Wow, I haven't thought about it. I don't have a custom so just put it in the holster. Since I'm right handed but shoot left handed, I've worn it on both sides. Will be interesting to see what others do.

Love seeing the comparison photos - thanks! Overall it looks good and should be fine for 501st I would think, even though as you point out some details are different from your expectation. Personally to me they don't look much different from most fan-builds though I would say the frown paint is a bit over done for my personal tastes. As for the belt, my understanding is that all belts will have 4 rivet attachment. This is again fine for 501st base acceptance, you'd need to take out two Chicago screws to go EI/Centurion if you want to stay stunt.

Err...kinda sorta. It's also true though that the 501st will protect their own. Education and transparency of information, and at times banning folks, at least is a good start. It's better than a free for all.

FWIW, I've gotten a bunch of PM's and emails lately about ebay or craigslist armor. I said this in my first post on the "Where to Buy" thread, and I'll say it again is at seems people keeping asking the same question: There are tons of recasters or other dubious sellers no ebay and craiglist. Yes, sometimes you can find a bargain and you are certainly free to spend your money anywhere you want. But, we can say that people on the first post have been vetted numerous times, and at the least you are sure to get quality kit from a quality vendor. Anything *not* on the "Where to buy" lists, you swim at your own risk. The FISD staff stays incredibly well informed of who is reputable and who is not. We've done all the homework to take the guessing out of it. It's up to you to leverage it. Or not...
