Yes yes, that last one in particular. :)

On this day, 2021, I received an email from Terrell Reber, who most people know as the person behind ATA. In addition, he was an FISD DL, FISD XO (several times) and an all-around amazing human being. Little did I know that it would be the last time I ever heard from him, as shortly after he contracted and passed away from COVID, as did his wife. I have a ZIB (zero inbox) on my Gmail, or mostly, because I still can't bring myself to delete or even archive that last email from him. I still have the second ATA helmet he ever produced, and it's a cherished part of my collection. Terrell, you are sadly and sorely missed. Your expertise and dignity that you brought to our hobby was second to none. My bucket is off as I raise a glass to you, my friend.

Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying
Daetrin replied to RogueTrooper's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Amen to this. The original program was to encourage people to take their base suits and spruce them up a bit to get rid of the most glaring inaccuracies. It's far, far simpler to build it right the first time vs. upgrading later. -
Woo-hoo! Always good to see another badger join the ranks! Somewhere out there I'm sure is an image of Bucky in TK armor.

SublimeBW's Armor Master's (AM) ANH Stunt Kit - Build Thread
Daetrin replied to SublimeBW's topic in ANH Build Threads
I love this comment. It should be something you have fun with, and not something to stress about. It's a hobby, right? ;-) Keep up the great work! -
Nice! Would love to see more pix.

Nice! What does it look like when printed?
-
Yup, sure did. Easiest money I ever spent, and I was up and running again in a few minutes.

Well, this is my opinion only. I'm no longer the owner of the CRLs, so will need to defer to detachment leadership to weigh in on if its official or not.
-
Thanks so much! I'd be inclined to think it would be acceptable since it's not just a "face" character. The differences between ANH Hero & Stunt are subtle and only seen on a small handful of troopers besides Han & Luke, yet we allow both. So on that logic, it would seem equivalent to me.

OK, I've been out of FOTK costuming for some time and don't remember this at all back in the day. What is the Finn cut if I can ask? Pix are helpful.

The old FX & RT Mod kits were actually much, much easier to build. They came 100% pre-trimmed, no butt joins, no cover strips. Just glue, velcro, and go for the most part.

Actually it depends on who makes the lenses. Mike Appling made some for one of my hero helmets and they worked out great. Also, some folks offer replacement ears so you can take a regular helmet and do the hero option. Note that you would either need to sand and paint t to smooth out the cap and back if you want perfection or leave it bumpy for good enough. It has been years since I last shopped for armor but at one point TM Troopermaster was #1 at least for armor and hero helmets, and TE2 for stunt helmets.

I would do a lot to get a copy of thisk.

Well, that's what my wife would do when I die. A good reason to have some type of document written up, else 1000's of $$ will be chucked in the bin. I don't have an eye for this like Terrell or Wyatt used to who could spot in seconds the exact make, but as noted others do. $50 is a sweet deal.
