridge. Easier to see and becomes very apparent from a slight side angle, this one from the LFL archives ANH and not central. If we could see the underside of the helmet, the S trim shape also changed, ANH had a very flat lets call it square edge trim which I believe changed to the S shaped edge trim on later helmets. Also the items already pointed out all show this as a replica as the sign does say, but sadly for the obsessed like us, we can point out all the floors in this build

Certainly getting there now Eric. Make sure you don't do any adjustments to your calves without wearing your boots so you get the right fit at the ankles. Easier to remove material than to try and add it back on if you trim them too much. Once you have the shoulder bridges attached you can start making strapping adjustments so everything sits as it should. Post plenty of photos of this part of the process so we can guide you in positioning and fit. Final tuning may consist of reducing the return edge on some parts for comfort and movement and tightening/shortening your strapping. Great work so far.

Jay my best advice for you is to contact your nearest 501st Garrison where members on the ground and hopefully near by can assist you. If you let us know what country and state you live in we can supply the right web link for you which is a far better option than a global forum as you can find out when the local unit is trooping and meet members face to face.

ESB were indeed from ANH but the paint scheme was changed. The frown was grey in ANH repainted black for ESB. Also the ANH helmets were all hand painted, ESB used decals for the traps, tube stripes and tears, so hand painted is not allowed at the higher levels of ESB where you can use decals or hand paint for ANH. Also to note, the look of the decals for ESB is different, they don't replicate a hand painted style at all but look clean and linear. You definitely have the black frown so it is ESB, and as Glen mentioned, only need a few extra pieces and you have ESB and ANH. Or.... just repaint the helmet to the correct ANH and away we go

You can try adding some pieces of foam if you have space. This can help stop rotating parts like shins and thighs, also easy to add and remove no mods to the amour required. I noticed a few posts back that another member asked about the hand guards. Yous helmet has a black frown which indicates ESB so you are wearing the correct (clam shell style) hand plates for that helmet The trapezoidal shape plates match the Hero and Stunt ANH versions not the ESB, hope that makes sense.

Edit after reading again. ATM it is just the addition of the pack like for like with the exception of the configuration of accessories that are slightly different. None of this formed part of the original discussion so for this time the update is as it is. We can look at this at a later date as this already jumped over other CRL work which started much before this discussion. Please add your points to the original discussion if not already added

Greetings all, Recently we had a discussion and ran a members Poll on making a change to the OT ANH Stunt and Hero CRL's. After analysis of some old behind the scenes images, it was realised that the Space pack as seen in the film was actually worn with the hero version of this costume. The Poll asked should the Pack be removed from the ANH Stunt CRL and added to the Hero, or should it be allowed on both. The results were for the later so now we have officially added the Space pack to the ANH Hero so you can wear it with either of these costumes. There are a few minor stipulation as there already were in the Stunt CRL so it cant be worn worn with certain other accessories. The Space Pack falls under the accessories section and reads as below.

Greetings all The Rogue One TK CRL has undergone a minor update which included one change and some grammatical error correction. So what is the change? The ANH style rubber gloves which we all know are incorrect for this costume has now been removed as an option from basic level approval. ANH style rubber gloves are no longer permitted. You can still however use Nomex, or leather , or leather look gloves as these are closer to the correct style. What was Level 3, the correct style, all black First Order type glove is now level 2 Expert Infantry requirement. This is how the CRL now reads.

Wow this is really nice work, the mods really paid off.

Rogue One CRL UPDATE: I will post this in announcement area once finalised but the CRL will look like this. This is the change made to the Artillery trooper. ANH Rubber gloves no longer accepted at basic, only Nomex and leather type, all other higher level requirments taken from Lvl 3 and moved to lvl 2 Expert Infantry.

I also agree, the embroidered version doesn't seem quite right and should be vinyl. So we need to make sure the image is Non Puffy style ( great technical term) lol Need to include Red and Gray, colours. If puffy is incorrect perhaps exclude it entirely so it must be the flat Rebels style from basic lvl. Can have Chimera logo on, then for higher level, must be vinyl layered maybe, not sticker. Not to forget, this is an accessory so it is optional.

Looks pretty straight forward and would be added as an accessory to the current Rebels TK CRL. If they carry a different weapon to standard Rebels TK's then that would form part of wearing the pauldron. If someone has made one of these then we will need a photo to be used in the CRL. Just look at the pauldron images in other CRL's and that's the type of photo we will require.

I think its well overdue that we update the image for the gloves on this CRL. Currently it shows ANH style rubber gloves where we know they wore TFA style gloves albeit all black with black stitching. Options for language update. If updating the image, I also believe we should eliminate the rubber gloves language from basic, and just leave Nomex style. (they are closer to the correct style than rubber. If this change is made we bring the correct style glove into EI and remove level 3, or we simply don't have a lvl 2 and leave correct gloves at lvl 3 The other option is to only have the correct gloves at basic removing lvl 2 and 3 from this section, as we do in other CRL's like the TFA, TLJ These gloves are readily available and on our Vendors list. Current CRL Black in color, made of either rubber, Nomex, leather, or leather-like material, with no visible straps or logos/designs. The fingers are enclosed, non-textured. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Gloves shall not be made of rubber. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The base material of the gloves will be a black synthetic material similar to Lycra, Spandex, Elastane, or Nylon. Palms of gloves shall be shiny black fabric or leather or leather-like material. On the index finger shall be a stitched piece of fabric made from the same material as the hand's underside that while stitched to the finger has one cutout towards the end of the finger that reveals the netted material underneath. Gloves shall have the correct leather pattern along the fingers/palm. Current Image New Image to be added

The Denou Novo FOTK kits look good. There are a few things however that my guess is wont be assembled from them in a state to meet Legion basic level. If you are not joining Legion with it then pay that no attention, but if you are, it will require having the side joins properly fused together of the abdomen section, and also the chest and back plate will also require the same treatment. 2 ways to do that. 1. make ABS paste to fill those seams or joins, sand then smooth them polish. 2. Use Bondo or other type of fillers sand and then repaint the armour. All armour requires an amount of work to get it up to spec to reach Legion standards, DN are a costume company, they will assemble it the quickest way possible and charge a pretty penny for it too. My suggestion is get in contact with your local garrison. See if there is any armour parties coming up where you can get first hand help, meet some members and learn plenty from the experience. To answer your other question, YES there certainly is a market for barley started armour. again contacting your local garrison may yield an excellent response from someone close buy who is looking for a kit.
