Alas, it's the eternal tradeoff between looks and comfort. The more you trim it to be comfortable, the less correct it looks. Yeah, I get the pinch marks too but it's the price I'm willing to pay for looking good

Yup. It does seem a little confusing. My recommendation for new members is to just go for Elite out of the box. It's far easier to do Elite from the start than to upgrade later.

I think it's a matter of cost. Buying enough plastic for one kit here or there ups the cost and many don't want to pay. Even FX does them in runs. This is why 99% of all TX's seem to be 100% FX. Hopefully buckets like this will convince many to start moving away to more accurate helmets (even MRCE). And, if we're lucky, perhaps even considering painting their armor. Us TK's are actually lucky. Every single clone has to be painted, regardless of HIPS or ABS.

MR eat your heart out! The TX boys will be throwing their FX buckets in the trash when they get a load of this.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife Scott. You've been such a beacon of courage and hope in this community trooping as a diabetic and for diabetes causes, I pray that God will give you and your family courage through this as well. It depends on what you mean by accuracy. TE2 has the closest link to an actual suit. TM is the most faithful fan sculpt. At least of the more common armors out there.

I have to say this is perhaps the best FX mod I've seen to date. Awesome!! The results make it look really good. Hmmm, now how to get the other 1000 FX TK's in the Legion to do the same ;p)

Places I can see it happening: 1) Side gaps - most guys are just covering the gap but you can still see that now it's a white gap between front and back instead of a true butt fit. 2) Backs of thighs - yes there should be that lip but it shouldn't be 4" wide. Some people use a lot of shimming, so just filling in the back entirely and running a strip on the exterior may look more aesthetically pleasing.

At a certain point it went from application to show-off thread. It sure proves you don't have to be a tooth pick to fit in TE2 (or AP). It's incredible - post an update with the blaster and it's an easy in. Man, I hope I look as good in my armor as you do in yours.

Dang Craig - looks great! Though you might have been able to pass with AP bells because in the movie they weren't really covering that far down. I think you can make AP fit with a little shimming. People much bigger than you have done it.

Nice! I think over time you can cut a piece of plastic to go on top of the shim to make it look flush - hey maybe even run a bead of sealant on one side. But that's a minor bit on an otherwise great costume - it's really hard to get kit adjusted to fit bigger guys well and you do a nice job of pulling it off. Elite next? You'd be the first from AK to get it Oh - and congrats on your TKID!!!

The UKG has a reputation for being pickier than most garrisons, but it looks good to me. They may want a helmet detail pix though. Heck, a few mods and you would be FISD Elite ;-)

I agree - that's an A all the way. I commuted daily on a motorcycle for 5 years, year round. I agree 100% about the gear. I used to hate bike helmet laws and found them silly. I'll insist on myself and kids wearing them now.

Looking good Kory! I'll come clean and be frank that I have an aversion to the FX helmet, but I can at least gush appreciatively over how the rest is doing. Thumbs up!

Me too - it turned out to be a heat issue with my laptop. Has been running fine in the cooler temps.
