  1. Wiki Document is created for this CRL, next we need to get the descriptive text down. It is based off the Rogue One CRL so each section doesn't need a full rewrite just modification so we have the colours, shape of markings and weathering to work through. I also have some of the images from Honey Mustard and have started cutting them from the backgrounds. This is time consuming so if anyone is happy to do a draft of the descriptive wording for this, that will be of great assistance and we can get this CRL to the LMO team in a shorter time frame.
  2. We already have everything we need, and will be looking at this again in due course. Currently I am building platforms for 4 new to legion costumes, so CRL work is where I am spending my time over the next few months.
  3. Congratulations Cormac, one of us, one of us!!
  4. I can add that in no problem. As all things this is only a first draft to make sure it looked different at a glance with the other wiki origin docs I have ready and waiting for photos and language. I'll make the change when I'm back home from a work regional trip on Wednesday. I shall add that to the context section, so it is clear.
  5. Wiki Doc back end is constructed, haven't fleshed it out as yet but intro title is complete
  6. As we have more interested in building this costume, hopefully we can finally get this one over the line.
  7. We are the same, everything is done on the forums, them we refine it and the wiki is created from that. Legion limits access to wiki origin docs so you cant have multiple people longed in to the one doc and editing at the same time. in that case someones work doesn't get saved or is erased. Me announcing the Wiki document is set up, is making everyone aware i have the back end part of CRL construction ready to go and add info and the most important images required to make it all a reality. Generally we either have a member who is working on the costume start creating or modifying an exiting CRL text which is common here with many of our costumes very much the same. It boils down to creating language for the differences like colour, capes, weapons etc. They do this in theri thread and we all work together on getting it right. The other is we already have a research thread running and we work to bring the CRL together in that thread. Cardinal is of TFA era so we have a TFA CRL as the base to work off. This particular thread is just pointing out the new DN helmet and how we are kinda disappointed that they don't follow timelines correctly. Yeah we are all geeks and that sets off our OCD lol. In cardinals instance we also have a thread that's been running since 2017, so no need to create another discussion thread for the CRL just add anything you need or wish to discuss in the thread i have linked below. Much easier to have everything we need in one place. Hope this is of help to you Dustin
  8. Awesome Chad, you will be back to a trooping TK in no time.
  9. Sounds good Dustin. The CRL wiki document is ready, we just need to hash out the descriptive text and of course the all important photos. based off the TFA TK most of that text will remain, with the obvious additions to transform it into Cardinal.
  10. Sadly Terrel, the maker of ATA armour passed away, his moulds were up for auction so we are currently unsure if the armour will be produced again. We can only hope the purchaser is willing to uphold the ATA legacy.
  11. Good Lord, why cant they just make up their minds and stick to the original time lines!! To the average cos player it probably makes no difference but to Legion where we do our darnedest to follow the movise and time lines as depicted by the artists and writers, this is just a headache.
  12. This build sounds like it's going to be epic, cant wait
  13. The old days, no merch regulations, make as many as you want when you want and those prices were so cheap. Insert sigh! lol
  14. You could simply omit the wire bracket set up for the kidney to butt connection and use snaps and elastic. it will save you any grief you might have with the brackets cracking out of the plates in that area. Generally the join is also concealed by the belt when you are kitted up so no one would ever know. Strapping isn't part of the CRL either although the DO's just like to see how your armour is held together as it allows them some insight in the event you needed to make any adjustments for fitting.
  15. As per my response in the build thread, Not yet. various angles and lighting show many different shades, so unless we get some behind the scenes info from the costume builder, we will probably go with the most commonly seen gray across the limited scenes. This doesn't mean that can't or wont get updated as more info comes to light.

  17. Welcome to FISD Tristan, very nice work on that helmet sir!
  18. Thanks Justin, yes we always default to the real armour for a base, making guesses on a game version shouldn't be considered when we have a lot of references from the movies so things like the glove stitching, no side seams should stay true to what they have based this character off. The main references of difference being the helmet visor and pauldron are very well detailed, and you have done an excellent job of both those. As you well know, we don't make calls on strapping because it is something you cant see. As Gauge wears a double sided pauldron that is cut right up to the neck seal it conceals both shoulder bridge areas completely of the back and under chest connecting area. I think it is fine that you do not need to make that a one piece item and can leave that joint as is if you are using the DN kit. This area will never be seen. I will be creating the origin Wiki doc for the CRL later this weekend so we should continue to discuss the wording of this CRL and any potential additions etc. When you are complete and ready with your CRL images, please put them all in a google drive and PM me the link so I can get them ready to add to the CRL
  19. If anything perhaps a touch too high, drop it a few mm and take another photo please.
  20. Welcome to FISD Eleanor, plenty of help available, just ask as many questions as you need.
  21. Ultimately, there isn't anything sad for FISD about this news, we know our costumes aren't cheap. As Glen mentioned, we are by far and above, the most requested character at events and troops and predominantly our members have to build/assemble our costumes rather than have them made by someone else. Our costumes take time and plenty of care to not only construct, but also maintain to get the best life out of them, and we relish in polishing our armour before troops. There is a lot to be very very proud of when it comes to our catalogue of costumes, loads to be very happy about and not to forget we have no less than four new to legion costumes currently under construction along with their CRL preparation. Just look at the motivation this whole event has created for us, and with these new costumes on top, even more will become Stormtroopers. So turn that frown upside down and get cracking on your new TK today
  22. Please see below the links for four CRL's FISD currently has under construction and discussion. If we managed to get any more under way, they can also be added to the active WIP list. It is awesome to see that we have members working hard towards some exciting new additions to the detachments roster that will aid in further growing and enticing members to our friendly home. These are what we have, and if you have input or can assist these members in bringing their dreams to reality, please feel free to participate in the build threads. Commander Pyre NOW APPROVED, CRL IN LIBRARY. Artillery Trooper NOW APPROVED, CRL IN LIBRARY. (The Mandalorian) Imperial Armored Commando NOW APPROVED, CRL IN LIBRARY. Lt. Gauge (games based character) built to realistic vision. Captain Cardinal NOW APPROVED, CRL IN LIBRARY.
  23. Follow the colour scheme of the book cover and Black series figure. They both show a black cape and that grayish or Matt silver trim. Impossible to know a fabric type due to the formats we have to go off, but if Phasma is anything to go off with her cape, eve that would only be a rough guide adjusting the colour scheme to suit the references we have.
  24. Wow, I had no idea lol.
  25. Good to see the motivation here, also there is another CRL in the works as per a members updated thread earlier today, so we are doing fine.
